I had managed to talk Sesshomaru into letting me go to a village with Rin to buy supplies. He easily funded us, and so we had a little fun with the excess money.

"Do you think this one is good?" I asked Rin.

"Yes! My Lord would love that one!" she responded.

We were buying kimonos. The one's here were beautiful. I was wearing a black one with lotuses on it. Rin's was yellow with magenta swirls on it. We also bought hair ornaments, one each. Even at that, we still had a lot of money after buying clothes, food, bathing materials, and female products. I decided that we would save it for next time and started out of the village.

I wanted to come here in the first place to buy female products. It was that time of the month again. I absolutely hated it. It surprised me this morning, and I had to take a bath and do other things. I'm pretty sure Sesshomaru knows too. I could smell my blood even as a human.

"Rin, go back to Sesshomaru. I'll be there in a few minutes."

She nodded her head and ran off toward where I knew Sesshomaru was waiting. I turned back to the town and found a river. I went outside of the village, and washed some kimonos near the banks. I was tired of all the hassle this period was bringing me, and the first day hasn't even passed. Then again, the first day is always the worst. And then there are cramps. Oh! Them cramps don't play. I laid down and sat in the sunlight for a short while before getting up. This was not one of my good days.

"A woman in heat, nothing smells better."

Definitely not one of my good days. There was a demon right across the river from me. I followed my instincts and ran away from the river bank, but ran into a tree. This was most definitely NOT my day! I held my head, trying to shield the pain, but it didn't work. Instead, it got me caught by that hideous thing called a demon.

"I wonder how your flesh will taste…"

He was going to eat me. That's new. I struggled for my life, clawing at the monsters arms and kicking my legs frantically. I couldn't do anything else. I was bloated and having horrible cramps. I felt completely useless in the situation.

My thoughts were scattered when the demon put my head in the river. The cold water shocked me, and I realized what it was doing. It was trying to drown me. My flails were alive again as I struggled to resurface for air. I managed to get a quick breath of air, but was shoved back into the water.

I managed to calm myself down and play dead. The demon pulled me out of the water and I let my body go limp and held my breath.

"Such weak, yet tasty creatures." He said.

I took that moment to kick it in its face as hard as I could. The demon dropped me, and I fell to the ground which was a couple of feet below me. I got up as quickly as I could, and made a break for the woods as the monster winced in pain. Unfortunately, before I could get anywhere near the forest, a black tentacle like thing wrapped around my waist and shot me into the water again.

The thing around my waist then pulled me up, and I choked as I tried to breathe.

"You bitch! I won't let you have a chance to play dead this time!" it shrieked.

I was submerged in the water again. I held my eyes shut, trying to think of a way out of this, when I felt a crushing pressure on my chest. My eyes shot open and saw that the tentacle like structure had spread and was pressing against my chest. I eventually lost my breath, and let bubbles of precious oxygen escape from my mouth. I swallowed some water as I closed my mouth again, but black spots were already forming in the corners of my eyes. My lungs were burning, and so was every muscle in my body. This time when I went limp, I wasn't playing dead. As I stared at darkness, I saw an image of Sesshomaru and Rin blur into nothing against the sounds of more breath forming bubbles that drifted away from my body.

When my body began to cough up the water I had swallowed, I was astonished. I survived being drowned? When did this become Ranma ½? I didn't want to open my eyes because of how sore my body felt, but when familiar hands touched my face, I opened them. Before I could even see his face, I was buried in his kimono. When I finally looked at him, I noticed that he was wet. He dove into the river for me.

"You idiot…" he said as he held onto me.

"Why the hell is the river so deep?" I questioned as I let him clench onto me.

"I will not let you leave my side the next time you menstruate." He whispered in my ear.

His words reminded me that I was on my cycle, and I tried to get off of him, but he wouldn't let go.

"It is proof that you are alive." He said.

I was quieted by his words and the soreness of my throat. I gazed at his wet, silver hair and beautiful golden eyes. I then noticed that the demon that attacked me was laying lifelessly behind us, cut in half.

"I'm sorry," I managed to say, "I troubled you again."

He held me closer in reply before standing up with me still in his arms.

"You need to change." He said.

I nodded, left his embrace, and retrieved the new kimono I had left on the river bank. He escorted me to a nearby hot spring, and I took a bath. I dealt with what I needed to deal with and rejoined him. He must have changed also since his clothes were dry, but the explanation as to how his hair was dry was beyond me.
