Author's Note: One step closer to the end. Not much to say this time other than pointing out the fact that we're officially in new territory.

Disclaimer: I don't own Total Drama, the shuffled concept or the (most of) the characters.

And to answer some reviews:

Crosshot: Trust me. I'm glad the hiatus is over too. Yeah, 'canon' All-stars 2 is a bit of a shame for me. I was not a good writer then. Anyway, glad to hear you liked Gaties reconciliation and Contessa's match with Justin. Really glad you liked last chapter though. I've always felt the 'warfare' challenges were my weakest. Well I'll definitely give your shufflefic a read if you ever decided to do it. And I've been checking out the topes page. Good work.

Tempokeep: No. I'm done writing nutso Geoff. But there will be consequences for Katie's elimination though.

KryptonianKnight: So glad I'm not the only one who sees the appeal in Justin's' poor villainy. Like I said, Olivessa still has some issues to work through but I felt like throwing them a bone. Eh, Topher and Courtney are trouble, but it won't involve the relationship.

TheChrisanthemum: Yeah, Katie's time in the sun was Pahkitew, this was just to wrap up lose ends with her character. Owen and Izzy are a favorite canon couple of mine. I'm surprised at how well Olivessa is working out. I think I made the right choice making her Contessa's love interest instead of Dawn. Sorry to disappoint, but that wasn't setting up a new Geoff Courtney feud.

Derick Lindsey: I felt really happy when it was finally time to give the Heroes a win. But yeah, this is a 13 episode season. True, I really liked writing Katie, but her it was her time to go. This is the last pre-merge chapter. I don't know why I felt like making Izzy the MVP, but it just worked out like that.

Gucci Mane LaFlare: Glad you liked that scene with Katie. You're right about the bonus clips, but it's too late for this season alas.

LazloVader9943: I still have some use for Justin. And yes, the plan was always for Matthew to be the Big Bad of All-Stars. He wouldn't have gone insane if he wasn't stuck in the robot, but he still would have been the main villain.

i'm sad: Still quite early for Redemption predictions. But I will have to unfortunately burst your bubble because Nemma is one of my favorite ships.

Remaining All-Stars:

Heroic Horses: Brick, Contessa, Izzy, Owen

Villainous Vipers: Courtney, Geoff, Justin, Olivia, Topher

Rio or not, here we come!... That wasn't my best.

Episode 08: Brazilian Dollar Baby

"Last time, on Total Drama All-Stars 2!" The highlight footage opened with the two teams lined up as the previous challenge was explained. "Our competitors became went to war," the Heroes were shown finding their crates, followed by the Villains.

"Contessa's game was way off," the hopeless romantic was shown getting shot multiple times and stepping on a land mine, as was all five shots Izzy made, "But Izzy more than made up for it." Owen was shown next, getting shot thrice in rapid succession by the Villains. "Owen tried to be MVP. Key word being tried. But! He did secure victory for the Heroes for the first time in three episodes by taking down Olivia." His final showdown with Olivia was shown, which ended in the actress being shot.

"Fortunately for Olivia," she and Kate were shown chatting before the challenge, "someone else made just too many enemies that day," Katie was shown insulting Justin which was followed by his confessional. "Unfortunately for Katie," she was shown chatting with Topher which was followed by his confessional, "that person was her." The Latina was shown reacting to being voted out, then tossed off the plane.

The recap ended and the scene moved to the cockpit. "We're down to nine and everything's fine." Chris told the camera. "Who's gonna make it to the gold, and who's gonna suffer a blowout? Find out right now, on Total! Drama! All-Stars! 2!"

[The sequence opens exactly as it did in season three, with a tilted shot of a stagelight swinging up and turning on in front of an airport control tower, followed by another light popping out of an overhead compartment along with a pair of oxygen masks; then a camera forcibly ejecting a raccoon from a wing engine and another camera bursting out of a suitcase, sending undergarments flying. A pair of white-skinned arms clap a film slate in front of the camera, which then flies down the aisle of first class seats. It passes a drink cart, then forces Chris McLean to jump to the side as the camera flies into the cockpit.]

Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doin' fine;

[Chef Hatchet is piloting the plane in its cockpit, bobbleheads of himself and the host sitting on the control panel. For a single frame he turns his head and glares at the camera before it passes through the windshield and out onto the runway, the silhouette of the CN Tower visible in the distance as the camera flies over and through several baggage tugs.]

You guys are on my mind!

[Fading through the whiteness of a baggage cart, the camera emerges close to the CN Tower. The camera flies up along it, the sun shining bright at its peak. The scene arcs downward towards a lake, and speeds forward into it with a splash.]

Ya asked me what I wanted to be,

[The bubbles from the splash fade to show Owen floating underwater seemingly naked. He notices his swim trunks float past him and covers his crotch with a blush on his face, and the camera pans up to the surface.]

And now I think the answer is plain to see!

[On the roof of the cabin of a boat woven from reeds, Dawn is meditating in lotus position.]

I wanna be...famous!

[The camera pans down and to the right to where Olivia is frantically paddling the boat as crocodiles leap out of the water on either side and snap their jaws. The boat leaves the screen, and on 'be' one of the reptiles winces; the camera moves back to the boat, revealing that it had crashed into an inflatable raft that Contessa was standing on. The raft begins to sink, and Olivia quickly grabs her into a fierce hug. The two girls blush and separate just as quickly.]

