Stupid stepmom- part 3

SillySuperMan asked for a oneshot of a 3rd instalment carrying on from Ch1404 "Stupid stepmom- part 2" where we see the aftermath of Snowing deciding to give their relationship another try.

This was a weird one for me to write. As a while back LyssLovesSnowing33 asked me if she could take the concept and turn it into a multi-chapter fic. She's still working up to the stage the part 2 was at, so I hope she doesn't mind me writing this. Go check out the story, I might count as biased, but I think it's great!

It hadn't been an easy decision to make. There were just so many what ifs about it all. So many gossips in such a small town. Mary Margaret had gone from being the single mom divorcee that everyone felt sorry for to an apparent homewrecker. How could she be a homewrecker for taking back her own ex-husband?! He was the father of her child! Then, there was the child to think about. Emma had been through so much with the divorce. Then she had to cope with her daddy getting re-married, which was especially difficult because she didn't particularly like Kathryn. She was beyond relieved that her daddy and Kathryn weren't together any more, and she appeared to be happy that her parents were back together, but she was also scared. Every time one was gone for more than a few hours, she wanted to call them. Every time there were raised voices, she cried like there was no tomorrow. She was clearly nervous about getting her hopes up that this would work out. But at the same time, she didn't like that things were still different.

"Why doesn't daddy live here now?" Emma asked. She just didn't understand. If her mommy and daddy were back together again, why weren't they living together.

"We're just taking things slowly Em." Mary Margaret explained. "We don't want to rush into anything and make mistakes. Emma pouted.

"I don't like it when he's not here." She told her mom. Snow kissed Emma's head.

"I know you don't baby girl. But trust me, it's better this way. We don't want you to get upset. Like mommy and daddy told you, we don't know if this will work. We don't want to go back to fighting in front of you. Whatever happens, I need you to remember that…"

"Mommy and daddy both still love me." Emma sighed. She'd been told that a thousand times by both parents. Them loving her wasn't ever what Emma was worried about, it was remembering that they loved each other they seemed to be struggling with.
