He slowly opened his eyelids looking at Regina with a confused look on his face. The bright lightening inside the room was clearly blinding so his eyes ached in annoyance. Regina brought his hand closer to her mouth and placed a soft kiss on the bare pale skin. A couple of tears escaped her eyes and landed on his tshirt.

Emma approached her son as well from the other side of the bed and kissed his forehead.

"How are you feeling big guy?"

Her voice hoarse and her eyes concentrated on him. She wouldn't dare look at Regina... ever again. The pain was too much. The pain Regina had caused was way too much and unbearable this time. How stupid of emma to love and forgive her again.

All she wanted was to love that woman and make her happy. Regina couldn't change though... it was like she was cursed or something. Bad actions and terrible consequences would follow her everywhere.

The younger boy cleared his throat and squeezed Regina's hand.

"I killed Killian... how am I supposed to feel?"

He said with a look cold as ice. Regina looked at him in surprise. He reminded of her... after the first time... darkness taking over her heart... slowly blackening it and slowly turning it to a rock.

"Henry... I have no idea what to say to make you feel better, but let's just say that you tried to protect us! It was kinda of self defense... although you defended us! You followed your heart..."

Emma tried to lighten up the mood but the Henry didn't seem like he felt any better.

The brunette woman just pressed her lips together silently bringing back all these memories from the past again. She didn't want such life for her son. A lifetime of him regretting his actions. A lifetime in pain and self torture.

"I know how that feels."

She managed to say.

"Of course you do."

Emma replied right away with a firm and bitchy look on her face. Henry didn't seem to listen. Her pulled away his hand from Regina's palms staring at the bear flesh with tears in his eyes.

"No matter his actions, no one has the right to take away a life! Especially me!"

"Unfortunately you can't undo what has already been done."

Regina continued lost in her thoughts.

"Regina get out!"

Emma barked and walked in front of Henry like she was protecting him from the evil queen. Regina looked at emma with the same old cold and emotionless look on her face.

"This is my son as well miss swan! I'm not planning to make the same mistake again and leave him."

"Well too bad for you but you're leaving! I don't want a killer influencing my son to follow the wrong path in life!"

"You actually blame me for Henry killing Killian? It was defense! You said it by yourself!"

"He's obviously hurt enough to have you around acting in misery and hatred. He has been watching you causing pain and disaster everywhere you go since he was a baby! He doesn't need such prototypes in his life!"

"Miss swan I will not allow this this time! I changed! You saw me! You know this! Don't let your pain make you do things you'll regret sooner than you think!"

Regina yelled through her tears. The walls were down for once again, and her emotions were flooding her body non stop.

"I demand full custody!"

Emma fought back and held Henry's hand. The brunette woman froze looking at Emma in astonishment... she wouldn't... she wouldn't dare take the only thing that actually mattered to Regina! Henry was the only person that could calm the beast inside of her... she was her only way to love and find happiness. Her son... the person she was willing to give her life for in an instant.

"Excuse me?!? Henry?"

She looked at the younger boy who kept looking away of them both. He didn't seem like he wanted to be part of this argument. He just sniffed and closed his eyes. It looked like an approval to Regina.. it was enough to make her heart ache in agonizing pain.

She felt like someone had just stabbed her on the chest. She just placed her hands inside her pockets sighting.

"See you at court madam mayor."

Emma spelled and pointed over the door.

"Another battle the savior is gonna win. What a surprise! The heroes always win like your dear husband Killian once said. If that's what you want miss swan so be it. I'm not gonna give up on him that easily."

"Then you better find a good lawyer because trust me, I got too many people that are willing to testify against you!"

Her voice hoarse and deadly low. Regina just nodded her head and walked out of the room with her heart beating faster and faster. The minute the door shut behind her she broke down in loud sobs. She held her still flat stomach, gripping her shirt in despair. God give her strength for what's coming next...

