After too many rounds of drinks were had, the group made their way through Diagon Alley back to their shared apartment with Pansy Parkinson and Daphne Greengrass. Draco and Adrian watched as Theo recounted their night at the club to Blaise and Pansy. Blaise sat with his chair pushed back on two legs twirling his wand around his finger, having heard the story already. Pansy held a glass of elf wine in one hand and her face propped up in the other.
"So you are saying that 1) Granger is an alcoholic and 2) that she had some clandestine meeting gone bad at a nightclub?"
Theo clapped his hands together. "Precisely Pans, do you doubt my story telling skills? I barely recognized her at first, but the lion's mane and indignant expression definitely gave it away."
At that moment Daphne entered the kitchen, her blonde hair piled on top of her head and an unlit blunt pushed behind her ear.
"You all saw Hermione tonight?"
Draco narrowed his eyes looking over at Daphne, "Hermione?"
Daphne blushed, swinging herself around to sit astride Blaise's lap, knocking the chair back down to four legs in the process. "Oh uh, yeah." She stammered. "We are kind of friends." Pansy scoffed, a horrified look on her face that spoke to betrayal.
Theo choked. "You and Granger are friends?"
Daphne continued to blush, giving a mollified look over at Pansy. "I know you all do not like when I bring up Astoria." A round of groans sounded around the table. "Come on Tori is really not that bad!" Draco snorted and rolled his eyes before Daphne scoffed, continuing.
"Anyways, Hermione was the one who broke our family curse that was passed to Tori. She is a brilliant potioneer and curse breaker, travels the world doing different jobs no one else can do. We met almost 2 years ago now, kind of hit it off."
Blaise's eyes narrowed looking at the flushed face of his girlfriend whose voice had suddenly increased in pitch. "Hit it off?" He asked.
Daphne laughed. "Yeah, we usually meet up whenever she is in town and keep regular correspondence. You all would really like her actually, she has changed a lot since school."
Adrian snorted indecently. "Well that much seems obvious."
Daphne stood up from Blaise's lap suddenly and began pacing their small kitchen. "I should owl her and invite her to join us tomorrow night at Knockturn, she is such a laugh, you would really-"
Blaise cut her off. "Like her, yeah we get it. What aren't you telling us Daph?"
She cut her eyes over to Blaise, speaking lowly. "You know that story you like me to tell you about Halloween two years ago…" She trailed off.
"Bloody hell!" Blaise said suddenly, his eyes growing wide.
Theo was shouting, "What? What about Halloween?"
"You were gone, I remember you weren't here." Adrian interjected, scratching at his head in confusion.
Blaise began laughing loudly, his eyes watering. "Granger-" He sputtered trying to calm the laughs bubbling forth in his inebriated state. "Granger fucked my girlfriend."
The whole room went completely silent.
Daphne smiled shyly. "I would not quite put it that way."
Everyone began to join in with Blaise's laughter, the whole room catching on slowly. Pansy's head was thrown back, loud howls of laughter echoing out of her. Adrian was slapping the table in exuberation. Theo could not stop smiling and he began clapping Draco on the back whose mouth hung open in astonishment. "I am so in now, go ahead and owl Hermi-o-ne." Adrian said, drawing out the syllables in her name.
Daphne squealed, skipping out of the room, "Oh this will be so much fun! Everyone is really going to-"
"Like her, we know!" They all chorused together.
Draco rolled his eyes at his friends wondering why he himself was suddenly so interested to see the witch again?
