Another day in Beach City, the air fresh, the water warm...or so it seem to be, at least in your mind. From what you could remember, when was the last time you ran along the small waves of the beach? Anyway, the skies blue like the ocean. People smiling and going on about their day, humans such...interesting ones they were. Seagulls, white birds flew through the ocean in the sky, small white clouds floated in to give a real beach living. The pier was opening or had been for the last hour or so. Shops and grills firing up to start the day.

Different mixes of aroma filled the salt water air, it was still delicious. The rise and smell of the sweet donuts made anyone drool. Their glossy glaze, so prime and waxy was amazing. It was nearly hard to eat juts one, it was hard to resist, but you did. At least with half the boxes Sadie brought you, the filling ones sucked out and dry. The twists untwisted and torn. Half of them somewhat eaten. Every so often you would peer out the window of her room, watching the day go by. She wasn't home not, no. Off to work, as she always did every morning of every day. Coming back every night of the day. Bringing with her a box of donuts, for your consumption and news of Steven. Coming in the shop asking again about his missing Aunt.

Each time she told you, a knot gripped and tighten in your stomach. You could just imagine his long face, his breaking voice and hurting eyes. Tired from searching. He'd put up more flyers of you, Sadie joking that he'd gotten better. Showing you one, which you couldn't really see much of the difference, though it did seem to be a much better of drawing of you. You also noticed the dry wet mark of his tears that showered on it.

Taking a long deep sigh, stare at the flyer in your hand. Your name written in a dark silver, he managed to get your outfit right this time, and hair. His number was down below, to call should someone spot you. Meaning you couldn't really go out without someone spotting you. Remaining cooped up in Sadie's room.

Just like a prisoner.

A prisoner, this time you made yourself one. You hated that feeling, shutting your eyes...your wrist bond and chained. Feet too. Shackled. A weight pressed on you inside, a dark one. Opening your eyes back in Sadie's room, blink once seeing light and a hand extended to you, with a kind smile. And voice so kind and gentle. Speaking your name. Their hand, was so soft..kind. Warm, melted away everything...all the darkness. They pulled you out, breaking you into the light.

Opening your eyes, find yourself outside in front of Sadie's home. The sun beaming down on you, melted away everything. Odd, for someone like you to enjoy such a feeling. Right?

Too bad it couldn't do more. Taking a deep breath, the fresh air, the start of a new day filled you. And Steven.

Steven, you whimper. Looking down find yourself still holding the flyer. You wanted to see him again, you truly did but...what of the others. What of what happened? Their welcoming wasn't, but then was to be expected.

After so long.

A sharp pain shot through your chest, clenching a hand over that area. It hurt more thinking of Steven. Thinking of Rose. Both of them, hard to believe...that was...he was...his smile was just like her's. His eyes too and his optimistic nature. Just like Rose. And like Rose, there was this emptiness in you. Only seem to fill when Steven came to your mind.

That was it, you made your decision. It was the only way you could do this, if not with him at his house then...then there was only one other way. Turning heel run back inside, back to Sadie's room, in just a few moments you come back out and race down the street.

"I would like a place of employment!"

Sadie was shocked from what came out your mouth, Lars spit up his drink all over the counter. "...Excuse me?" Sadie said with a questionable look. Sliding it over to Lars, who was wiping his mouth.

You repeat yourself. "I would like a place of employment, please." Clearing your throat. Bowing lightly to them both, to their confusion and shock. She was about to say something, you speak before she did. Trying hard to hide your voice from cracking. "Please, this is the only way in which I can make contact with my cousin. He comes here and greatly enjoys it, so...please!" Lift your head, tears in the corner begging them.

It was beautiful. Like a pristine scene, the natural lighting behind you made it even more alluring. Both Sadie and Lars couldn't stop the faint blush deepening on their cheeks. Clearing her throat Sadie refocuses herself. "Well, umm, I'm glad you want a job, but..." her words stop, her eyes look to Lars.

Who was still trying to bring himself back. Sensing their, mainly Sadie's hesitance, your eyes fall understanding. Sadly. Your hand hangs low. "Oh, well, thank you. I shall find another place to go."

Before you could even turn all the way and walk out, a hand shoots out grabbing you by the arm pulling you back. You toppled back hitting the counter. "Wait!" Lars shouts.