Snow and David approached her with their broad smiles fading away as soon as they noticed all that pain on the other woman's face... snow furrowed her eyebrows and placed her hand on Regina's shoulder.

"What happened?"

"Oh yeah, like you have no idea!"

Regina groaned through her tears and wiped the small drops.

"Excuse me?"

"She's your daughter Snow! Of course she would turn out just like you! Ruthless!"

"What are you talking about?"

David narrowed his brows and crossed his hands under his chest.

"She wants full custody!"

Both snow and David looked at each other in surprise. They weren't faking and that's for sure. One thing snow was terrible at was lying and faking! Regina would have known since the very first minute.

"She what?"

Regina frowned.

"Wait... you guys don't know?"

David shook his head negatively.

"It doesn't matter. See you at court. I bet you got plenty of things to testify against me."

Regina forced an ironic smile and walked out of the room shaking her hips. She wasn't even in the mood to fight anymore. She just wanted to go home and be alone. Get under her cozy blankets and stay there forever, hiding from people and the misery they can bring in her life.

Snow rushed inside Henry's room. Emma raised her sight looking at her mother in surprise.

"Shhh! He's sleeping!"

"Oh I'm sorry. Would you mind stepping outside for a while? I need to talk to you!"

Snow smiled broadly and whispered. Emma frowned looking at the cold smile on her mother's face. She was clearly trying to hide something... probably her feelings. The blond woman nodded her head and stepped outside. David was waiting for her there and as soon as she closed the door snow gasped.

"Can't believe you're asking for full custody!"

"Excuse me? Oh my gosh! She told you?"

Emma cried out in annoyance.

"Yes of course she told us! Poor woman, she looked like a reck!"

"Mum don't worry this is just her way to pretend that she actually cares."

"I think you're wrong this time..."

David interrupted and soften the look on his face.

"What?"

"She's changed emma. And she loves that kid and you more than anything."

"So all of a sudden you take Regina's side! How can you forget all these things she did to you? She made you both suffer and she ruined your family! How can you forgive her that easily?"

Snow rubbed her palms together hesitant and then decided to speak.

"She was just a kid. I was just a kid. We had no idea what we were doing sweetie. A soul in pain is capable to do anything. Even the worst of deeds. Regina was trying to find happiness through disaster. That wasn't of course possible but she had no idea. She was blinded by her darkness and there was no way she could see her mistakes back then. But now she does. And trust me she's regretting her actions every day!"

Emma couldn't believe in her eyes. Her own mother, SNOW WHITE, was actually defending Regina! After everything she had been through because of that witch she was now defending her.

"You're nuts! You know what's your problem mum? No matter how many times someone hurts you you remain innocent and naive! That woman is gonna stab you the very first minute she finds a chance to while you're standing here defending her mistakes! The trail is happening and I'm gonna take full custody! I will not allow a murderer to be around my kid whilst Henry is currently going through all that shit."

David tried to hold Emma's hands but the blond woman pulled away alarmed.

"Emma you're gonna regret this. Deep inside you you know that all you want is a family. That woman can give you what you're desiring."

Emma rolled her eyes.

"Oh goodie! I always wanted to raise Robin's brat! SHE DOESN'T EVEN WANT TO RAISE THAT KID!"

Snow froze looking at emma with a huge question mark on her face. She couldn't recognize her own daughter. That's what pain and misery did to you in the end. They were sucking every little drop of light within the savior. She was a different person now. A woman with a broken heart and broken dreams...

"I don't even recognize you anymore..."

Snow mumbled while a tear rolled down her cheek.

"A mother is always doing what's best for her child. Either I want this or not I know what's best for Henry. And I'm ready to face the consequences of my actions."

The former sheriff replied filled up with with confidence and walked back inside the room. David and snow looked at each other with worry written all over their faces and walked away. Sometimes you gotta let them get hurt or fail in order to learn... and maybe that was Emma's turn to learn from her mistakes...

-To be continued! Love you all!