I wanna live close to the sun!

[The camera flashes to the a snow-capped mountain, immediately cutting to the top it as Brick climbs up from the side, then wipes the sweat from his brow as he helps Courtney reach the summit.]

Well pack your bags, 'cause I've already won!

[The couple stop with shock on their faces as Izzy suddenly runs past. The wildcard blindly runs straight into Jasmine, and the two tumble off the other side of the mountain.]

Everythin' to prove,

[The camera quick-pans to Mitch standing in an open field on Pahkitew Island. He catches Jasmine in his arms and gently sets her down, and she kisses him on the cheek as Izzy lands on the ground behind them.]

Nothin' in my way; I'll get there one day.

[Another pan to the right shows Topher watching with a devious expression. He rubs his hands in anticipation, only for a furry paw to quickly tap him on the shoulder. The camera pans to Scuba Bear glaring at the instigator, who promptly runs away. On the bear's other side, Terrance begins to laugh...]

'Cause I wanna be...famous!

[...Scuba Bear then turns to glare at Terrance instead, even roaring at the boy and chasing him off. The camera zooms in on a mountain in the background, and flashes over to Geoff and Katie walking down the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The party dude turns to the right and screams and the two run away, a large number of fans chasing them away.]

(Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa)

[Justin and B were next, the genius driving a speedboat and the model waterskiing behind him. They speed up and out of frame and the camera shakes for a moment. The shot pans to the right to show that the boys had ran into another speedboat driven by Sasquatchanakwa, Justin now face-down in his and B's boat. The yeti makes a hand gesture that had to be censored and the camera pans up to the sky.]

I wanna be! I wanna be! I wanna be famous! (Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa)

[The jet flies right past a Mayan pyramid, causing whole structure to fall apart; the jet flies over Cristo Redentor in Rio de Janero, startling a priest into crossing himself; the jet flies trough the air and the camera pans down.]

I wanna be! I wanna be! I wanna be famous! (Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa)

[The pan ends on a zoomed out shot of the swim-dressed all-stars lined up on eight platforms according to their teams – the villains holding red dueling sticks on the left of each platform, the heroes holding gold dueling sticks on the right. The camera zooms in and moves between them as they clash – smirking Courtney against smirking Brick; smug Topher being shoved in the water by a smiling Mitch; vain Justin holding off a confused Owen with one hand as he admired his own reflection in a hand mirror; Geoff thrusting eagerly but being easily blocked by an unimpressed Jasmine; Katie smirking darkly as she easily knocked Dawn into the water; Olivia being knocked away by a maniacally grinning Izzy; Terrance evenly matched with B, both boys smirking competitively; and Rebecca evilly smirking as she slammed her stick against a terrified Contessa, the top pieces of the padding suddenly catching fire and making both girls look up in surprise.]

[The lyrics end and a guitar is strummed as the camera zooms in on the two flames as they flare together, and the last few whistling notes play. The fires peter out to show the cast lined up and most of them smiling at the camera, the jet behind them. Mitch is on the far left end; to the right are Jasmine, B, Owen, Terrance, Geoff, Justin, Topher and Rebecca. In front of them are Dawn, Olivia, Contessa, Katie, Courtney, and Brick. Rebecca has her back turned to the camera as the song ends, spray-painting a '2' at the end of the 'Total Drama All-Stars' logo on the side of the jet, then turns and winks at the camera.]

Like so many before it, the episode opened with a shot of the Total Drama Jumbo Jet in flight, headed towards the left with the sun behind it.

XXX

The scene immediately cut to the restroom confessional, where Contessa was nervously looking from the camera to the door.

"Ever since Korea, I've been having a really hard time figuring out what's going on around me," she explained after a moment, nervousness changing to a smile, before going back to nervous. "I was confused when Olivia first kissed me, but when she told me she loved me...," she paused as a flustered blush appeared on her cheeks, "well it was just like the confession scene from my favorite book! But now that I think about it. Like really think about it. I'm nervous as heck! Rebecca was my only relationship before Liv, and I'm just so worried that I might do something to make her not like me like whatever I did last time."

She sighed sadly. "Of course, there's the fact that my best friend hates her guts," she added with a pitiful motion to the door. "And he has a really good reason considering how she sent him home last year" She groaned. "I'm starting to see why most romance novels end after the confession. Relationships are complicated in real life."

XXX

"Is everything okay?" Owen asked Contessa as the scene cut to them trying to relax in first class. "You've been switching from happy to upset all night."

"Err, I'll tell you," Contessa told him. "But only if you swear not to say anything to anyone else. Can you do that?"

"Are you sure?" Owen asked nervously. "After what happened last time-"

"That wasn't your fault Owen," Contessa cut him off. "Besides this time you'll know. I'm not telling anyone other than you... and the person it involves..." she added thoughtfully.

Owen gave the hopeless romantic a blank look.

"I met someone," she explained shyly.

"That's awesome Contessa!" Owen cheered, grabbing the girl in a fierce hug. "You're finally moving on from what happened. I've missed seeing you so happy!"

"That's nice Big Guy," Contessa wheezed. "And I've missed breathing!"

Owen set her down with a blush. "Sorry. So what's her name?"

Contessa awkwardly rubbed the back of her neck. "...Olivia..." she said quietly.

Owen burst into laughter, only to stop in the face of his friend's glare. "Oh you were serious?" he asked.

"Yes I'm serious!" she snapped.

