We had left the manor about a week ago. Why couldn't Naraku come and fight like a man? He was making our lives difficult by hiding. There aren't many jewel shards left, so he's bound to show up eventually, but I want to get this over with. I didn't notice that the others had stopped following until they were nowhere to be seen. I should work on my attention span.
A woman appeared before Sesshomaru. She reminded him of their first encounter. I remembered the episode in a heartbeat. "The Woman Who Loved Sesshomaru (Part 1)" was its title. I felt a pang of jealousy before I waved it off. She loves him, but he doesn't love her. He even said it. The woman glared at me before departing. She's just mad she isn't a main character! Yeah I went there. Anyway, she'd be back with InuYasha's Tessaiga. What did she do in the anime again? Oh yeah, she sold her soul to demons or something like that. People these days, huh?
Sesshomaru faced me, and I just looked at him. I didn't do anything this time. I was innocent. He came over to me, and I stood absolutely still. Something about him today scared me. I couldn't tell what it was, but I could tell that it wasn't something that I would like.
He took me into his arms and kissed me fiercely. I didn't do anything to stop him. It was terrifyingly passionate. I felt my cheeks catch fire. This was a dirty kiss. When I finally got enough courage to try to get away from him, he only held me closer and continued to do what he wanted, forcing his way into my mouth.
I pulled out of the kiss and Sesshomaru growled at my disobedience. I avoided his gaze. He continued to nuzzle me.
"Sesshomaru…" I managed to say.
"I will not take you now." He promised.
That lowered my anxiety slightly, but what was wrong? Was I wrong about this episode? No, definitely not. That was a onetime thing…hopefully.
"What troubles you?" he asked me.
"I honestly do not know." I admitted. "I just feel like something is off."
"…"
"I don't know." I repeated as my grip on his kimono instinctively. Even though I realized my grip, I did not let go.
Was I forgetting something important? Hmmm… I really don't know why. I have this feeling that something's wrong, but I don't know what it is. Maybe I was just spazzing or something. We released each other. I watched him as he led on. I followed him.
'What am I doing in this world again?' [Me]
Trying to kill Naraku. [I]
'Why?' [Me]
Because that is what was chosen to happen.[Myself]
'Who choose?' [Me]
You did. [I]
'My choice has never made this big of a deal before.' [Me]
Well, it does now. [Myself]
'Can I choose to stop, not like I would though, or is it a one-time choice? And who decided that my choices would be important?' [Me]
The Fates. [Myself]
'I don't believe in the Fates, so how that possibly work?' [Me]
You're starting to get really annoying. [I]
'Can't help it, I'm bored.' [Me]
Go be bored in the real world. [Myself]
'Your words pierce my heart like an arrow sent to fly by a skilled archer!' [Me]
You're trying to be poetic, but it isn't working. Stop doing that. [I]
'You guys are no fun right now.' [Me]
Try again later; you're all out of ideas. [Myself]
A day or two had passed before that lady came back. What was her name? Sarah? No, but I know it started with an S. She had the Tessaiga this time. Oh yay, the Brash One was coming. Sarah stared at me- that is not her name but I'm going to call her by it because I forgot it- with fierce eyes filled with loathing. She presented Tessaiga to Sesshomaru, but he was more upset than pleased. How does InuYasha lose his sword so easily?
She spoke of the day her clan had surrounded Sesshomaru, and how she had allowed herself to be consumed by demons to be reborn and work under him. Sesshomaru stared at her before denying her and the sword.
"I do not understand!" She said.
"I do not require your assistance to obtain the sword." He said bluntly. "Leave me."
She seemed devastated. I could understand where she was coming from, not really. What I'm saying is that how she feels is understandable. She basically sold her soul just to be rejected by the demon that she wanted to have her soul. D-A-M-N. I felt really bad at the moment for her. I didn't pity her, no, that's disrespect. I just couldn't imagine going through that myself.
Sara! That's her name! Sara glared at me with nothing but hate in her eyes. I didn't like that.
"It is because of her!" she guessed. "She has your heart."
Sesshomaru simply stared at Sara. The stare dared her to try and do something. OH SNAP! She just flipped his protective/possessive mode on! I felt a squeal of excitement form in my throat, but I kept it down.
"What has she done that makes her special? I will do whatever it is and more!" Sara said.
"You will never amount to her in this Sesshomaru's eyes." Sesshomaru said back coldly.
The dead woman took a step back out of surprise.
"If I cannot please you, then she has no right to either!" Sara said as she charged at me.
I flipped into a tree. My mother was right; gymnastics was worth it, not completely, but somewhat. I stared at her from the tree I was in.
