And I'm back! Sure has been a hot minute.
So lately I had been taking my storytelling to Instagram in the fancasting community. Then I was kicked out (The Mega Creator is a little bitch.) for writing a story that pissed off SO MANY PEOPLE. Long story short, fancasting is a land of no second chances.
I wanted to briefly return to make this, but I got into so much shit, that it was best I took my stories someplace else. So where else but FanFiction?
This is a whole shared universe based on some of my favorite concept albums and/or albums I thought had a good story. These will be similar to movies, but not in script form.
In this first story, we follow a teenager named Eddie Raymond, as something goes horribly wrong and morphs him into something he is not too happy about.
Enjoy what I have. Oh, by the way, C&H Central is still on a hiatus.
It was just another morning for teenager Eddie Raymond.
Right at that moment, the boy had just woken up for another treacherous day at school.
Eddie enjoyed school, but he wasn't the best student socially.
He basically stayed off to the side, blasting metal music in his eardrums at full blast when not working on projects.
One of his favorite bands was Iron Maiden, the British heavy metal band with the zombie looking mascot Eddie the Head.
Eddie loved this band to death, and was quick to jump on any naysayers of the band.
Needless to say, it didn't make him very popular.
That one morning, Eddie rolled out of bed and made his way into the closet.
Once his favorite Iron Maiden shirt was rolled on, he yawned and made his way downstairs, where his mother was cooking some eggs.
"Good morning, Eddie." Mrs. Raymond said.
Eddie simply grunted.
"You're extra cheerful this morning."
"I know." Eddie said. "Just don't wanna go to school today."
"Well, we all do things we don't wanna do." his mother said, sliding the plate in front of her son.
Eddie began to eat the eggs and when he was finished, he grabbed his backpack.
When he opened the door, he noticed a package.
"Would you look at that?" he exclaimed.
His mother looked up.
"What?"
"One of the pieces finally came. Could you put it downstairs by the portal?" Eddie asked.
Mrs. Raymond groaned.
"Sure."
"Thanks, Mom. Bye!" Eddie said, leaving the house.
Mrs. Raymond grabbed the box and brought it to the basement.
It should be worth noting that Eddie is a genius.
For the past few weeks, he has been building a portal that can help him travel to other realms.
Despite his intelligence, he did poorly in school because all his time was spent buying machine parts online for his portal.
Mrs. Raymond sometimes wished Eddie did something more with his life, such as cure cancer, instead of building a portal to travel to other realms.
But it was no use, because Eddie Raymond was dedicated.
Bruce Dickinson High School was a really bad place.
At least, according to Eddie.
All day long, he saw kids smoking vapes in the bathroom stalls and swapping alcohol in History classes.
He had no idea why he was supposed to fit in with these chumps.
It didn't matter to him.
Eddie walked into the school that morning, once again giving Powerslave a shuffle.
He was completely jamming out to Back in the Village when an all too familiar face stopped him.
"Watch where you're going, dickweed."
Eddie smirked.
He'd know that voice anywhere.
"How are you today, Dave?"
Dave Garcia was one of Eddie's biggest adversaries at the school.
Mainly because Dave hated all forms of metal, because he claimed, "I can't understand what he's saying!".
This was because he caught Eddie listening to Cannibal Corpse one day.
Ever since then, Eddie had been avoiding Cannibal Corpse.
"I was doing fine until you ran into me, Raymond." Dave grumbled. "Don't you have better things to do than listen to metal and bump into people?"
"Gosh, I don't know, Dave." Eddie said. "Because it seems you bumped into me when you saw I wasn't paying attention."
Dave rolled his eyes.
"Whatever. You're so on the list."
And with that, Dave and his cronie Blaze walked off.
Eddie ignored the obvious death threat and continued to his locker.
Once there, he exchanged some books right as the bell rang.
Eddie's favorite subjects in school were anything science.
Just not in his junior year of high school.
His teacher was a little too obsessed with forensic science, and for some reason that's what she was teaching the class for the whole year.
"And as you see, hair is also a class evidence that can be used to..." the teacher began.
Eddie wasn't really paying attention. He never did in these subjects.
Instead he was sitting in the back of the room, working on a blueprint for his portal.
"Eddie? You still with us?" the teacher asked.
Eddie looked up.
"Oh, yeah. Sorry." he said.
The teacher continued the lesson.
Eddie looked around the room and saw Dave, cracking his knuckles.