Owen looked flabbergasted for a moment, then angrily told her "You can't date Olivia! Think of the kids! You're Catholic and she's... a witch! How would you raise them?"

Contessa glared at him again. "Okay I think-"

"Have you forgotten all the stuff she did last season?" he asked her. "Like how she used your orientation as a tool to send me home?"

"That wasn't her fault-" Contessa tried to say.

"And she's into girls too?" the big guy continued. "So she's a hypocrite and a witch. Great catch there," he scoffed.

"I don't have to sit here and listen to this," Contessa snapped. "I'm goin to get some air!" she declared angrily, storming out of the cabin.

XXX

"That somehow managed to go even worse than I thought it would," she told the confessional. She growled in anger and punched the door, only to pull it back with a weak sounding "... ow..."

XXX

A deep, ominous tune played as the scene cut to a close-up of a dejected Geoff. He sighed deeply. The camera pulled back a little, first showing Topher sitting next to him and giving him a wary look, then showing Justin and Courtney watching on the other side of the room.

"And surprise surprise," Courtney complained to the team. "Olivia's not here. We need to discuss strategy if we're going to get back into first class. One of those Heroes left a butt divot in my chair. Do you know how long it took to fluff that out?"

"Calm down Court," Justin said smoothly, checking his reflection in a hand mirror. He put it down to look at her. "Can't exactly plan for a challenge when you don't know what it is, and it's not like there's anything we can do to mess with the Heroes' morale." He shrugged. "At least nothing you're capable of."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Courtney asked in offense.

Topher smirked at the exchange, then cleared his throat. "I think he's referring to your boyfriend," he said. "After all, if they lose he goes home. So you're not going to do whatever it takes to win." He chuckled. "You've gone soft. Maybe we shouldn't have made you our leader after all. I think Geoff might have been a better fit. Or maybe Rebecca."

Courtney gasped.

XXX

"I have not gone soft!" the prep declared irritably. "I'll show them! I'm more qualified to be leader than that brain dead party boy and that sociopath combined!"

XXX

Topher sighed. "She makes it so easy..."

XXX

The camera cut back to Contessa as he rolled his eyes, then zoomed out to show her approaching Olivia in their meet-up location. The actress's face lit up upon seeing her crush, but fell into concern when she noticed the hopeless romantic's mood. "What happened?" she asked.

"I had a fight with Owen," Contessa explained. "I kinda told him about us and he didn't take it well." Her eyes widened in panic. "Wait? Was I not supposed to tell anyone?"

"Well I'm not gonna ask you to lie to your best friend," Olivia scoffed. "And It makes sense he wouldn't like the idea of us being... what we are. I wasn't the best person last year."

"But that wasn't your fault," Contessa protested.

"I made the choice to do the things I did," the actress explained. "And I need to own up to that and take responsibility."

"But your parents-" Contessa started.

"-Are horrible people. I know," Olivia finished. "But that's a reason, not an excuse. Besides, it wasn't just the game. Some of the things I did in Hollywood." She gave her crush a serious look. "Some of the things I did in Hollywood make Rebecca look like a saint. I've hurt people, destroyed dreams, careers. I've ruined someone else's life once."

"Why are you taking his side?" Contessa accused. "He called you a witch and a hypocrite!"

"Because he's right," Olivia told her. "Life isn't like one of your books Tessa," she said. "Just because I love you doesn't erase all the bad I've done. A lot of people hate me. I've given them good reason to and if whatever this is is going to work. You need to accept that."

The camera lingered on Contessa as she scowled and looked away. "I have to go," she said before leaving.

XXX

"This is what I was afraid of," Olivia confessed. "I love Tessa, but I don't think she'll be able to accept me for who I am. I'm afraid she only sees what she thinks I could be."

XXX

"Of course I'll accept Liv no matter what," Contessa confessed in a rather put upon tone. "I'm just ticked that everyone, her included, is acting like she's evil incarnate. She's not, and I should know," she said.

She scoffed. "I used to date it after all."

XXX

The scene cut to the series' world map as the plane icon flew westward from the Korean Peninsula all the way to Brazil, set to a dramatic tune.

\

The scene flashed to the inside of a particularly high-end soccer stadium, both teams on either side of Chris with their logos floating into view above them. "Welcome to Brazil!" He told the teens. "This is the Estádio do Maracanã, when it was built it was the largest stadium in the world. For now, it'll serve as the location of today's challenges."

"We're running four sporto contests," the host said, "followed by a tie-breaker if necessary."

The camera cut to Justin as he sighed.

XXX

"Just once I'd like to deal with a nice easy-going challenge. Sports?" he complained. "Why would anyone get all gross and sweaty on purpose?"

XXX

The scene cut to a close-up of a soccer ball on the ground, before pulling back to show Chris standing with one foot one it.

"Our first challenge," the host explained as he kicked the ball in the air and caught it with both hands, "is a little soccer shootout. Each team will pick a goalie," he continued as the shot panned across the Heroes, "and the others from the opposing team will be be the kickers."

"You get one point for each goal you score," he continued as the shot panned across the Villains. "The team with the most points wins the round. So," he absentmindedly tossed the ball from one hand to the other," pick a goalie and let's get shooting."

The camera cut to the Heroes huddled up. "I can do it!" Izzy volunteered excitedly, jumping up in the air.

Brick looked at the others. "It's fine by me," he said. "Any objections?"

"None from me," Contessa shrugged.