"Don't take your anger out on me. It's not my fault that you have unrequited love." I told her.
That only made her more angry. Oh well. Could I fight? I know I haven't before, or done anything related to fighting other than punching stuff, but isn't this what my beast was for?
You are correct. Only say the word and I will guide your body. [Beast]
That's why I love Beast, always there for me. I let her take over my body.
I jumped out of the tree and landed on one of its uplifted roots. My beast stared at Sara. When she attacked again, Beast caught Tessaiga with one hand and watched the young woman struggle to get it out of my hand. Beast easily disarmed my attacker and tossed the sword to Sesshomaru. He caught it, plot hole, and waited for me to finish.
Now that Sara was unarmed, it was Beast's turn to attack. She clawed at Sara with poison-tipped claws. Beast had Sara on the ground quickly with a leg sweep. I stood up and was given control over my body once again. That was cool. I wonder if Beast could do even cooler things. I'm pretty sure she can! She didn't even fight with the move that cuts through stuff! She only leg sweeped. I wish she had done more, but I guess Sara wasn't that big of a problem.
"I have not been bested!" Sara yelled as she stood up again.
This time, demons sprang from her body. I was able to evade two of them and cut the third one in half. Unfortunately, a little bit of demon juts got in my claws. Yuk! At least it didn't get on me. Sesshomaru had destroyed the other two with a flick of his wrist. Lucky, I don't get a whip… or do I?
At your current level, your whip is inaccessible. [Beast]
'So I have one! But that's no fair. I want to flick my wrist and kill my enemies!' [Me]
A poisonous whip is much harder to control than you believe. Sesshomaru has had years of training. [Beast]
And he's a prodigy…to me at least. I backed away from Sara as Sesshomaru attacked. He separated the medium Sara from the demons. THEN InuYasha wants to show up. If we wanted to, we would have been long gone with the damn sword. Sesshomaru let InuYasha have his sword back. InuYasha cleared out the demons, and then took a fighting stance toward Sesshomaru.
"You put her up to this, didn't you?!" he yelled at Sesshomaru.
"Instead of getting angry at him, how about you thank him?" I asked InuYasha calmly. "He could have left with the sword you know."
"Thank him? Did you hit your head somewhere?" InuYasha asked me.
I rubbed the bridge of my nose. "No, you idiot, I'm just stating facts."
"Facts?! Like hell those are facts!" InuYasha belted out.
"Yes, facts. Just like how it is a fact that you had you sword stolen, again."
"Who's side are you on anyway?!"
"The winning side."
"That's not answering the question!"
"How have you all been?" I asked everyone else, ignoring InuYasha.
"Oh, we're fine." Kagome answered.
"Miroku!" I called out.
He jumped slightly. "Y-yes?"
"Did you pop the question?" I asked him.
"Which question?"
"You know! The question! Have you proposed to Sango yet?" I asked.
"You know about that?!" he asked me in surprise.
"I told you, I know a lot more than you think!"
Miroku laughed and rubbed his back as he avoided the question.
"You do know more than we think! I had completely forgotten! It's just been so long since we've last seen each other!"
"You're right… the anime's going to end soon too…" I said sadly.
"What do you mean?" Sango asked.
"Huh?"
"You said the anime's going to end soon."
"Did I say that out loud?! There's no way I can explain it… yes there is, but I can't."
"Sounds like you're holding back some information that could get us through this a lot quicker." InuYasha said.
"Well, if I were to tell you, then you all could either die because you engaged in something you weren't ready to, or things turn out completely different simply because I told you. You choose."
"Kazumi." I heard Sesshomaru call.
"Aww! Just a little longer?" I asked him.
He gave me the look that said 'you should be grateful I even let you talk to them.'
"Fine, fine. I'll see you all later, okay?"
They all nodded their heads, and I continued with Sesshomaru. Once I caught up to him, I walked beside him.
"Thanks back there." I said happily.
He said nothing. I sighed and stared straight ahead. The series was going to end soon. That was saddening. I sighed. Wait, don't I want it to end? Wasn't that what I was thinking before? Oh my goodness, this is why I need to stop thinking so much.
A/N: So there was a little action… I'm really bad with action scenes. X( I'm so sorry! I'll try to get better! T-T It's just so hard for me!
The main reason I put an A/N was to tell you all something. I had majority of the story written so I only needed to edit chapters, and planned on having 50 chapters. Well, I counted wrong. I thought I had 50 chapters, but in all actuality, I have 39 and ab epilogue. So I guess you all are lucky because you get around ten more chapters, more if you include extras and the Inu-movies that I am procrastinating on. But I'm telling you all this because it's going to take me longer to update sometimes. I hope you all can bear with me!
