Timon sighed anxiously as he stood in front of the entrance of the meerkat den, Ma and Uncle Max by his side.

"I can do this…" Timon exhaled. "I can do this…"

Ma put her paw gently on Timon's shoulder. "It's okay Timmy, we'll be there for you. Right Uncle Max?"

He just let out a small grumble in reply.

"Uncle Max…" Ma warned.

"All right, all right! I'll be there too." He gave Timon a small smile.

"All right….I'm ready." Timon marched into the den.

There stood the lead meerkat, long blonde fur flowing from her head.

"T…. Tatiana?" Timon asked in surprise.

"Timon!" She said in surprise. "You're back!"

"Well not really."

"What do you mean?"

"Listen, I need to talk to your dad." He said.

Tatiana looked away, crestfallen. "I'm afraid that's not possible….My father passed away while you were gone."

"Oh." Timon frowned. "I'm sorry…"

"It's all right." Tatiana said. She turned back to him. "What did you want to ask him?"

"Well uh...I uh….found an oasis and I..I thought it would be safer for the colony there."

Tatiana's eyes widened in curiosity. "Oh?"

"It's really really nice." Timon tried to sell her on it.

"Timon brought us there and it was so wonderful!" Ma gushed.

"I'd like to see this oasis." Tatiana said. "If you'd take me that is."

Timon felt a shiver run down his spine. His feelings he'd had for Tatiana were starting to surface again, making him flustered. "Of… of course!"

"Well then," Tatiana giggled softly. "Lets go."

The lionesses gathered in front of their king, waiting for his command.

Simba breathed nervously, looking at the pride. Nala gave him a small nuzzle in reassurance. Feeling confident, he addressed the lionesses. "We need a hunting team. Nala, can you take lead?"

"Of course." She smirked. "You've seen my skills." She teased.

Simba chuckled a bit. "Yeah, I still have the scratch marks…" He looked at the other lionesses. "Mom, are you able to hunt?" He was worried she'd been hurt more than she was letting on after getting slapped by Scar.

"Yes, Simba, I'm fine." She smiled and joined Nala by her side.

After the rest of the lionesses gathered they headed off to hunt, and Simba anxiously paced back and forth. I hope they'll be okay…. Maybe I should've gone with them? No! I can't hunt….what help would I be? But I'm their king….I should be there with them…...I-

A small rustling sound caught Simba's attention and he went to investigate. From behind a patch of grass emerged Timon, Ma, Uncle Max, and Tatiana.

When Tatiana made eye contact with Simba, she screamed and tried to run off.

Timon grabbed her arm. "Wait, it's okay! It's okay!"

"There's lions here!?" She panted out. "You wanted to move the colony to a….a….a carnivore carnival!?"

"No, no! This is Simba! He's our friend!" Timon said, trying to calm her. "We found him as a cub and took care of him. His Pride's just staying here until things get better in his kingdom."

Tatiana took deep breaths, managing to relax herself. "O...oh….I see…"

"It's uh nice to meet you…" Simba said, awkwardly.

"Nice to meet you too." She laughed, slightly embarrassed. "I'm Tatiana, the leader of your friend Timon's meerkat colony."

She put her paw out to him. Simba gently placed his paw against hers and they shook.

"Perhaps we can discuss diplomatic relations in the future."

"Right….diplomatic...relations…" Simba said. Whatever that is….

"Why don't I show you around?" Timon asked.

"I'd love that." Tatiana smiled, making Timon blush.

He lead her into the oasis to show her around, while Simba continued his frantic pacing.
