Bodyguard- part 2

A guest asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch2203 "Bodyguard" where Emma starts to fall for Killian and Charming picks up on it and doesn't like it.

"Princess, sorry to interrupt your lunch, but you asked me to remind you to take your mid-morning stroll in the garden." Killian said coming into the dining room. Charming nearly laughed. He was about to tell Killian he was a braver man than he for attempting to come between Emma and unfinished food, when Emma got up without a fuss.

"Thank you, Killian." Emma said, smiling over at him. "I do love it when the sun is shining. I hope you don't mind?" Killian bowed slightly.

"Not at all, Your Highness." He said, following after her. Charming watched after the pair of them, dumbstruck.

"What?" Snow asked him.

"We're in trouble." He said simply.

"What do you mean?" Snow asked, confused. Charming couldn't believe she didn't see it!

"Emma asked Killian to basically interrupt her having lunch. Emma let someone stop her from finishing a meal. Emma would normally chew their head off for such an outrageous offence." Charming stopped, hoping Snow would catch on. When it was clear she wasn't, Charming sighed. He was going to have to come out with it. "I think Emma is developing a crush on her bodyguard." He explained.

"Oh, that." Snow replied. "Have you just worked that out from that?" Charming's eyes widened.

"Wait, you know?!" He questioned. Snow nodded. Wasn't it obvious from near enough the start there was chemistry between the two? "Well, shouldn't we be doing something about this? Like changing her guard?" Snow smiled, taking his hand.

"Charming, let it be. If the pair decide to get together romantically, at least you know it's somebody respectable." She pointed out. Charming's eyes narrowed.

"He's cleverly worked it out so he's alone with our daughter for most of the day. If that's respectable behaviour then I am very concerned." Snow rolled her eyes.

"He hasn't so much as looked at her the wrong way. He doesn't think she likes him back. Honestly, why can't you men read women?! If Emma is ever bold enough to make the first move, he will ensure things are done properly. I, for one, trust him. Leave them, Charming. If you change her guard you'll only make her mad at you and encourage her to go off by herself again in search of him. Which is exactly what the Evil Queen wants. Just, be calm about this." Charming sighed, slumping his head against his hand which rested on the table. He felt caught between a rock and a hard place. He would leave Killian stationed as Emma's bodyguard, for now. But he would be keeping a closer eye on the pair.
