It had been over a week since that… occurrence. I managed to get it out of my head for majority of the time, but sometimes it would sneak up on me and smack me in the face. Onto more important notes, I had no idea where we were in the anime. I knew that we were searching for the last shard of the Shikon Jewel, but there were so many fillers! Umm… are we in the final acts? No, we can't be… maybe we are. Did Sesshomaru ever meet Princess Abi? I don't know! Ugh! Wasn't she a phoenix? No, because then she wouldn't have died, right? … That's a pretty butterfly…

We needed to hurry up and meet up with the Inu Y crew so I could get back on track. I sighed to myself silently and closed my eyes for a moment. I opened them when I felt my feet be taken off the ground. Sesshomaru had put me on Ah-Un beside Rin.

"I'm fine with walking." I told him.

"No."

Okay. That was that.

"Kazumi-san."

"Yes Rin?"

"Are you and Sesshomaru-kyou going to get married?"

"Why do I feel as though we've talked about this before?" I asked.

"Please tell me!"

"Well, I guess you could say we're getting married… That would be the human term, but the correct term is mated. I'm not sure if there's going to be a huge celebration or anything…"

"Are you an idiot? Of course there will be a large celebration! Lord Sesshomaru's mating will be the largest event to happen in this era!"

"Don't call me an idiot, Thing. Tú no sabes nada, pero tú hablas mucho."

He looked at me with nothing but confusion on his face. Yeah, who's the idiot now? I just hope I said that right…

"Does that mean you'll be with Sesshomaru forever?" the little girl asked me.

"It does." I confirmed.

"Really? That means that you'll be with Rin too!"

"It does."

"But how do you know that you want to be with Lord Sesshomaru forever?"

"Well, you know how you feel toward Sesshomaru, right?" I asked.

"Yes."

"I feel the same way, but on a different scale, like how a mom would love a dad."

"Oh! Does that mean you're going to make a lot of babies?"

"Uh…"

"Yes." Sesshomaru answered in my place.

"It depends…"

"Really?! Will Rin be able to watch over them?" she asked, shaking with excitement.

"S-" I stopped midsentence.

Rin was going to be left with Kaede because she needed to grow up as a human. I had been making promises of staying together, knowing this but never putting two and two together. I didn't want to lie to the girl, but I also didn't want to see her mood to be dampened.

"Sometimes we just have to wait and see." I finished with a smile.

She smiled broadly, and I smiled back. I had gotten acquainted to traveling in our little group of four, but now that we were searching for the final jewel shard, our time together like this was limited. I had to remember that, whether I wanted to or not.

When I noticed that we stopped moving, I looked at Sesshomaru. He was beckoning for me to follow him as the others rested. I did so. We walked to the outskirts of a village, just in time to run into the Inu Y crew. A dead body was sprawled in front of them and a young demon child was crying over the body. Sesshomaru stared at the body before acknowledging InuYasha's presence.

After a few bitter insults were exchanged, Sesshomaru turned to leave. I did not do the same. Rather, I stared at the lifeless body of the demon the child was crying on. This was the episode when Sesshomaru brings back a stranger. To me, it showed that not only was Sesshomaru becoming a better person, but also that he was mastering the Tensaiga.

The plot of the episode progressed as it did in the anime. Kagome pointed out that Sesshomaru could bring back people from the dead. InuYasha says something rude again. Sesshomaru shuts him up by bringing the dead man back.

"We're almost there…"

"Almost where?" Kagome asked.

"Huh?" I wondered.

"You said we're almost there." InuYasha repeated.

"Did I?"

"Yes, you did."

"Then again, we still have the whole bird thing…"

"Birds?"

"Oh, am I holding you back, Sesshomaru? I'm sorry."

I turned and started to follow Sesshomaru.

"I'll see you all later!" I called to them as I left.

Sesshomaru then led me out into the forest. I hummed softly to myself as we walked. I hadn't sung in the longest time… I looked at the Sesshomaru's broad back. Would he mind if I sang?

"Sesshomaru?" I started.

He glanced back at me, showing that he was listening.

"Would you mind if I sang a little?" I asked.

"Do as you like." He said in return.

I was happy that I would be able to use my rusty voice again. But what would I sing? Well, I don't have to use words, right? Well, I could sing Just Give Me A Reason by Pink, but that's a little old… Oh! I know!

I took a deep breath and let the melody of Someone Like You by Adele flow from my lips. I love Adele songs so much! The lyrics came to me because I had taken the time to memorize the lyrics. Of course my voice wasn't as strong as Adele's but I found it to be light and pleasant still. After my last 'instead', I got ready for Turning Tables, but noticed how Sesshomaru was looking at me.

"Is something wrong?" I asked.

"You wish for me to not forget you?" he asked.

"Oh, no, that was what the song says. I sang the song because I just love the accompaniment and the way the lyrics sound to the melody." I said before I realized that he didn't know the accompaniment.

"Then sing how you feel toward me." He commanded.

Was he curious about how I feel about him? He stared at me as I gazed at him. I blushed and ripped my gaze away from him and put it onto the ground. The first thing that popped into my mind was Marry You by Bruno Mars, but that would be too embarrassing to sing. Something to convey my feelings?

I started off soft, but eventually sang I'm Yours by Jason Mraz. It was just as embarrassing to sing that song as it would have been with Marry You.

When I looked up, Sesshomaru was walking toward me. He held me in my arms. I could tell he was smirking. My face was a rose. Did I walk into this one without realizing it? I could feel my ears get hotter along with my body.

"I'm sorry for making you listen to my singing." I said to release some steam.

"Anything my mate does is perfect." He whispered.

I was silent again. I looked to the side to avoid eye contact. That was a bad choice. Sesshomaru licked my neck slowly, and I shivered as he did it. His tongue then met my collar bone as he started to pull down my kimono. I got myself away from him, but was wobbly. I had not braced myself for that.

"W-we should keep going, Rin must be wondering where we are." I said.

He smirked at me for a second before leading on. Note to self, don't sing within a 35ft. radius of Sesshomaru again.