"You got this Iz," Owen told her.

Izzy smiled with a blush, then stepped forward.

"Cool," the host said. "Vipers?"

Geoff sighed in annoyance. "Looks like it's me," he said with a glare at his team.

XXX

"Uh hello?" Olivia scoffed. "Do you have any idea how fast those balls fly? I'm not risking my face. It's all I have left."

XXX

"Why risk my looks when other people can risk theirs?" Justin asked the confessional."

XXX

The scene flashed to Izzy in the goal, then cut to Topher standing next to a trio of soccer balls and smirking. Chris blew his whistle, and the instigator kicked a ball at the goal... only for it to fly over.

"You've got to be kidding!" Courtney complained from the bleachers. "Next time maybe try to aim for the goal?"

Topher growled in displeasure, but complied with another kick that hit the goalpost and bounced off.

"Is that the best you can do?" Olivia asked brattily.

Topher scowled at his team again and kicked his final ball, this time it actually went toward the goal, but Izzy easily caught it. The Heroes cheers and Chris announced, "No points for the Villains yet. Next!" A montage of the Villains scoring attempts proceeded.

\

First was Olivia. She kicked the first ball to the left then immediately kicked the second ball to the right. Izzy was unable to block them both and the second one went in.

"Impressive," Chris said. "But I'm only letting that slide this once."

Izzy easily caught the third ball.

\

Next up was Courtney. She pretended to kick the first ball sending Izzy to jump to the left to catch it, only to actually kick it to the right. The ball went in, but Izzy didn't fall for the trick the other two strikes.

\

Justin was the final kicker., and all three of his strikes were caught by the wildcard.

\

"And with that pathetic performance," Chris chuckled. "The Villains only scored two points. Heroes," he looked the the team of four. "You're up. And if you manage to score three goals, you win."

\

The scene flashed to Geoff in the goal, then cut to Contessa standing next to four soccer balls and looking nervous. Chris blew his whistle, and the hopeless romantic kicked a ball at the goal... only for Geoff to catch it.

"Keep calm soldier," Brick called out from the sidelines.

"You got this!" Owen cheered.

Contessa sighed deeply and kicked the next two balls. Both were caught by the party dude, who sent her a consoling smile each time.

XXX

"I am not gonna fail my team again," Contessa declared.

XXX

Contessa narrowed her eyes at the party dude, then kicked the ball wide to the left. Geoff didn't even bother trying to block that one... which proved to be a mistake once it bounced off the goalpost and into the goal behind him.

"One point for the Heroes!" Chris announced to Courtney's irritation.

"No fair!" the prep whined. "She didn't aim for the goal!"

"Hey," Chris shrugged. "No rule against that. Besides he's the one who decided not to block the shot. Next!" He called out to the Heroes, beginning a montage of their own.

\

First was Owen. He ran up to the ball with a jovial shout, only to completely miss the ball and fall flat on his back.

"Aw man," Chris laughed. "And no one even had to take it from him."

\

Brick was next. He looked from the ball to the goal and kicked. The ball bounced bounced off the post and back to him... hitting him in the groin.

The cameras cut to Owen, then the Villain boys, wincing in sympathy and back to Brick and he dropped to the ground with a squeak.

"I guess Brick's gonna be singin' soprano now," Chris commented.

\

The montage ended with Izzy, showing her shot in rapid succession. She scored the first goal, but Geoff blocked the second and caught the third.

Izzy's determined face was shown in a close-up as she ran screaming a battle cry and kicked the ball with all her might.

Geoff caught this one, but it did him no good as the force was enough to send him into the goal with it.

"And that's three points!" Chris announced as the shot cut to him. "The Heroic Horses take the first round."

The shot cut to the team of four as they celebrated their victory.

\

The scene flashed to a close-up of a racquet which quickly zoomed out to show it in Brick's hands as he gave it a few test swings. "Huh," he said blankly, "I guess the second round is about tennis?" the shot zoomed out again to show him standing at the front of the contestants on the sidelines of a tennis court.

"Good catch, dude," Chris told him as he and Chef approached the cast. "First player to reach four points wins the match. Now who's goin in? Keep in mind," he warned with a raised finger, "the goalie from round one can't compete in this round. It wouldn't be a challenge if you made your athletic teammates do all the work."

"But it'd be better for us," Justin sighed.

"Suck it up," Courtney countered sharply. "If you hate working so much, why don't you do this one and get it out of the way?"

"I'll do it," Olivia spoke up before the model could.

"Works for me," the host said happily, "Heroes! Who's it gonna be?"

"I got this," Owen declared.

\

Chris adjusted a cap he'd put on, then smiled at the camera as a tense song began to play. "Battling for supremacy in our second round," he announced as the shot pulled back to show the two contestants already on the court and their teammates in the stands behind him, "Owen and Olivia!" Both were for some reason wearing standard tennis outfits, a yellow button-up shirt and white shorts for Owen and a red polo shirt and white skirt for Olivia

"Sorry," the actress called mockingly from the right side of the court, "but I'm gonna win this!"

The big guy glared at her from the left side of the court, then twirled his racquet. "Serve's up!" Chris called before tossing a tennis ball to Owen.

"You got this, Owen!" Contessa cheered from the bleachers.

"Yeah," Izzy added, "don't let her get to you and you'll be fine!"

