One way to get out a meeting- part 2

FanOfMost asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch1457 "One way to get out a meeting" where Emma is actually sick by the time the next meeting comes around. Snowing don't believe her at first.

Emma felt simply awful. She felt like there were a herd of elephants stampeding through her skull. Even the idea of food made her want to throw up. She wasn't sure she was going to be able to stand up for more than a couple of seconds. Hearing someone come charging up the stairs only made things worse.

"Come on Emma. You know there's a meeting today." Snow said matter-of-factly.

"I really don't think me going is a good idea. Unless you want puke all over the table." Emma said. Snow frowned.

"Oh no. Don't try and pull that one again missy. I don't button up the back. Get dressed. You are going to this meeting." Snow warned her, slamming the door behind her. Emma winced at the sound. Cautiously, she got out of her bed. It felt like the floor was slanting. She supposed it was her fault for crying wolf, but it still sucked her mom didn't believe her when she really was unwell. Emma had to use the furniture to support her in staying upright. It took her double the amount of time it normally did, but eventually, she was dressed. She then stumbled her way out of the room and down the stairs. Her parents were waiting, Neal in his carseat. Snow was tapping her foot impatiently.

"You're going to have to do better than that Emma." Snow sighed. When she got a better look at Emma she frowned. "You might as well wipe that muck off your face. Nobody believes you're going green."

"There's nothing on my face." Emma muttered. "I'm sick." She repeated. Snow rolled her eyes. They were going to be late. She stomped into the bathroom. She came out a few minutes later with a damp facecloth. She rubbed it against Emma's cheeks.

"Hey!" Emma cried out. Snow pulled back and frowned. The green colour wasn't fading at all. Snow tried to rub the stuff on her other cheek off with her thumb and found Emma's skin to be hot to the touch. Snow gasped.

"You really are sick." She said.

"Told ya." Emma grumbled. Snow felt awful. She turned to Charming.

"Can you handle this one on your own?" She asked. Charming nodded, kissing Snow's head.

"I'll take Neal too. Best he avoids the germs." He pointed out. Charming reached over and kissed Emma's forehead. He frowned at how hot she was.

"Get well soon honey." He said, leaving the girls to it.

Snow helped Emma back to her bed.

"I am so sorry I didn't believe you." Snow said sincerely. "Although, in my defence, I believed you last time and you did kind of let yourself down." Emma nodded, she understood. "Ok, I'll get you some water and a nice cool cloth to bring this very real temperature down. Anything else baby?" Emma shook her head.

"No, just sleep." She mumbled. Snow nodded, she understood.

By the time Snow came up with Emma's water and cold cloth, she was already spark out. Snow carefully placed the cloth on her head and kissed it. She stationed herself in the hall just outside Emma's room. She wanted to give her space, but didn't want to be too far away. Just in case.
