Both mums managed to remain surprisingly calm as long as they had been looking around the suite making sure that Henry was actually missing. Well... it was a sure thing! He wasn't a three year old boy anymore though... it wouldn't be that easy for someone to just lift him and kidnap him.
He was a grown up man.
Snow was getting worried. She called David to inform him about the big news and David couldn't help but start looking around the hotel alone.
"We have to find him! Any possible places that robin could have chosen as his safe place?"
Emma asked and crossed her hands under her chest trying her best to think rationally and forget the fact that it's all about her son for a sec.
"I don't know."
The brunette woman replied and kneeled down on the floor while holding Henry's t-shirt inside her palms. The guilts she was feeling were all over her face now. If she had never hurt them all by vanishing storybrooke they wouldn't have winded up here now looking for Henry!
Robin was trying to get his revenge by hurting Henry first! They couldn't let this happen.
"Regina?"
Snow asked and the brunette didn't answer. She just placed Henry's T-shirt inside her black purse and put on her black coat. She was getting ready to get out there and start looking.
"It's my fault and now I have to fix this!"
"How exactly is this your fault? You couldn't have known."
Emma commented and sighted.
"Of course it is! I caused so much pain that I made an ordinary person kill in order to find relief!"
"Regina for god's sake that person is a psycho! You might helped him create this side of his character but trust me it's not your fault! He's probably tending to become a serial killer for many years now... after all hunters love to kill. Especially Robin."
Snow pointed out annoyed and walked out of the suite. She left the two lovers looking at each other in shock. Regina looked inside Emma's eyes to see purity and love burning inside of her. A small grin appeared on the blond woman's face. She might was quite disturbed since her son was in danger but she could never blame Regina again.
She loved her way too much to put the blame on her... she was going through hell already! She didn't need another reason why to go mad as well.
Emma held Regina's hands lovingly and smiled.
"It's going to be okay. I promise."
"Don't make promises you can't keep miss swan."
Regina added.
Emma looked sure for a strange reason. She looked confident and ready to kick asses. She wasn't afraid. Not anymore... she had traveled all the way to Tartarus and back. Robin's enormous doze of insanity seemed like heaven to her.
"Who said that I can't?"
She placed a soft kiss on Regina's lips and the brunette didn't seem to be hesitating at all. She enjoyed it as well. She pushed emma away in the end of the heated kiss almost smiling.
"We gotta go!"
Emma shook her head and they both left the room.
"What's the plan?"
Regina asked as they walked downstairs and reached the main lobby of the five star hotel.
"My mother and father are gonna look at the left side of the hotel for clues whilst we will be looking at the right one."
Regina nodded and kept walking around looking at every single corner of the building. Her heart was pounding very hard. She knew that henry was in danger. She could feel that Robin had taken him to scare the crap out of them..
He was sneaky as f@ck! That man knew how to drive her crazy and get inside her head... but her kid! No one got to mess with her kids! She wouldn't allow anyone to even touch a hair of Henry's head.
Both women walked inside the stuff room and started looking behind the cleaning objects.
"Nothing here."
Emma said exhausted.
"Searching in the exact same room at the same time is not helpful at all... we have to split up!"
Regina added and sighted disappointed.
The blood inside her veins was boiling... she had so much repressed anger burning inside of her that it almost drove her insane. She took a deep breath to relax the pressure on her head and looked back towards Emma's direction. Emma didn't seem that happy with Regina's idea. The look on her face was pretty much worried and deterrent.
"What? Do you have a better idea?"
Regina asked and placed her both of her hands on her hips looking at emma with a patronizing look on her face.
"No... it's just I don't think that splitting up while there's Robin walking around the hotel freely is a good idea."
She hesitated but finally confessed. Was she scared to death about Regina's well being? YES! Was she scared to death about Henry's disappearance? 100% YES! She couldn't worry over both Regina and Henry though... At least she wanted to have her support system by her side as a source of courage and motivation.
Regina rolled her eyes and snapped.
"FOCUS! Our son is missing for god's sake! Do you think that I'm gonna sit down with my hands crossed while Henry could be in danger? If splitting up means that I get to find my son earlier so be it! I'm not risking his life right now!"
"You think that by risking your own life you're doing any good Regina?"
"We don't have a better plan ... I'd rather take my chances."
The brunette woman answered with a firm and aggravated look on her face.
"There's no chance I can make up your mind huh?"
Emma asked reluctantly and looked at Regina with huge puppy eyes...
"I guess not. Be careful miss Swan."
"As long as you're careful madam mayor."
She replied in exasperation and forced a smile on her face to enlighten the mood. Regina gathered as much strength as she had left, turned around and walked away shaking her hips as always. She would never lose her feminine side no matter the brutality of the situation. Don't forget that she was a sassy but classy woman..
Emma rubbed her temples irritated as soon as the wooden door shut behind and walked outside of the cleaning lady's equipment room. The entire lobby was dark... there was no sign of lighting anywhere except the shadow of the moon entering the building from the vast windows around the well decorated area.