Owen nodded at them confidently, raised his racquet, and tossed the ball into the air – the camera followed it as it fell back down and was struck when Owen twirled the racquet down under it. On impact it made a squeaking noise that startled both players, and Olivia had to scramble anxiously to intercept it when it passed the net.

She missed her swing, and the ball squeaked again when it hit the ground. "What the heck? Why's it squeaking?" Olivia asked irritably, looking at it with narrow eyes and her arms crossed.

"It's a dog toy," Chris told her as he walked over and picked the ball up. "That's why." he tossed it lightly in his hand, making it squeak again. "That okay, Miss Diva?" Olivia scowled and nodded, and Chris walked away. "Point to Owen!"

\

Once again, the optimist served the birdie quickly and easily, and once again Olivia failed to return it – but by a smaller margin that last time. "Woo! Great job Owen!" Brick called to his teammate. "Keep that up and we'll be winning this challenge in no time!"

"Well, at least we know who to vote out tonight if we lose," Courtney commented snidely from the Villains' side of the stands.

Olivia grit her teeth in frustration, and Owen made his third serve. This one was returned, however, and it was Owen's turn to scramble for an interception. The music picked up as the ball was followed back and forth, squeaking each time it was hit.

"You can do it, Owen!" Contessa cheered from the sidelines. "We believe in you!"

"Show her who's large and in charge!" Brick added.

Owen smiled and started putting more force into his swings, making it harder for Olivia to keep up. The actress glanced at her team, but only saw them staring at her with a mixture of boredom and disappointment.

XXX

"I've already lost Tessa," Olivia told the confessional. "But I'm not about to roll over and quit. I am Olivia Broadway and I am going to win!"

XXX

The music deepened as a montage of Olivia hitting the ball was shown, including shots of her diving, hitting the ball with two hands like a baseball bat, and jumping higher than the net return the ball. It ended when she tossed the racquet up into the air with a twirl and a pose, intercepting a high-flying shot and sending it hurtling back at a shocked Owen.

It struck him square between the eyes and knocked flat on his back. "That's what you get!" Olivia called from off-screen as cartoon birds were shown flying around the big guy's eyes. They flew off when a whistle was blown, and Owen sat up in a daze.

"We have a winner!" Chris announced, the music turning triumphant as Geoff began to holler and cheer, the rest of the Villains joining in with considerable more reserve. "Now that's how you play tennis!" Chris said as he watched Olivia walk up to her team with a grin on her face.

XXX

"Is it weird that watching Liv was... kinda hot?" Contessa asked sheepishly. "Maybe it was the skirt..."

XXX

"Way to actually come through for us for once," Courtney told her.

"Excuse moi?" Olivia asked rudely. "The way I see it, I'm the one out of us two that won something."

"Oooh, looks like there's some tension among the Villains!" Chris said as he suddenly popped into the scene, putting a hand on Olivia's shoulder and earning a glare from her in return. "So don't go away," he added as he dashed over to the ref's chair he'd been sitting on during the match and climbed up it, "there's still more sports-themed fun to come on Total! Drama! All-Stars! 2!"

\

(Commercial Break)

\

The episode came back to the Villains walking off their team's bleachers at tennis court, Topher and Justin at the front followed by Olivia, Courtney, and Geoff. The prep lingered briefly at the edge of the seats, grabbing Geoff by the arm and holding him back.

He gave her a scathing look, to which she whispered "I think it's time you and me had a much-needed talk." Geoff snatched his arm away with a glare, causing the prep to palm her face. "Look, I know you don't like me, but we need to discuss our future plans in this game."

She tugged at his arm and they started walking side by side, following the path their teammates had already taken. "I'll make this quick," Courtney said brusquely. "As much as I hate to admit it, we might end up losing again before the teams merge, and if that happens the two of us have to be on the same page."

Geoff's face fell into a look of actual rage. "Like how you and Topher were on the same page yesterday about giving Katie the boot?" he asked her.

"Let me guess," Courtney sighed. "Olivia told you that."

The party boy's eyes widened in realization. "How'd you know?" he asked.

"Because she came to me to keep me from voting her off," Courtney explained. "I don't know why, but she played us all. Remember that got her to the semi-finals last time. She's clearly too big a threat to keep in the game. So agree to vote her off first chance we get?"

Geoff tapped his chin a few times, and nodded his head. "I'm in," He said, extending a hand between them. Courtney looked at it for a few seconds, then shook it firmly.

"Good," She said with a smirk.

\

The footage flashed forward to the contestants sitting on wooden bleachers, separated by team with Heroes on the left and Villains on the right.

"SILENCE!" Chris shouted in an even though no one said anything, earning the attention of all nine contestants. He was dressed in a poor approximation of Spartan armor, standing in a chariot being pulled by the long-suffering interns. A suitably dramatic piece of music began in the background as he continued. "The score is one to one! And now, it's time for," he continued as the chariot came to a halt in front of the bleachers, "Greco-Roman wrestling," the camera panned to follow his handwave, revealing that a boxing ring had been set up where the tennis court was. "So who's going in the ring?" he asked with a gleaming smile.

Contessa immediately cringed.

XXX

"I gotta say," she told the confessional camera, "I am not looking forward to wrestling anybody. These challenge look like they're getting more athletic and I am so not an athletic person, she gestured to her somewhat petite body in demonstration.

"But if the choice is a challenge I might blow verses a challenge I'm pretty sure I will," she sighed.