Confused, Eddie kept staring at Dave.
"GOOD GOD!"
Eddie was thrown against the wall behind the school during lunch period.
"Kick his ass, Blaze!" Dave shouted.
His mute cronie began to kick Eddie from all sides, and Dave even got in on the fun.
Soon enough, Eddie was down for the count.
Dave and Blaze high fived and left for their next class.
Eddie just stayed there, crouching in pain.
After about fifteen minutes, he was able to get up, and limped towards his next class.
"I swear..." Eddie panted. "If I had special abilities I could beat them to death."
Eddie walked into his house after school with a black eye.
His mother wasn't home, and neither was his father, as both had jobs that had them work until 5.
So naturally Eddie decided to abandon his homework and work on his portal.
Once in the basement, he caught a glimpse of his passion project for the past few weeks.
A giant portal lying in his basement, which had a gray and blue color scheme.
Eddie opened the box and began to apply his new parts.
While he did so, he played some more Iron Maiden.
Around that time, Eddie's parents had arrived home right as Eddie was applying a new piece.
"Eddie! Time for dinner!" his mother called from upstairs.
Eddie looked up from his grease stained clothes.
"OK, Mom. I'll be up in a second." he said, throwing down a wrench.
He failed to notice something abnormal as he left.
One of the nearby Iron Maiden CD covers was having its energy be absorbed by the portal.
And soon enough, the portal was activated.
Only Eddie didn't know about it.
An average dinnertime hit the Raymond household, even one thing that Eddie and his mother didn't want.
The absence of Eddie's father.
Mr. Raymond worked construction, and usually went out with his buddies to the local pub to watch sports and get drunk.
Tonight was one of those nights, as Eddie and his mother were stuck eating pork chops and mashed potatoes.
It was a silent dinner until Mrs. Raymond broke the tension.
"So, how was school today?" she asked.
Eddie grunted.
"Painfully boring. Got beat up by Dave and Blaze again." he said.
"You really shouldn't let those boys beat you up, Eddie." Mrs. Raymond said.
"How can I? I have three classes and the same lunch period with those two douchebags."
"Language, Eddie."
And at that moment, Mr. Raymond came into the house, drunk off his ass.
"WORK SUCKS!" he shouted at the top of his lungs.
This got the attention of his family.
"What happened to you?" Mrs. Raymond asked.
"Went with the pals to O'Hoolihan's!" Mr. Raymond exclaimed. "There was a big game on and that's why I'm drunk."
"I thought you quit drinking." Eddie said.
Mr. Raymond, who was so drunk he couldn't understand a word Eddie was saying, thought it was backlash.
"What did you say, boy?"
Eddie's eyes widened.
"I asked if you quit drinking." he said, innocently.
Mr. Raymond was having none of that.
He loosened his belt and formed a loop.
"Get over here, son." he said in a menacing tone.
Eddie gulped.
"Dad, wait..."
"Honey!" Mrs. Raymond started, before she was cut off.
"SHUT UP, BITCH!" Mr. Raymond yelled so hard the roof shook.
He advanced towards a paranoid Eddie.
Mr. Raymond raised the belt and let out a terrifying scream to anyone on their street.
"TIME TO DIE!" he yelled.
"NO!"
Eddie was able to avoid the belt just in time and he hit the ground running.
Grabbing his phone and headphones, he made his way out the door and left the house.
"YEAH, RUN!" Mr. Raymond yelled. "BUT YOU CAN NEVER COME BACK HERE!"
Mr. Raymond put his belt back on and began helping himself to Eddie's dinner.
"That's Eddie's." Mrs. Raymond said, but Mr. Raymond held a finger up.
"You want the belt too?" he asked.
Mrs. Raymond shrunk and shook her head.
Outside, Eddie was trying to get as far away from his torn home as possible.
He made it halfway across town.
At that point, he had nothing to live for.
No real friends, no loving parents, and his portal was still at the house...
The portal! Eddie slapped his forehead.
"FUCK!" he shouted. "I left the portal unattended. In his drunken ways, Dad's going to destroy my project."
And Eddie started to run home.
He noticed an empty nuclear test site that was a shortcut to his house.
Knowing no one really used the test site anymore, Eddie began running across the field.
However, something was going down at that very test site...
And there we go! The first chapter of the Concept Album FanFiction Universe! I'm really excited for this project and I hope I won't lose motivation for it. Ed Hunter will return momentarily.
