Chapter 5

\:/Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto or any IP affiliated with it. AN/ Hey guys, sorry for the long delay on this chapter, a lot happened in the past few months so I wasn't exactly in the mindset to write 3,000 words some weeks. I thank you for waiting and I hope you enjoy the chapter.\:/

"Wait, really!" Naruto exclaimed, after asking Ayame if she could teach him how to cook she agreed, although she did tell him it wouldn't be all the time, it'd be often enough for him to learn and improve. Naruto agreed with excitement, at the prospect of becoming a true shinobi capable of being self-sufficient.

|You still have to buy ingredients, you brat.| The Kyuubi pointed out.

|Alright, maybe not really self-sufficient, but more responsible.| Thought Naruto, putting emphasis on really.

"Thanks, Ayame! Just tell Ji-Ji that you need me when you can find a good schedule to teach, he'll find me and let me know."

"Haha! Sure Naruto I'll let him know if I can get in." Ayame said.

"Thanks, now I think I'm gonna get home, I need some more strength training in." Naruto said with some amusement in his voice.

"Awww, Naruto isn't going to get any ramen?" The brown-haired woman jokingly pouted.

"Not tonight, Maybe on the nights after you come down to help me out I will though." The smiling blonde said. Being around Ayame was always fun, She was like his older sister, especially with being three years apart, she had still made an impact for always being one of the few people nice to him.

As Naruto turned around to leave he noticed something extremely odd. Right in front of him was a rock. Not just a standard rock mind you, It was an extremely rectangular rock, so much that it was actually a rectangle. That part wasn't the only confusing part. There were two eyeholes seemingly cut out.

Naruto deadpanned at the lousy hiding spot, he quickly moved on just to try walking away from the rock, starting towards the field in order to gather all his stuff. |Kyuubi is that who I think it is.|

|If who you're thinking of is some short-strawed, training helmet runt following you then you'd be correct.|

|Oh Kami, I better walk out of here fast shouldn't I.|

|I'd recommend it unless you want a barrage of this kid constantly attacking or nagging you.|

Naruto quickly walked to the left, speeding out of the area for fear of having to deal with an obsessed seven-year-old. As he continued to walk he heard hurried shuffling behind him. When he turned around to try catching them off guard, the rock quickly sunk back down, unmoving behind him. Naruto got ticked at watching this performance, He quickly sped up the pace. Only to hear the follower shed the rock suit to jump between objects in the alleyway. He walked faster to hear the pursuer getting more and more careless between their jumping. It was the jump where they had flown right behind Naruto that they were abruptly grabbed and yanked in front of Naruto, that they tumbled down onto the concrete in front of him.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT BRAT!"

"AHA! My intuition doesn't lie, you really are strong! Strong enough to rival my own powers! I demand you teach me!"

"Kid, not everything you want is gonna come your way like the spoiled brat you are."

|Brat, you're missing out on a good opportunity to mess with that stupid teacher of his, if you can actually teach him something impressive he didn't know about that guy's credibility would be ruined!| Said the Kyuubi, holding in laughter at the thought.

"C'mon, just for today, pleeeeaaasseee!" Konohamaru whined.

"Ok, you know what, you got lucky, but unless you give this a hundred-and-ten percent effort then I'll immediately cut you off from the training and go home."

"Alright! You got it, boss!"

|Kyuubi, I never should have agreed with you.|

The two went over to the field Naruto trained at currently, and Konohamaru took a look at all the damage around it. He was amazed, to say the least, deep gashes in the ground along with halfway broken trees, and deep cuts in the wooden posts that stood there. Naruto started the session off.

"Ok kid, do you know about the tree walking exercise?" Naruto asked.

"I've heard of tree climbing.." the kid said.

"Alright, so the answers no then." Said the blonde, exasperated. "Listen, just channel chakra to the soles of your feet until you start to stick to the side of the tree, then continue to walk up the side of the tree, make sure you release the foot that you want to lift up. If you don't you'll just stick to the side and won't be able to move, now run up the side of the tree." Naruto ordered.

"Huh, alright. That'll be no sweat!" Konohamaru said. He then went running up the side of tree, Falling down and Immediately following off without even a bit of traction to it.

"Did you even channel chakra?! Put more through your feet, more then you've probably used before! Now try it again!" Naruto shouted in exasperation.

"Alright, I get it! Jeez…" The short child grumbled.

Konohamaru put more chakra into it, running up the tree, as he was able to stick to the tree for a while until one of his feet slipped and he nearly fell off, he kept his balance, however, as he slowly started to walk back up the tree.

"Alright! Don't fall down now! Keep going up!"