XXX

"I'll do it," the hopeless romantic volunteered meekly. The camera cut to Topher as he smiled.

"So will I!" Topher declared.

XXX

"Now this is a situation," Topher told the camera confidently. "While Contessa and I are about the same strength, I know there are some definite buttons I can push to make sure I win.

XXX

Topher was stretching in his swimsuit in the right corner when the footage resumed, smirking cockily across the ring. The camera panned over to Contessa, also in her swimwear but sending him a hate-fueled glare.

"Suddenly I'm feeling really confident," she whispered to herself before the shot panned over to Chris, who smiled impishly and pulled a rope that was hanging next to him.

The camera zoomed out as a high-walled glass box filled with colorful plastic balls was dropped into the ring on top of the contestants, a few balls scattering on the floor with the impact. The contestants on the stands looked shocked and surprised, and Contessa popped back up completely flabbergasted.

"Um. Why a ball pit?" she asked with disbelief after shaking herself out of her daze.

"A seriously disgusting ball pit," Topher echoed, surfacing nearby with a used diaper on his head. He tossed it away with a look of abject horror, forced himself not to wretch, and glanced at the host. "Are these the same balls from season two?"

"Yep," Chris answered happily. "Our budget isn't quite what it used to be so we had to make some cuts."

"Then how can you afford the fly-" Contessa started before Chris interrupted her. He picked up a large curved brass horn and blew a few notes, signaling the start of the match.

Topher was the first to move, diving into the balls while Contessa watched and looked around with anxious caution. The instigator resurfaced seconds later, pouncing on the girl's back who screamed in fright. He quickly put her in a headlock, and the two slammed into the ground.

They resurfaced a moment later, and she grabbed him by the arms and tried to pry him off her. "Step off!" she told the instigator as she grunted and struggled to loosen his hold. "You are not taking me down that easily." She finally managed to break his grip, and turned around to face him.

"Why so hesitant?" Topher mocked in a voice low enough for only them to hear. "Realize you can't win?"

He took a step towards her, but she scowled and stood her ground. "More like I'm concerned about being trapped in a ring with the guy who threw me off a plane."

Topher recoiled in mild surprise before smirking. "Hey at least it scored you points with the girlfriend," he told her before letting out a fake gasp. "Oh but it didn't did it? Because she was using and turned you into an international laughingstock."

Contessa let out a vicious growl, and she tackled him in the stomach before he could say another word. The shot cut to the spectators as they watched in mild horror at the beating Topher was receiving.

"I am so sick of people acting like they can treat me however they want!" Contessa declared as the shot cut to her on her opponent's back. Topher was now sporting a rather terrified expression. They resurfaced and a few more punched were thrown. "I am a person!" They went under again and resurfaced. "And my feelings matter!"

She tackled him again, slamming him against the glass. She pulled a fist back and prepared to strike. "And now I'm gonna make you as ugly outside as you are inside!"

"Not the face!" Topher pleaded. "I give up! You win! I surrender!" He cried. "Please don't mess up my face!"

The music came to a complete stop, and Contessa gave him a blank look, then dropped her fist and wiped the sweat from her brow.

"And we have a winner!" Chris announced with a grin, a victorious tune playing as the other Heroes cheered. Topher glanced at his teammates, and shrunk under their glares.

"Okay," Topher told the confessional. "I'm gonna need to really work to avoid the boot for this one."

The scene cut to a close-up of a smiling Chris walking across the soccer field used earlier that day. The camera zoomed out to show the nine contestants and host gathered on the left end of a simple race track with several pairs of hurdles – half yellow and half red - set between the starting and finish line flags.

"So, as we head to the fourth and final leg of the Total Drama sports tournie, the Heroes are ahead two to one." The four leading players were shown standing together and smiling at one another. "Now it's time for the hurdles event!" Chris began. "The ultimate test of speed and flexibility. Players must leap higher and higher," he explained as the shot cut in close, then quickly began panning across the progressively taller hurdles, "over these hurdles while they race for the finish line. First one across wins the round!" he said as the shot landed on the finish line tape.

"And since Brick, Justin, and Courtney have yet to compete, Brick'll be going head to head with whoever the Villains choose!" the host added before the shot panned over to the three competitors in question.

"You don't last long in the cadets without being fast and flexible!" Brick boasted.

"Good," Courtney replied confidently. "I was worried this wouldn't be a challenge." Brick raised an eyebrow at the prep's smug look, then with a grand tune she touched her hands to her foot and brought the other high above her head.

Brick was gaping appreciatively as Courtney turned around and planted her leg on the ground. The put her hands on her hips and sent a smirking glance back his way.

"Well if I wasn't gay before," Olivia told the camera. "I am now."

XXX

"I...," Brick began, raising his finger as if to speak, but he quickly faltered with a blush. "Umm...I...oh...mmm..."

\

The footage flashed ahead to a side view of the two boys at the starting line, Brick closer to the background with Courtney in the fore.

"On your mark," Chris began, raising an airhorn as a sharp dramatic note started off the challenge music. "Get set," the host said, the couple sharing one last glance as the suddenly soft music began to build up.

The airhorn was blown, and the two took off with the music. Courtney gained the lead even before they leaped over the first set of hurdles and widening it as they passed the next two.

"Don't worry," Courtney said cockily as she turned to face him while maintaining her lead, "I don't mind you staring at my butt." Brick didn't react, but sped up.