Even the receptionist was missing... she was probably busy eating snacks at the back room with the security cameras. At least if something had happened the secretary would be informed and alerted right away.
She tightened the grip on her fists as she started walking across the lobby, towards the long corridor that led right to the basement. She had nothing to lose... every time she watched a horror movie the victim was always hidden in the basement... she new that reality she was experience was differing from the innocence of the movies but like I said, she had nothing to lose.
At least she had to be sure. The light was eliminating as long as she kept walking further into the darkness. She grabbed her cellphone and turned on the flashlight so she would be able to look around and see clearly her surroundings.
Silence conquering the entire building again. To be honest she was glad that she didn't hear the sound of Regina screaming. At least that way she knew that the brunette woman was okay... She reached the wooden staircase leading downstairs to the basement and took a deep breath. That looked like such a bad idea, but still! It was for her son's sake! Like they say... the end justifies the means!
She started walking down the stairs when she felt a cold freeze conquering her body. Her legs were suddenly shaking from the sensation of fear covering her body. Her heart was beating faster and faster in alert and her breathing was suddenly heavier. She was fully aware that her brain was currently playing games on her.
She had to get it together and concentrate on finding Henry! She took a deep breath as she stepped down the last tread and gasped when someone grabbed her by the elbow and pulled her closer. She let out a cry of terror and shut her eyes closed in astonishment and petrification.
"SHHH!"
She heard someone whispering. She opened her left eye first searching for a pair of eyes to look in the darkness. A pair of sky blue eyes were staring right inside her soul. She blinked a couple of times and finally mastered the trait of vision in the darkness. It was Killian! She gasped and held his face in order to make sure that it was indeed her husband.
"Killian?"
She asked in hoarse voice and almost chocked at how much dry her throat was. Killian smiled at her broadly and held her hand reassuringly.
"Yes it's me love! You're safe don't worry."
"What the hell?! You scared the crap out of me! What are you doing here???"
She asked in high pitched voice and widened open eyes.
"Regina called me a couple of hours ago crying and told me about Henry! I couldn't let you go through this alone! I asked my friend Larry to drop me off here with his helicopter so I could help you guys!"
"How could she not tell me?"
She frowned as they started walking back upstairs.
"She might forgot it considering all this madness going on here. I tried calling you as soon as I reached the hotel but my phone battery dropped so I started looking for both you and Henry! I ended up down here and I guess that... we found each other like we always do."
He gave her a charming smile and placed a peck on her lips to soothe her. Emma nodded her head still kinda confused and finally hugged him tight. She didn't miss him... to be honest she didn't miss him at all... she just needed to feel safe for a couple of seconds before she would get back on her mission.
"I'm here now! Relax. Everything's gonna be okay!"
"Oh really? Well... nice savior huh? Three months here and look at me! Still no progress."
She whined.
"Hey! We are the heroes remember? We always make it work in the end. In case things are not going okay that means it's not the end! Always remember that."
He tucked her hair behind her ear and smiled broadly. Emma looked inside his eyes seeking for reassurance trying to avoid her guilts.
Killian placed another soft kiss on her lips and then on the top of her forehead.
"Let's go find Regina. She shouldn't be walking around the hotel alone."
"I know. I told her that, but she insisted like she always does!"
Emma fought back and hold his hand. Killian laughed and started heading towards the gardens.
"She's probably gonna be there! I met her on my way here so I informed that I'm here now and that I'm about to come and get you."
Emma forced a smile and looked away. Killian meeting up with Regina would be awkward. Her husband and her lover in the same room... how uncomfortable and wrong! Anyway... it's not time to think about that she thought! She had other priorities to focus on for now.
She followed him till the gardens to find Regina searching inside flower beds in distress.
"What are you doing?"
The brunette woman gasped alarmed at the voice of the former sheriff and stood back up straightening her back in pain.
"Looking for any possible clues."
"I bet Henry's not in there."
"I'm not looking for Henry dumbass! I just thought that maybe whoever took him left a clue behind."
Emma rolled her eyes.
"I see you found Killian."
She continued with a discouraging and slaughter ironic look on her face. The pirate smiled.
"I found her. She was in the basement."
"As if Henry would be tightened up down there! Don't think so predictably miss swan! We are not guest stars in a horror movie! You need to use your imagination on this one."
She crossed her hands beneath her chest and looked at the tip of her shoes awkwardly.
"Any ideas where should we look next?"
"Looks like he's not in the hotel anymore."
The sound of David's voice came right behind the married couple and three heads turned around looking the charmings.
"Killian?"
Snow asked surprised and then back at Emma who looked at her mother in shock.
"That means we need to follow the queen's orders. We need to use our imagination! Any idea who is the murderer?"
"We kept you updated honey. We think it's Robin Hood."
Emma replied softly and placed a peck on his cheek. Regina looked away trying her best to hide her annoyance.
"Okay, so we need to check on the security cameras. In case he drove away the hotel the security cameras will have detected his car."
"True."
Snow replied and hold David's hand.