Startling you and Sadie. "Lars!" Sadie exclaims confused.

His grip on you was tight, he pushes through his flustered face. "You can totally work here!" A surprise to you and Sadie. "In fact you can start now, by taking my shift."

You smile in joy, while Sadie frowned seeing straight through his words. Clasping your hands, squeal. "Oh, thank you very much!" Throw yourself on him hugging him. Not realizing you were crushing him a bit.

"Snow!" Sadie nearly panics prying you off him, as Lars chokes. Sensing his fading, let him go.

He drops. "Oh, forgive me." You apologize squatting down to him. Dusting him off.

"N-No problem." He groans. "My neck."

A door opens, you stand with Sadie and Lars peer in the room full of boxes, a mop, and other things. "This is the storage room, kind of." Sadie said going over to a box, taking down a medium size one. Opening. "We have some extra uniforms in here, well by uniforms I mean shirts." She pulls out a long purple shirt with letter resembling a D like a donut in the center. "Here, this is kind of large, sorry."

She holds out to you, your eyes gleamed at such a clothing. You couldn't stop smiling, your pearly whites. The heat came back to Sadie's cheeks and Lars. Who turned his head and huffed.

"I am so out of here!" he stomps off.

Sadie shakes away the tinge. "Don't mind him." She tells you with an eyeroll. "He can be rather, moody." She puts lightly.

"So it seems. Thank you." You said hugging your shirt dearly. It had such a lovely scent. Steven.

"So, do you want to change or something?" Sadie cuts through your thoughts. You look at her. "Come on, the bathroom is this way." She walks out, you follow, finding it rather hard to contain your squeal. "Here." She stops infront of the door. "Go and change, I'll be up front. K?"

You nod, she leaves you to do your thing. Opening the door you go in. Thinking of an idea with the shirt.

Glad he left, Lars needed to get out of the Big Donut, it was getting too stuffy in there. Groaning and huffing about the idea of having someone extra there, especially Steven's aunt, meant one thing.

Steven would come by more often. "Great." He grumbles, when he realizes it. "Wait, if he comes by, and she wants to work, I can totally slack off! Alright!" He cheers with a huge grin. "This might work after all." He snickers.

"What might work?" Steven comes up behind him. Startling Lars.

"Ah! Steven! D-Don't do that!"

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, you were talking to yourself. So what will work?" Steven yawns rubbing his baggy eyes.

He looked bad, Lars nearly felt sorry if not disgusted by his appearance. "Whoa. You look...dude..."

"Yeah, I know. I've just well..Snow's been on my mind and I'm sure worried. That's all. I just want to know if she's okay, so.." Steven holds up a flyer, a better one than last week. "If you see her, can you give, you know hang this up."

Taking it, Lars sighs, grumbling. Shoves it back. "Why don't you go hang it up yourself, come on. I'm not your messenger boy or something." He walks off, Steven wasn't sure why, follows.

They reach the Big Donut, Lars opens the door. "Well? Go put it up!" He snaps at Steven.

Dragging his feet Steven walks in. "Hi Sadie. Hi Snow." He goes over to the window and puts the flyer, stopping midway whips his head around. Gasping. "Snow!?" He cries running to you.

"Steven!" You jump over the counter and run to him. The two of you embrace the other, tightly. Crying. He more so than you. You felt his hot tears fall on your skin. Sooth him with your touch. "Nephew. Nephew." Cling to him more.

Lars goes over to Sadie. "Isn't it sweet?" She said at the tender moment.

"I...guess.." He said in a gruff tone. Rolling his eyes. Noticing something different, about you.

It wasn't the uniform, well it was the uniform, it was altered. Unlike his's and Sadie's which was just a simple purple shirt, you had managed some how turn into sort of dress. It was long enough to be one, you had used another shirt ripped, turned into a sash around your waist, giving the illusion of a sort of mini dress. Reaching to your thighs. Not what he was expecting, scratching his cheek looking away grumbling. Covering his cheek.

Sadie kept smiling at the you and Steven reunion. Looking from him to you, your smile so white and pure. Feel her cheeks rise in temperature.

gasp

finding it rather busy. "Whoa! Are you guys having a sell or something?" Steven asked eyeing the amount of people there.

"What?" Lars confused. "What in the world?"