The shot cut to the others watching from the sidelines, with a particular focus on Contessa and Owen. "This is good, right?" she hesitantly asked her friend. "I mean, Brick's gonna win for sure!"

The camera cut back to Courtney, who was now neck and neck with Brick. She both easily flipped over the next set of hurdles and landed on his feet with Brick jumping to the same effect.

"You better not lose Courtney!" Olivia called out as the camera moved back to the sidelines again, now showing all Villains watching nervously.

Courtney scowled at her team, then stuck her leg out in front of Brick. He tripped and wound up smacking right into the next hurdle, which was at about head height. Not even sparing him a glance she leapt over it head-first, but landed in a graceful roll that took her well past her boyfriend.

"Get up Brick!" Owen shouted, the girls he was standing beside joining in. Brick gasped and rubbed his forehead in pain, then quickly moved to catch up.

Courtney was shown running as fast as she could; he looked back and the camera zoomed out to show Brick rapidly coming up behind her and both teens approaching the finish line. The prep faced forward again and grit her teeth. She naturally sped through the tape first, skidding to a stop and raising her fist with a triumphant "Yeah!"

"Courtney?" Brick asked with betrayal in his voice as he doubled over and panted.

"A point for the Villains!" Chris announced, holding up the prep's arm as the challenge music finally reached its conclusion and the off-camera Vipers could be heard cheering. The camera cut to Courtney as she looked down in shame.

"Now," the host said swiftly, leaning forward dramatically as the more generic background music that had resumed after the triumphant tune ended quickly rose in tension, "we go to the Olympic Tiebreaker!"

All nine teens looked wary at the announcement.

\

The scene flashed over to a jumbo screen set up by some fake buildings, the host appearing on it immediately. "Get ready for the battle of battles," he announced as an intense metal song played in the background, "the grudge match the world has been waiting for!" The screen soon cut to static. The viewpoint shifted to a distance shot of the football field, now without any additional courts on it, as the host drove up in a golf cart holding a large boom box of all things.

"Boom box?!" Courtney exclaimed in disbelief.

"Correct," Chris told her with his trademark grin, "because the tiebreaker is a dance-off between Justin, and one of the Heroes."

"But why dancing?" Owen asked in confusion.

"Every Olympic games," the host explained, "the host country adds an event to the roster. The 2024 games will be held in Paris and France has added breakdancing as an event. Since I'm pretty sure breakdancing will break you," he continued with a chuckle. "I'm expanding the game to all dancing. So Heroes," he looked to the Horses. "Pick a dancer and let's get down!"

\

A slow, deep tune played as scene flashed to a stage that had been set up on the field, flanked by maroon curtains and with a disco ball hanging from the middle of it. Seated at a long desk in front of the stage were three local teenage girls; each one had a glass of water in front of them.

"The dance contest will be judged by these local teens," Chris began as the camera moved in front of him to reveal, "Now first up is Izzy of the Heroic Horses."

"Ready~!" Izzy said with a singsong grin, the shot cutting to her leaning only her head out from backstage.

"Good," Chris said dryly. "Now hurry up."

"Don't worry," Izzy said brightly, "I totally got this. Music, please?" she turned her head and asked, the shot cutting to Chef holding up a boombox and pressing a button on the front.

The camera cut back out to show the full stage as the music began, mystical with a clear middle-eastern style. The shot switched to a close-up to show Izzy up with her hands in the air and mimicking snakes. "I call this," she announced lowly. "The dance. Of. The rattlesnake."

She began her dance, humming along with the music as she shook her hips in a way that was just shy of provacative. "Look into my eyes and what do you see?" she asked as she did some belly dancer-esque moves while twirling around and moving closer to the judges.

"She's good," Owen said to Contessa, both eyeing the dance appreciatively.

"I'll say," the hopeless romantic added.

Izzy returned to focus as the music sped up, and her dancing did accordingly. He as her moves got faster, they became more exaggerated and finally she stopped in a flurry of hip shakes that were almost too fast to watch.

The shot immediately cut to the judges as they began to applause, then to the edge of the bleachers as the Villains looked on and shared nervous looks.

"Interesting," Chris said as the shot cut to him. But before you know how you did, it's time for Justin!"

The shot cut to the stage, the music cutting out and nobody appearing. Somebody coughed in the distance.

"Uhh, Justin?" Chris repeated, raising an eyebrow.

The model finally appeared, walking onstage slowly with a charming grin.

He smiled, then snapped his fingers. The shot cut to Chef as he pressed a button on the stereo with a deadpan expression, and a tranquil tune began to play from it. Justin took a deep breath in through his nose, closed his eyes, and walked forward. Then, all at once, the music switched to an trendy tune, his eyes snapped open, he tore off his shirt and he began posing to the beat of the music. The camera cut to a variety of different angles as he continued his 'dance', showing various poses one might find in a fashion magazine. Eventually, he pulled a cord on stage, and drenched himself in water. He winked a the judges and flashed a gleaming smile as the music ended.

Chris and Chef shared a look. "Uh, okay then," Chris said awkwardly. "That wasn't exactly dancing, but whatever. Let's see the judges' scores," he said with a look to the side.

The camera cut to each of the girls as one by one, they all held up a sign with the Villains' logo on it "That's what I like to see," Justin told the girls, causing one of them to giggle and blush and the other two to glare at her.

