The blonde woman opened her eyes wide open as soon as she felt the sun rays that entered the room from the open window across her bed teasing her eyes and making sleep something impossible. She shifted on her bed and rolled to her side trying to find Killian's hand to hold and kiss. Nothing... she sat upright on her ass to realize that she was alone in her bedroom.

Killian's working clothes were missing, so was his black envelop that he always carried around. Since he was the chief of all the agents in their town Boston he needed to carry evidence and proof all day long with him just in case. She couldn't even remember how many years she had been doing this job but at least it wasn't something all new and scary when she arrived at Boston.

She had lived in a huge town before, since she was not part of the enchanted forest or storybrooke right away, so it was pretty easy for her to adjust into her new environment and move on. The whole moving on thingy was the toughest part. Leaving her parents behind for once again pained her the most. She lost them once and now she lost them twice.

Deep inside her she was pretty sure that they were gonna find each other again like they always did, but she didn't want to get her hopes up. She preferred to live in misery and think that her parents were just vanished. It was more painful but more relaxing to her soul... she didn't have something to wait for. That way no one could crush her dreams and hopes again...

Anyway, her work history as a sheriff back in storybrooke made it easier for her to get used to her new job, and earn a high place in her job section as well. Killian from the other side chose the easy way for once again. He was the perfect man for the chief role. He was once a captain, he knew exactly how to give orders and he was loving it as well.

The minute he had walked into the interview he just winked at a couple of ladies with those lovely and magnetizing baby blue eyes and that was it. He then had to say a few words about how much he loved to be the leader of the pack, and how much he hated crime and injustice and the job was his.. he earned it with his unbelievable ability to lie without anyone noticing.

Being a former magic creature counted as a skill. He had seen things that an ordinary human brain would never understand or believe. If you think Killian Jones was irresistible in the magic realms you have no idea how women loved him in the ordinary world.

He never missed home. He never felt like storybrooke or the enchanted forest were home. He always thought that home was were emma was! And that might be true... he never missed a thing from their old way of living. He had lost so many things back then, plus he had caused so much pain and misery to people and himself that he didn't want to remember all these black days. He preferred to enjoy his life as a normal human being. Being a captain and most of all being Captain Hook could be exhausting sometimes.

So... Emma swan and Killian Jones seemed to be enjoying their current life style. The only one suffering was Henry.. Henry Mills. He had changed since their arrival in Boston. He was not the chatty little boy he once was. He had no dreams and hopes for a happy ending. He was quiet most of the time and elusive. Emma was having a pretty hard time to read him at first but then she knew.

It wasn't storybrooke that he was missing like crazy but it was Regina. His mum..

Unfortunately there was nothing emma could do in order to help him get better... as the years went by, Henry slowly accepted the fact that he was never gonna see his other mum again and that he had to adjust to his new life and move on like everyone else did. He couldn't stop thinking about her though.

He needed to know that she was at least okay. But there was no way to find out... five years later he's still struggling with his own thoughts but at least he's better. Her managed to socialize in school, meet a couple of people and feel like he finally belonged somewhere..

The blonde woman walked in the bathroom, brushed her teeth, had a brisk shower and then put on her tight blue jeans and red leather jacket like she always used to after all. She brushed her curly blonde hair and applied a little makeup on her face in order to cover her extremely pale skin.

As soon as she made sure that she was ready to go, she grabbed a cup of coffee and her own black envelope and rushed inside her lovely yellow bug. Believe it or not but that death trap (Like Regina loved to call it) was Emma's sidekick in crime. She had fought burglars and criminals with that old thing but it would never let her down.

She started the engine and ten minutes later she was parking outside of the police station. She walked inside greeting her coworkers and rushed over her office. She turned on the lights and sat down on the large wooden table that decorated the middle of the room, making it look a little more formal. She placed her purse on the desk, and turned on her computer to check on her mails. She looked around the room for any files that she had to deal with when she noticed a note stuck on the door.

She approached the front door to read the small and clumsy letters.

"Good morning love. As soon as you read this please come over my office. We need to talk about something important that I would love to talk to you about at home but I guess I'm way to coward to do that.."

She frowned curiously and grabbed her coffee. She then rushed to Killian's office and knocked on the door.

"Come in".

She heard his voice replying from the inside of the luminous room giving his permission to walk-in. She opened the door and walked inside looking at him with a huge question mark forming on her face.

"Are you okay love?"

He smiled as charmingly as he could and escorted emma to sit down on the black leather couch across his desk.

"Killian what's going on?"

She asked looking around in curiosity and annoyance.

"I just wanted to talk to you..."

He hesitated but finally admitted. He cleared his throat and kept avoiding any eye contact with his wife while he kept staring at his computer pretending he was scrolling down a few emails.

"You're scaring me! What happened?"

She asked and rose her voice a little. She stood next to Killian, kneeled down and held his hands in her own. Whatever was happening was obviously hurting Killian as well. She wasn't the only one afraid.

Killian decided to look at her and place a kiss on her lips.

"I just wanted you to know that this time I didn't have a choice and it was indeed coincidental. To begin with ... we got a new case. A horrible one that's gonna take us months to solve... so I needed to find someone that's specializing over human behavior and belongs in the behavior analysis department in the FBI. So I got you a partner!"

Emma breathed out in relief and tapped his shoulder playfully.

"That was it? Seriously?"

"No... there's more!"

He admitted frowning and looking away.

"The problem is that your new partner... well.. it's a her. Want me to talk to you about the case first?"

Emma looked at him with wide eyes and denied with every inch of her body.

"Spit it out already!"

"It's Regina... Regina Mills!"

He finally admitted feeling like he was way lighter right now. A huge amount of weight was vanished. And it felt so good.

Emma was frozen. She was looking at him extremely speechless and emotionless. He couldn't understand if she was angry, sad or surprised. It was probably a combination of them all.

"Love?"

He spelled shyly and squeezed her hands in his own.

"You hired Regina to collaborate with me?!?"

She asked him while rising her voice slowly not being able to stop it.

"Do you even remember why storybrooke got destroyed? Because of her fucking jealously about me Killian! That woman is not in place to collaborate with me, specially when innocent lives are counting on us! You fire her or at least hire someone else and replace me with him! I'm not gonna do it with her! I don't wanna see her ever again in my life! She ruined our fucking lives and she hurt my son more than anyone else!"

She screamed annoyed and slammed her hand on the desk in front of the former pirate. Killian gasped looking at her with an apologetic look on his face.

"She's our only chance! She's the best at her work and you're the best in the entire department! I can't leave the office since I gotta handle all the data and info you'll be sending me... please my love you gotta do this!"

Emma crossed her hands under her chest in denial.

"We haven't seen her for five years... maybe she's changed! You can never know!"

Emma laughed ironically.

"People like regina never change Killian! For god's sake use your head for once in your life."

She breathed heavily looking outside of the window when the pirate approached her encircled her waist with his strong hand and hook. He kissed her neck slowly and tried to sooth her.

"In case any kind of conflict happens between you two I'm gonna fire her. Give her a chance to prove us what she can do! This is an extremely serious case love... and we can't do it alone without the help of a specialist!"

The former savior rolled her eyes and looked at his baby blue eyes miserably.

"What's the case about?"

{Alright guys that was the second part! I hope you guys enjoyed it️️️ love you all!}
