Whoosh… the plane lands and Master Corporal Sam Braddock got off the plane and went to the car that was waiting for him. Keep reading and you will understand why he was on a plane to Canada.

It was late December and Sam was over in Afghanistan with his dad, Mark who was also a General and his brothers Matt, Ben, and Spike. Sam was a sniper taking shots from two kilometers away, in an exchange of friendly fire. When the recce was done clearing the area Sam was cleared to fire. Sam, his dad, and his brother Spike went down to ID the bodies and two of them were Matt and Ben. Sam's dad thought that he could use some time off which brings us back to why Sam was in Canada.

After he landed he went to the Strategic Response Unit (SRU) and took his new assignment as a Team One Officer. When the team learned that there was a new officer assigned to the team they were upset because they never picked a new team member. When they found out he was a Master Corporal in the U.S. Army Special Forces, they welcomed him with open arms. They also found out that his dad is a General in the U.S. Army, they really started to think that Sam would be an okay officer.

Two days after they welcomed Sam onto the team, they got a HOT CALL to help in a shooting. They called off a list of things they needed to respond to a call like this.

Team One arrived on the scene and Sam found a van that looked a little strange. When he went inside he found a doctor named Jason who was trying to help a little kid who had been shot. Sam learned first aid in the military so he entered the van to help. The hostage taker named Darren came back and seen Sam in the van and he told Sam to get out, but Sam wouldn't go. Darren told Sam to put his guns in the bag otherwise he would start shooting. Sam hesitated for a moment but then put his guns in the black leather bag. Darren took off with Sam now as his second hostage.

When Darren arrived at a warehouse Sam carried the kid named Dustin into the warehouse. Darren told Sam to take off his vest and handcuff himself to the table. Sam took off both of his vests and did as he was told. Jason needed help so Sam helped the best he could under the circumstances he was in. Darren thanked Sam for all the help that he has been giving but also said that "if you do anything to get in between me and my son then I will shoot you." With that Darren went outside to get some air.

Darren came back in and asked Jason if his son was going to be okay and Jason just nodded his head. Darren was mad that his son was in no condition to travel so he took out his rage by punching Sam. After Sam caught his breath after being punched he told Darren that everything was going to be okay. Darren went to his son and started crying. Darren had Jason handcuff himself to the table also because he didn't want to take any chances.

Darren went out to get some air but then he saw that there was a sniper positioned on him so he ran back inside and heard Sam say "If you're in trouble let me know, I can help you." Darren thought about what Sam had said for a couple seconds then decided against telling Sam anything. Darren went back outside to take a look around and then the next thing he knew there was a bullet in his leg. Sam heard the shot from inside and tried to get out of the cuffs but it was no use. The shooters broke in and smiled when they saw a cop and another hostage and then they started shooting. Darren un-cuffed Sam and Jason and told them to run but Sam wouldn't so Jason grabbed Dustin and took him to safety.

The bullets ricocheted from the metal. Sam and Darren were shooting and when Sam told Darren to run he wouldn't so they were both just shooting at the shooters trying to cover each other.

The shooters kept adding more ammo but Sam was down to his last clip so he and Darren used it to get out of there, they went out the back and instead of running Jason and Dustin were right outside the door. Sam was still a hostage so Darren took Sam's cuffs and handcuffed Sam, gagged him, and blindfolded him.

Sam was shoved in the back of the van and was quiet to make sure that there were no beeping devices. Darren stopped the van and took Sam out of the back of the van and took off his cuffs, blindfold, and gag, then put him in the driver's seat. They came to a military security checkpoint and Darren told Sam to use his military ID to get through the gate which surprised Sam because he never mentioned that he was in the military. When the guards seen that Sam was a Master Corporal they saluted him and waved him right through the gate.
