Kuroo sighed, he had no idea where he was going to find Bokuto a date. In fact, Kuroo had no idea how he was going to find Bokuto a date. After their last practice game they had been hanging out and somehow they had gotten into an argument about who knew the other best. This led to them competing and being that they could find the perfect girls for each other. Kuroo had 2 weeks to find a girland convince them to go out with Bokuto for a double date.

People always thought that Kuroo was popular with women but the truth was the opposite, he was a bit awkward and different. He usually spent his time practicing or studying when his grades dropped so he'd never really had time to spend meeting and talking to girls outside of class. 'Maybe one of the girls in his class would be a good match for Bokuto?' he thought.

...

"But why not Raina?" Bokuto whined, he was having a really hard time getting a girl to agree to go out with Kuroo for their bet.

"Because that's crazy, I don't know why you think it's a good idea but I've never even met him! Besides I'm busy with practice anyways, and if you have so much time to go on dates than maybe you should think about using that time to study instead!" Raina pointed her finger at him and suddenly feeling like this wasn't as good of an idea as he thought but still unwilling to back down he fought harder.

"It's not crazy! You're just scared you might actually like Kuroo and then you'd have to thank me," he shot back at the girl.

Raina stilled, she was so upset that she took a step back, "you know what, I can't deal with this right now. Baka." Bokuto watched as Raina walked away, a bit sad that she'd said no but not surprised. He'd known immediately that she'd be perfect for Kuroo, she was exactly the kind of girl he could imagine his friend being with, level headed, fun and a vollyball captain.

...

Raina fumed as she walked away, how dare he?! She grumbled to herself on the way to practice. She was captain of the girls Fukurodani volleyball team and she'd somehow been in the same class as Bokuto since their first year. She'd known Bokuto from middle school too but they'd been in different classes. In fact, she thought he was so stupid for even thinking she'd be happy to go out with Kuroo. For Two reasons, the first being that Bokuto should know her better than that and second because she thought it was pretty obvious how in love with him she was.

...

Lili put her books away slowly, she was pretty sure that her classmate Tetsuro Kuroo was following her. She'd definitely caught him looking at her at lunch and she was petty sure he had tried to talk to her but he was awkward and she was awkward so she just stood up fast and walked away. Now she lingered at her desk, knowing he had to leave for volleyball practice and hoping that he'd either tell her what he wanted or he'd leave. She hoped he'd just leave, but he was so unpredictable and she supposed that's what made him a great volleyball player. So she just sat at her desk and looked at her phone, until the boy could make up his mind.

Kuroo came and sat down in front of her, he faced her and asked "can I get to know you better so I can see if you'd be a good fit for my friend ?" Wow, she thought how direct.

"Um, sorry I don't really know what you mean," she managed to reply. She fiddled with her hair and brushed it behind one of her ears as a nervous tick. Kuroo stared at her, she felt so anxious under his gaze. Finally he explained the bet he had made with a friend and that he thought he'd start with girls in the class. She was the first one to come to mind and so he was asking to basically make friends with her to see if she'd be perfect for Bokuto. "Why did you think of me first?" She asked.

"Because you're the prettiest girl in class, I just know Bokuto would love that," he replied breezily.

Lili stood up quickly seething all of a sudden forgetting her nervousness, "there's more to me than looks." She turned her back and walked away thinking how rude it was to go after her for her looks. 'Fuck that!' she thought.

...

Kuroo blinked curiously, 'I must have hit a sore spot' he thought. "Hey wait, give me your number so we can be friends," he insisted.
