Chapter 12- Silver
"You did what?!" asked Warren. The Professor had sent a mind message to all adults who knew Katniss in the school. "She ran off before I could explain, what was that?" asked the Professor. There was a loud POP noise. "She teleported." Said Jean. "Oh my God, she is going back to him!" cried Warren. "Well, we can't stop her, nobody can." Said Logan. "I might know someone." Said the Professor.
Katniss had teleported to three streets away from the Whitehouse. She had only taken a small bag filled some food that she had taken from the kitchen. She started walking towards the Whitehouse. There was crowds of people outside the Whitehouse. There were cameras flashing at her father who was making yet another speech. "And so they have still not given her up. I will give them one more day!" he then turned and walked back to the Whitehouse. Katniss teleported to where her father's office was and sat down in the chair. Her father then came in with a press of people. "Hey." She said.
"I do believe some of us know him. He is extremely fast." Said the Professor. "Oh no, not Peter Maximoff." Said Magneto. "I am thinking of him." Said the Professor. "Come Eric, we are going to visit an old friend."
"Katniss! The mutants! You are here? In this room! Are you Mystique? Quick, what is your mothers full name?" he asked. "Marie Honey Sabrina Kelly Howardson." Replied Katniss. "OH KATNISS!" He said and hugged her. "I am still not a hugger." She said. "We need to inform the public immediately. The mutants came to their senses!" Her father said. "About that!" cut across Katniss. She thought about a plan where the mutants came out innocent. "Mutants didn't kidnap me. You see, some guests did. They wanted a ransom but I managed to get away from them!" she said. "Why, who?" her father asked. "I don't know, they never showed their faces!" she said. "Well, I shall have a conference tomorrow, and you shall come too!" he said to Katniss.
They knocked on a red door at a small house sandwiched in between ten other houses. A man with silver hair opened it. "Peter Maximoff!" said Erik weakly. "Professor! How great it is to see you! Erik! What a nice surprise." Said Peter. "Yes, we need your help." Said the Professor. "Happy too, I just am not as fast as I was. I do believe this is about the Presidents daughter?" The Professor nodded. "Is she really like what the President made out?" he asked. "No, definitely not." Said Erik. "OK, I'm in." replied Peter.