"Well how about that?" Chris said in amazement as the shot cut to him. "The Villainous Vipers win! And as for the Heroic Horses," his face fell into a disappointed frown, "I'll see you in the elimination chamber!" He gestured over his shoulder with his thumb, then left the Villains to cheer and high-five one another.

\

The camera cut to the cargo hold where Olivia was waiting around irritably. "What do you want?" she snapped upon seeing Contessa.

"Okay I deserve that," she admitted. "I kinda didn't realize how it looked when I left earlier. I'm sorry about that."

"Well my point still stands," Olivia huffed. "Are you gonna be able to deal with my past or not?"

"I can deal with it," Contessa told her. "But I still want my best friend and my gir-" she stopped herself short. "Friend-girl, to get along. And I'm not budging on that with either of you."

Olivia's let her frown fade into a tentative smile. "Okay. I'll try to get on his good side but I can't promise anything."

\

The scene flashed to the dining area, where Courtney was running over to a despondent Brick. "Brick!" she cried, wrapping him in a hug. "I'm so sorry about today."

"What happened?" he asked. "You're not usually that cutthroat," he paused and added. "Anymore."

"I let those stupid Villains get in my head this morning," she explained. "Can you forgive me?"

Brick smiled. "Aw, I can never stay mad at you," he told her, giving her a kiss.

\

The scene flashed to the elimination chamber. As usual Chris and Chef were by the podium with the cook in his security guard get-up and the host behind the podium with a plate of marshmallows.

"So, the Heroes lose it again!" the host said over a shot of the four teens, Brick seated in the front row somewhat apart from the rest of his team. "Must be difficult, especially since Izzy's the one who blew the tiebreaker!" The usual dramatic score began in the background, underlining the points and moments as the host and Horses spoke.

The camera focused on Izzy, who was sitting in the second-highest row with Contessa two rows below and Owen between her and Brick. "Hey," she said indignantly, "that so is not my fault!"

"Maybe, maybe not," Chris said with a grin before turning his gaze. "Brick sure didn't help with her loss to Courtney in today's hurdles match!"

Brick crossed his arms. "She played a dirty trick."

"Hmmph," the host sniffed. "Meanwhile, Owen here failed completely when playing tennis with Olivia!"

Owen just scowled at the reminder.

"Contessa!" Chris continued with a grin. "I'd say you're the only one here who might be safe! For the first time this season."

"Hey!" the hopeless romantic cried out in offense. "That make it sound like-"

"I really don't wanna hear it," Chris interrupted. "Just take the marshmallow!" He tossed a fluffy bit of white to the girl, who glared but caught it anyway. The camera panned down to Izzy who was tossed an treat as well, and she caught it a small bit of surprise. "Rattlesnake, you're safe too!"

The focus moved over to the podium as Chris turned a solemn look over to Chef The background music turned tense, and Owen and Brick were shown looking nervous

"Owen, I'm sorry, but..." the host said slowly and sorrowfully, attracting boy's girl's attention and putting worry on his face and an surprised smile on Brick's, "...head's up!" He suddenly tossed the final marshmallow his way, and he caught it eagerly.

"Yes!" he cheered, standing up and pumping his fists, only to look at Brick and groan. "Sorry."

"No!" The Cadet countered, standing up as well with an utterly distraught expression. He let out her breath, and hung his head. "Aww who am I kidding, I saw it coming a mile away..."

The standard solemn and reverent elimination song began to play as Chef Hatchet grabbed Brick and subjected him to the Toss of Shame. He was thrown out of the plane and landed on the ground on his belly and turned back to Chris.

"Have a headdress," the host told him tossing the eliminated teen a feathery headdress. "It's Carnival!"

\

"Wow! Looks like the game's getting intense!" Chris laughed as the scene cut to him in the cockpit, an energetic and sporty song starting up as he raised his hands. "Have the Heroes finally dealt with all their problems? Will the Villains continue to dominate?" He gave a careless shrug. "Probably not. But! See if I'm wrong by watching the rest of Total! Drama! All-Stars! 2!"

(Bonus Clip)

"Honestly, I'm kinda glad to be outta there," Brick told the camera as he sat calmly walked down the field. "The million dollars would have been nice, but even if I made the merge I'd probably be out first since I made the finale last time."

"I did think Contessa would vote for Owen considering their argument this morning," he said. "I didn't catch what it was about, but the way she stormed off meant it was a big one. Guess I was wrong."

He opened his moth to say something else, but was hit in the head by a stray soccer ball and knocked out.

Author's Note Post Script: As I know several people have been predicting, Brick was the next eliminated Hero. I think I've given him a good exit. I liked him being the team leader, but ultimately everyone else has a role this season. Yes even Justin.

Overall, this chapter was a blast to write. the soccer bit was admittedly award, Olivia trashing Owen in Tennis, Justin actually getting to be useful for once And Topher once again subtly manipulating others to get his way. Let's face it, the Heroes' fate was sealed the second Courtney tripped up Brick, and there's no way she'd have done it without that push.

Oh, and the dance-off; I didn't make that up. Breakdancing really will be an Olympic even in 2024.

Anywho, next time is finally the merge! How do you think things will pan out, and how did you like this episode? I'm eager to here your thoughts and reviews.

And as always I'm sure I'm forgetting to mention something.

I hope you all enjoyed the episode, or some part of it.

Please stay safe and healthy during these difficult times.

And I'd also like to remind you guys that a TVTropes page for this series does exist and needs you guys adding to it.

With that I'm signing off
