A/N: I don't own the songs included in throughout the story.

"I know there's not much to it, but that's my story." I concluded.

"Ye simply woke up in a field?" Kaede asked with a slight burrow of her weary brow.

"Yes."

"Do ye know how far ye are from home from this location?"

"A very, very long way away from home." I sighed.

"I know this is a dismal time for you," Miroku started "But would you consider bearing my child?"

If Sango was here, his head would have been busted open.

"No?" It sounded like a question, but I the real question was whether he is sane or not. Don't get me wrong, I expected this, but not at a moment like this. I definitely wasn't in the mood for a Miroku moment. I had actually prayed to never run into one.

"Are you sure?" He asked as he touched my butt.

"PERVERT!" I screamed as I slapped him, hard. Sango and Shippo then came in to see what had happened. Once they saw Miroku rubbing his face and the death glare I was giving him, they understood. Everyone was in the hut, and I introduced myself to everyone as Kazumi once things settled down.

"Who are you, exactly? You just woke up in a field, completely undefended, aimlessly walked through the woods, and ended up unscathed." InuYasha stated.

"Could I get a change of clothes?" I asked, not ignoring InuYasha, but looking as though I was.

The boys were shooed out, and I changed. They came back in, and InuYasha waited for my answer.

"I told you all I can, and want to tell you. Just like you have your doubts about me, I have my own about you. Don't flatter yourself by thinking that the feeling isn't mutual." I explained to him. "Now if you don't mind, I'm going to get some fresh air."

No arguments were made. They actually looked like they were waiting for me to leave. I left the hut, and walked to a hill. Some villagers looked at me, but they returned to their work soon after. They must be accustomed to strange new comers by now. I walked up the hill and sat in the sun, gazing at the farmers as they endured the hard labor of rice farming. It was mid-afternoon. The sun warmed me up rather quickly, reminding me of another song. Yes, I'm going to be singing this entire time that I'm here. It was one of the only things that kept my mind connected to my world, and, hopefully, it would keep me sane.

"Hit me like a ray of sun, even in the darkest nights. You're the only one I want; think I'm addicted to your light." I stopped.

"Yeah, I stopped at the right place this time." I said aloud as I let a grin make its way onto my face.

"Did you really come out here to sing?"

"Did you really come out here to question me about things that are irrelevant to you?" I asked InuYasha with a sassy tone.

"No, I came to tell you that supper is ready."

"So you're the one that got stuck with the duty of calling everyone to dinner. I always hated that job." I said, not caring if he listened to me or not. "I just had to leave for some air; it's only been what, ten minutes? This entire episode of mine has been nothing but a waste of time and energy."

"You talk a lot for a stranger."

I InuYasha back to Kaede's hut. InuYasha said I talked a lot, but sometimes it's nice to hear a truly familiar voice, one that you hear on a day-to-day basis. Yes, I was familiar with all the main characters' voices, but it only creeped me out, if anything. This was unscripted dialogue that included me. It scared me. What else would include me?

"Do you have any bad intentions toward us?" InuYasha said once things had gotten too quiet for him.

"Not at all, in fact, that is the exact opposite of what I want."

He stared at me, as though he was trying to see if I was lying. As he did so, we came close enough to the hut for the aroma of food to dance in my nose. I wasn't really sure how the food would taste, but I hoped it would taste as good as it smelled. We entered the hut just as the rest of the group sat down. We followed their example, and each received a bowl. I examined its contents before eating. I saw fish and pork and mentally cringed. I hate fish and pork. I went around the meat and fish, and ate everything else. InuYasha noticed my avoiding of the items, and stared at the food on my plate. I looked between him and everyone else before sneaked the fish and pork onto his plate.

"Why do ye avoid the fish and pork?" Kaede asked me.

All eyes were on me. I guess I wasn't as sneaky as I had thought.

"I feel sick after eating pork most times, and fish and I don't have a good relationship."

"Would ye care to explain?"

"… When I was younger, I was eating some fish when some bones got stuck in my throat. When drinking water didn't help, my mom had to get me to cough them up before getting them out with her hands."

I saw Kagome, Sango, and Miroku wince, and I appreciated that. InuYasha was too busy scarfing down the fish I had given him.

"It don't matter, I'm fine with it." InuYasha said.

"How do ye stay healthy, child?"

"I don't even know if I'm healthy. I've managed to be okay then, so I assume I can do it now." I told her.

Night had come quickly after dinner, and most were asleep. I laid in bed as the seriousness of the situation sunk in. How the heck was this even possible? InuYasha is an anime, and, therefore, isn't real, yet I had just had dinner with them and are now I'm sleeping in Kaede's hut. I could always look at this as though it was a dream, but everything seemed too real to be a dream. I remember waking up. I slept on the thought, hoping that I would come up with something while I rested. I'd need energy to keep myself going. I couldn't afford to be tired. Knowing my luck, I would have more than enough encounters with death here. I want to be as unhindered as possible. Any sign of weakness here would get me killed quickly.
