Emma's song- part 2

Dutchwriter asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch373 "Emma's song". Will contain 6x20 spoilers!

Emma couldn't believe it. It all made sense now. Of course that was the song her mother used to sing while she was pregnant with her. It was the song inside Emma's heart. Subconsciously, her mother must have known that. Even if she couldn't actually remember the day everyone in the Enchanted Forest burst into song. She remembered Emma's song, and that carried Emma through her childhood.

Even when Emma watched her mother (or her father) sing her little brother to sleep, it was never that little tune. No, that tune was reserved for Emma, and Emma alone. It filled Emma with a feeling of love like she had never felt before when she thought about it. She had her own song. Her parents had gifted her with her own song with magical properties. She had never been alone.

Even now, whenever Emma drifted to sleep at night, sometimes she could swear she heard the little tune being hummed somewhere far off into the distance. She always pegged it as her mind playing tricks on her, or that she was beginning to dream. Emma wasn't to know that often, one or both of her parents would be close by, humming the little tune. They knew it brought her comfort. If they were honest, it brought both of them some comfort too. They might not have physically been with Emma, but they had been with her, in a manner of speaking. That was more than they had ever hoped for.