"Lead the way to the security room then."
Killian said with confidence in his voice and Regina bypassed them heading inside the hotel area again quite pissed. Emma bit her lips sneakily... the brunette was actually jealous. What a wonderful surprise... maybe Regina was not just a cold hearted mayor that wouldn't allow herself to love again... Emma broke her walls for sure! That meant success.
The entire crew followed Regina inside the vast building and walked inside the security room. The brunette woman opened the door to see a small and delicate woman sitting on a leather chair with her feet on the desk half asleep.
The brunette woman cleared her throat loudly in order to be heard and the younger lady opened her eyes alarmed looking at the charmings in embarrassment. Red color spread all over her cheeks as she blinked her eyes a couple of times to get used to the brightness of the room.
"I do believe that you're the night guard huh?"
Regina asked with a sarcastic tone in her voice and walked inside the room looking around the mechanisms.
"Yes yes I'm so sorry! I had four cup of coffees today but nothing helped me from falling asleep! I didn't get any sleep last night."
"Do I look like I care?"
Oh whoa... the passionate and bossy mayor attitude was back. Emma smirked in enthusiasm as she kept watching Regina fighting the girl's excuses.
"It's okay it's okay! We just wanted to take a look on the security cameras that is all!"
Snow White got in the middle of their aggressive conversation smiling broadly at the younger woman.
"Ugh... I'm afraid that I can't let you do that."
"Why not?"
Regina looked at her with an aggressive death stare.
"I can't let random people taking a look on private hotel footage."
She claimed with a dose of fear in her voice.
"Do I look like a random person Chipmunk?"
The younger woman looked at Regina and swallowed hard I hesitation.
"No?"
She asked not really sure about her choice of words.
Regina laughed ironically as she paced around the room and ended up sitting on the top of the woman's office.
"What's your name?"
She asked obviously pissed.
"Alexa?"
The brunette girl replied and her voice cracked as fear conquered her.
"You know who I am Alexa? I'll tell you!"
She grabbed her budge and handed it over the girl quite proud. A few seconds passed as Alexa took a look on it and handed it back.
"You can come back in the morning ma'am and speak to my boss! I'm just a worker here... I'm not allowed to share any private footage with anyone under no circumstances! I'm just doing my job!"
"And I'm doing mine..."
Regina leaned closer to Alexa and spitted out slowly losing her temper.
"Regina! It's okay we can come back in the morning!"
Snow interrupted again looking at Alexa with a sympathetic look on her face.
"Step back princess. I can handle this."
The brunette queen replied and gave Snow White the evil eye. Snow immediately hushed and stepped behind not in the mood to fight for an already lost battle with Regina.
She knew her step mother way too good... she wouldn't stop now! Especially when Henry was in danger.
"We can make an agreement! You give me the footage and I can give you this."
She laid a 100 dollar banknote on the desk like a fisher throws his bait in the blue sea.
"Do you think that you can buy me that easily?"
Alexa said and raised her eyebrow trying to be strong.
"Don't make me do this the hard way little girl. You have no idea what I'm capable of."
Her eyes turned into a pair of terrifying dark orbs as she looked at the younger woman with her face distorted by the anger boiling inside of her chest.
"Alright enough! Hey... look... our son went missing! I know that all you're trying to do is your job... but we are two mothers worrying over our kid! I bet that your mum would want to have somebody's help at least if she was in our shoes... please... if something happens to my son I'll never be able to forgive myself. Just let us see the footage and you won't have to deal with us ever again!"
Emma begged her and kneeled down next to the younger woman holding both her hands inside her own with a pleading look on her face.
Alexa remained silent for a second when she finally stood up and let Emma take her seat on the leather chair.
"I'll go find it for you. Just give me a second!"
She claimed and forced a smile.
"Thank you! Thank you so much."
Emma smiled broadly.
Snow looked at emma filled with proudness for her child and approached.
"I'll remember that chipmunk!"
Regina barked at the security guard and grabbed her by the elbow.
"ENOUGH REGINA."
Snow chirped and pulled the brunette woman behind scared to death for her own well being.
Regina sighted and sat down next to emma and crossed her legs.
"Hormones..."
Snow said almost singing as Alexa walked away.
"I had her."
"There was no need to kick her ass Regina. Maybe you gotta try harder with the easy way first."
Emma advised her.
"Oh yes I forgot. You're the savior so you always get to earn peoples trust and love!"
She admitted ironically and looked away.
A couple of minutes passed in silence as Emma decided to drop the current argument and let the former mayor to relax for a little bit. Alexa walked back into the room holding a DVD in her hands.
"Here's a copy. You better not tell me superior about this. He's gonna kill me."
"Don't worry we'll keep our mouths shut."
"As if you're good as keeping secrets."
Regina mumbled and walked outside of the room.
"Regina I was ten!"
"Shut up!"
"This mission is perfectly splendid!"
Snow replied ironically.
"And you're perfectly mental!"
Regina barked back and walked in the elevator in order to get back inside the honeymoon suite to watch the tape...