He continued to go up the tree for a bit longer until he finally lost his balance and fell back, hitting the ground hard. Naruto only pinched his nose in response.

They continued this process for a couple of hours, Konohamaru had finally gotten the tree walking exercise done, and continued doing it repeatedly to increase his reserves. They had taken a break and we're sitting on a log, and were having a drink from a near vending machine. "Hey boss, why are you becoming a shinobi?"

"Hmm?" Naruto mumbled. "Uhh… I mean I want to be strong enough to be Hokage, and I need to get recognized by the village to become Hokage, so getting strong is a necessity for me."

Konohamaru let that sink in for a few moments, pondering on the ideal.

"Besides, I want to fight strong people. And there's only one way to achieve that!" The blonde shouted in excitement, standing up in the process. However, his energy-full exclamation was quickly cut short once he felt someones eyes on him.

|Ehhh, chill out, its just the dunce teacher.|

|So, you show up now? Can you even hold a conversation?|

|Hey! When I care and want to, I can do whatever the hell I want!|

|It doesn't matter, but can you tell where he is?|

|You owe me brat. To your left. Ten feet up, branch on the right side.|

Naruto pretended to stretch, taking a quick glance in that direction. Naruto quickly deadpanned, he wasn't even hiding! He quickly shook his exasperation and acknowledged the blue wearing teacher.

"So what do you want?" Asked Naruto, nonchalantly.

Ebisu's eyes widened. He knew he wasn't exactly in the underbrush, but Naruto was nowhere near skilled enough to calculate his exact position. Unless…. It was Kyuubi! He turned his nose down at him and jumped down.

"Konohamaru shouldn't be out with you, he is the Honorable grandson, and shouldn't be associated with the likes of you! Honorable grandson, we're leaving, let's go." The hateful shinobi demanded.

"NO! NARUTO IS TEN TIMES STRONGER THAN YOU'LLl EVER BE! HE'S MY SENSEI!" Konohamaru screamed out.

Naruto had to suppress a laugh at this, he wasn't going to fight Ebisu, he'd love to, however he'd file a complaint or report that labeled Naruto as a traitor, so he simply had to talk it out this time. Albeit him probably being stronger than the low-level chuunin.

"Ok listen, if you're such a strong teacher, one that teaches Hokage candidates, why are you barely a chunin?"

"Rank doesn't matter. I'm a much better fit for his teacher, unlike you, who's just a lowly brat, I have the experience required to mold him into the perfect Hokage!"

"Well maybe take a look at this, Konohamaru, up the tree."

Ebisu was stunned to say the least, Konohamaru had learned the tree-walking exercise! While the young child had a very difficult time walking up, taking his time slowly to make sure each foot stuck to the tree before continuing to slowly walk up, with obvious delicacy.

"Hmph, during his age, the fundamentals are what he should be learning." Remarked the flustered and slightly red teacher.

"That's what the academy is for, stupid, just have one of the teachers give him some lessons beforehand if its so important, otherwise, he starts soon."

Ebisu had finally run out of remarks, not because of the debate between the blonde, but the sudden pain shooting through his lower *Ahem-* "areas."

"GAH!" Ebisu screamed in pain. Konohamaru had somehow slipped behind his teacher and had decided that using an upward kick in between his legs was a viable combat option.

All was quiet, except for the small gurgle from the broken man laying on the floor, and Naruto's mind. That was very loud.

|HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!| "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!"

Absurd was and upraourisoily laughing was all that flooded Naruto's mind after this wildly unexpected ending occurred. The young student simply stared while the blonde rolled in laughter on the floor. Simply waiting for it to end, he swore even the old man could hear it from here.

"Alright, Konohamaru, I think we're done training for today." Said the blonde, chuckling at the lackluster chunin as he slowly rised, grabbing his sides in slight pain.

Konohamaru looked up at Naruto, curious as to what he should start doing.

"Hey Naruto?"

"Yeah?" the blonde questioned, he notied the serious demeanor, and soon shifted his attitude. "What's the problem?"

"I'm gonna become Hokage before you!"

Naruto raised an eyebrow at the display.

"Kid, if you want to become Hokage so badly, you better train your ass off, I'm a shinobi starting tomorrow, so good luck!" Naruto turned around and started walking back to the forest, unbeknownst to Konohamaru.

"JUST WATCH IT! I'LL CATCH UP IN NO TIME! DON'T DOUBT ME!"

By that point Naruto had left and was on his way back.

\:/ I would like to apologize for the long delay, over the past time my Mental health was a sever problem, I should've left an update, but some issues with my family occurred so fast, and so many changes happened, I'm only just now getting the motivation to write again. Thank you for understanding.\:/
