Adult timeout
Bobby boy asked for a oneshot of a chapter starting with "Emma Ruth Swan, don't you dare!"
For what it's worth, these are my favourite kind of requests!
"Emma Ruth Swan, don't you dare!" Snow shouted. Emma reluctantly pulled her hand back out of the cookie jar. She turned and gave her mom a charming little smile. "Oh no, don't you try that look. Your father has been giving me that same smile since before you were born. It doesn't work when he's in trouble, and it's not going to work when you are. I told you specifically that Neal was not to have a cookie before dinner." Emma changed tactics and gave her mom the sad eyes.
"But he asked me so nicely. I don't often get to have proper sibling moments with Neal. I thought sneaking my baby brother a cookie might be one of the few we could have?" Snow frowned at her daughter.
"Blackmail won't work either. That's just playing dirty. Just because Neal has you wrapped around his little finger doesn't mean it'll work on me. Don't think just because you don't live here anymore Emma I can't tell you off in the same way I tell off Neal. He's going to time out for fooling you into doing such a stupid thing. You're going to sit at the table and help me untangle the fairy lights I want to put out in the yard." Snow instructed. Emma's eyes narrowed.
"That's just a fancy way of saying you're putting me in timeout." Emma said quietly. Snow turned and walked to the doorway.
"Really? I hadn't noticed. Kitchen. Table. Lights. Now." Snow instructed. Emma sighed. There was no putting this off. "Maybe next time you'll think before falling for your charming little brother's antics!" Snow called as Emma sat down at the table and pulled the lights over to her. She smirked, and raised her hand above them. "Oh, and don't even think about using your magic to untangle them! That would not be wise!" Snow called from where she was setting up the timeout counter. Emma lowered her hand and then facepalmed herself. Trust her mother to make her do it the hard way!
