No.
Not again.
Not this, it can't happen...Rose, where was Rose? Where was she? Why wasn't she here? You were in pain, you couldn't move, why couldn't you move?
Where you strapped down again? You where! Strapped down, again on some...table. Surrounded by these dark imposing figures standing over you. There was no way you could make out their faces, with this blinding light obstructing your vision.
Where was Rose!
Where was she? Where was she!?
"Rose!" You gasp softly snapping awake from your slumber, in the late night.
Everything was quiet and still, Sadie was still sleeping, good you hadn't waken her. Sitting up slowly rise and stand with a little bit of from a small breeze land lightly like a feather on the floor.
You couldn't sleep despite how calm and relaxed the evening was, your mind was unsettled at the moment. It always was when you had those...moments.
Strapped down, in pain, those towering figures standing over you and no Rose. Normally she would have appeared in those moments and sense of relief sweep over you, but for the longest time now she never appeared in these moments anymore.
With her gone it was expected, still it didn't stop the aching feeling burning inside, that seem to constantly throb. When that happened too, Rose would know how to make it stop.
She always knew.
Standing quietly and still, you look around, strange despite Sadie's presence it felt lonely.
So what did you do?
Leave, quietly.
Where did you go off to, The Beach house, where Steven was. You didn't go in, goodness no, even though you wanted to. The welcome you'd get wouldn't be pleasant to say the least. Which was quite understandable, still, you'd rather not face it but you'd have to eventually.
Interacting with The Gems again was part of it, you just had to figure out how and what to say.
You weren't sure, but, your eyes move to Steven's room, there was no doubt he would know what to say.
"He has Rose's charm," you said flatly stand up, "when the time is right. Just not now."
Giving one last look solemnly at his room and the house, leave.
As you made your way back to Sadie's, another was awake in his room.
Lars.
He sat awake in his bed looking at the small bead from earlier. He wasn't sure he just woke up to look at it, something just compelled him to do it.
"I wonder how much this would go for?" He thought thinking about it.
It was nice and beautiful, looked expensive too. He wasn't sure if it was a pearl or not, but it was clearly some sort of gem or jewel.
"I wonder why she dropped it?" He said, thinking for a moment about you.
Right away his cheeks heated up, the usual response with you...most of the time. It rather irritating.
Taking a few deep breathes to cool off he focuses back to his actual thought. Which was you, though for a different reason. The soft, not silent whimpering sound you made like you where crying, he wasn't sure if you did but he had sort of a feeling.
Or maybe it was just his imagination, not that he cared.
Still looking at the bead, there was something about it that just felt...he wasn't sure what it was nor could he describe it. It was this strange feeling he felt from it that oddly soothing and sad. Having enough he wrapped it back up in a small piece of cloth, tucked it away well in the room and went back to sleep.
"Hello! Welcome to the Big Doughnut!" You happily say with a huge smile.
Sadie looks at you questionable to, Lars too.
"Snow, there's no one." She said, looking back at the empty store.
She was right, there was no one it was just a reaction you had.
"Yes, I know," you sigh with slightly slumped shoulders. "I do wish someone would come. It feels lonely."
Lars rolled his eyes. "You have us, you know?"
You look at."I know, I just would lik-"
The phone rang suddenly, Sadie went to answer it.
"Hi Big Doughnut, this is Sadie speaking. Oh," she was surprised, looked back at you. "Yes, hold on." Putting the phone called you over. "Snow you have a call."
A call?
You wondered who it could be, like rabbit you hop over quickly, with a jelly filled in your hand take phone.
"Hello! Snow speaking!"
Sadie left you to the call and went back counter next to Lars. The two of them watch you, Sadie couldn't help but smile a bit proud.
"She's getting the phone now," she said nudging Lars a bit with a small chuckle.
He shrugged. "That's one of the million things she hasn't. Good for her, want to throw her a party?"
Sadie frowned at his remark. "Lars, you don't have to be mean about it, Snow is learning alright? We should be happy with the smallest things she's gotten down. She managed to make doughnuts without freezing them this time and not eating, well, most of them."
"That's two things, sorry three things she's done right. She doesn't know how to clean right. Not to mention that constant humming she does, which is annoying." He let out a hard groan, "She still has trouble taking the trash which is easy, if you ask me she hasn't learn much. Why did we hire her?"
A look of disbelief fell on Sadie's face, "Seriously? You're the one who said she could come work with us."
"A mistake obviously," he defends himself.
Sadie wasn't having this. "You know Lars, you should more faith in Snow, I think she's doing a good job. As good as she can, you never know when you might need her for something."
He scoffed, snicker. "Yeah, I'm sure."
"Lars!" You nearly shout, startling him.
"Ah! What?!"
You rush over, get in his personal space grab his hands in yours. Not noticing Sadie's shocked expression or Lars burning one.
"Come with me!" You tell him laughing with a huge smile.
Confusion pinched on his face. "Wh-What? Why?"
"That's a good question, why?"Sadie tried to ask.
You didn't hear, only focused on Lars. Squeeze his hands. There was no time for questions, without a second thought pull him with you, jump over the counter, yell bye to Sadie and run out the store.
