May Muses 11- Baby? Sb

Time for May Muses day 11! It's basically the mirror image of yesterday's. With this time, Snowing debating whether or not to have another child in Storybrooke. Set after Neal's birth.

What did I do to deserve you?" Snow sighed. Charming just smiled at her. He knew she was bound to need some TLC for today. It had been Neal's first day of preschool. He had seen how emotional she was becoming over seeing their little boy move onto the next stage of his life. So he had taken the day off to a) be there to drop Neal off and pick him up at lunchtime and b) give Snow some comfort. After dropping Neal off, he took her back home and cooked her some brunch by candlelight. He had her favourite music playing in the background to try and help her shift her focus from Neal.

"I just can't believe he got so big so quickly." Snow sighed. "I mean, one minute, he was just a tiny baby and I never had to put him down. Now he's a big boy off to school. How did this happen, Charming?!" Snow asked. Charming smiled, reaching across the table and taking her hand.

"Kids grow up, unfortunately." Charming pointed out. A thought struck him. "But just because Neal is growing up doesn't mean we have to give up on all those tiny baby snuggles." He said. Snow looked at him, confused. "Snow, we could have another baby." He said explicitly. Snow sat back, contemplating.

"I don't know, Charming." She admitted. "I love when we're pregnant. I love the excitement of getting to have a baby with you, but what about the two we already have? Emma took a while to accept having Neal around, no matter how much she denies it. She was worried for ages about being replaced by a child we got to raise. What if the next one is a girl? What if that pushes her over the edge? Then there's Neal to think about. He's been an only child for three years. What if he rejects a new baby. Then there's the financial implications..."

"Hey." Charming said. "Snow, our children would cope. Emma managed once before, she would manage again. She knows we could have a hundred little girls, we would still love her just the same. I think Neal would adore being a big brother. As for the financial side, we'd make things work. We always do. Plus." Charming ran his hand up Snow's arm. "Making babies is awful fun with you." He said entrancingly. Snow smiled at him. She couldn't deny that bit. She looked into Charming's eyes. He wanted another baby, so did she. Emma and Neal would manage, wouldn't they? They were royals, surely they'd be financially stable with another mouth to feed, wouldn't they? Well, they had a couple of hours before they had to pick up Neal...

"Well, since you made it sound like such fun..."
