Out in Cardiff, Arnold was walking back to his hotel when he realized it was almost dark out and he needed to find the hotel. He soon noticed the Cardiff castle where he was before his sightseeing started, and to his right was the hotel. Soon, he walked right through the front door and went up to his room. He had finished his dinner before the sun went out at half past 8 in the evening.

Back in Pontypandy,

Sam and Station Officer Steele were discussing their next duties while Ellie was home in bed after she had been taken ill. "Right, with Ellie out for the night, it will be just you, me, Penny, and Elvis tonight, Sam." He said as he checked the duty roster.

Sam looked worried, he was more concerned about Arnold when he was talking with his senior officer. So, he decided to ask him. "Er, sir. I know this is not a good time to ask, but do you think Arnold is alright up in Cardiff?"

"Oh, I'm sure he'll be alright, Sam. He's probably safe in the Hotel right now."

"Hm. I'm not too sure about that, sir."

"What makes you say that?"

"I think he is probably out in the middle of nowhere."

"Oh, I think you should give him a call then, Sam."

"Good idea, sir."

Sam went over to the phone to call Arnold. Up in Cardiff, Arnold was just writing in his diary when Sam called on his phone. He wasn't surprised that his fellow firefighter would be checking in to see if he is alright. So he answered it. "Hello, Sam." he called as he picked up the phone.

"Hello, Arnold. I was just checking in to see if you made it to the Hotel."

Arnold was puzzled. He didn't know that Sam was checking in on him if he was already in the hotel. "Don't worry, Sam. I'm alright and I'm safe and sound." he replied as he put away his diary in his backpack.

Sam was pleased to hear that Arnold was safe in the hotel. He then decided to let him get some rest so he can come home tomorrow. "Ok, that's great. Stay safe, Arnold." he said to his new recruit.

"I will, Sam."

"Thanks, Arnold. Bye."

"Bye, Sam."

Sam and Arnold hung up the phone, and Sam returned to where Station Officer Steele was. "Well, what did he say, Sam?" he asked.

"The good news is that Arnold is safe in the Hotel."

"Thank you, Sam. I was starting to get worried for a moment."

Back in Cardiff, Arnold was finishing his evening tea before he went to bed. It was wonderful for him to see the sights of Cardiff. I better go and visit the Cardiff Fire academy tomorrow. He thought. Moments later, Arnold stood up from the chair in his hotel room and found his pyjamas so he could get ready for bed.

Back at the Fire Station, Sam was walking up to the kitchen when he noticed Penny was taping up Elvis' arm with a bandage. He was surprised to see his firefighter injure himself at the Station. Sam walked over and he sighed "What happened here?" he asked.

"Sorry, Sam. I was making some tea for all of us when all of a sudden, the mug fell and broke leaving pieces flying into me, then I picked all of them up and now it was red."

Penny was not surprised that Elvis would be terrible at balancing the tea cups on top of each of them. "Oh, Elvis. Sam was just coming in to find out that you just went crazy with tea tonight."

"I know, Penny."

Sam looked at them, then at the mess Elvis left. He then turned back to his firefighters. "Elvis, I think you need to relax for a moment. Maybe next time, ask one of us for help with the mugs, ok?"

"Right-o."

Penny was soon finished with the bandage for his arm. She was planning to remind him to have Sam help him next time"There we go, Elvis. I wouldn't use that arm for balancing right now. Maybe you should let Sam help, Ok?"

"Ok, Penny."

Back in Cardiff, Arnold had been asleep after he finished his tea last night. It was 8 in the morning when he woke up to the hotel phone ringing with breakfast options. He went to find the menu so he could order some breakfast after he had cleaned himself after a long night's sleep. It had been a long wait since Room Service was a bit slow, but he didn't mind. Then he heard a knock on the door. "Room service." the waiter called from behind the door. Arnold opened the door.

"Hi, I have a breakfast order for Mr. Arnold McKinley."

"Yes, that's me. I'm heading back home today. It will be like a 3 to 4-hour bus ride."

"Oh, I say. Where do you head back to?"

"I'm heading back to my home, which is in Pontypandy."

"Ah, I see. Well, here is your traditional English breakfast with some tea."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

Arnold soon waited until he was all set with his breakfast. Then, he enjoyed it while watching Sky News on the TV in the hotel room. As soon as he was halfway through his breakfast, Trevor texted him saying his bus got caught in some mud in Newtown. He groaned as he noticed that he was going to be late going home to Pontypandy. He later packed his bags, set his breakfast down on the return cart outside the lift on the 1st floor. It was time for him to check out. The Hotel Manager came out to complete the check-out process. "Good Morning, Mr. McKinley." He chimed happily.

"A very good morning to you, sir."

"I say, today is Wednesday and you're going to be heading back home, aren't you?"

"Yes, sir. I've had a wonderful time in Cardiff. It was a nice view in the room."

The Manager passed him his hotel bill and showed him where to sign. "Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Here's the bill, and can I have you sign there?" he said.

"Of course."

Arnold signed the paper and he was soon on his way with his bags and the bill for his holiday. "Safe travels, sir."

"Thank you."

As soon as Arnold was outside in the city, he went to find a bus stop for a ride back to Pontypandy. He was now worried that he might never make it home in time to see his fellow firefighters in Pontypandy.

Back at the fire station, Sam was the only one in the Station garage when Ellie walked in much better after yesterday. "Morning, Sam." she called.

"Hello, Ellie. I can see you're already feeling better than yesterday."

"Yes, Sam. I was home yesterday with a fever, but I feel better now."

"That's great, but I think Elvis could use a hand in the kitchen, he accidentally hurt his arm last night."

"Ok, Sam."

Soon, Ellie walked up to the kitchen while Sam finished polishing Venus after a long drive on the forest trail. Up in Cardiff, Arnold was still trying to find a bus stop for the bus to Pontypandy. He realized he had gone the wrong way. Oh, which way am I going? He asked himself.

He pulled out the map to soon find out that he was near the Cardiff Fire Academy where Sam went to begin his job as a firefighter. So, he went over to see if they could help. "Er, excuse me." he said as he walked towards the building.

"Yes, can I help you?" said the Station Officer.

"I was wondering if you can help me find the nearest bus stop to Pontypandy."

"Oh, yes. I know how to get there. Do you have a map?"

"I do. Here we go."

"Right, what I would do is go to the Tesco up ahead, then turn right heading for the National Museum, then make a left past the Cardiff castle behind the Hotel, and then the nearest stop will be at the railway station."

Arnold was so confused, he didn't have time to write it down. So, he had to trust in his knowledge to find his way to the bus stop. "Thank you, sir." he said.

"You're welcome. Just one more question."

'Yes, what is it?"

"Do you know Fireman Sam?"

Arnold was surprised, he had no idea that he would know Sam. Then he realized that Sam went to the academy. "Yes, I do know Fireman Sam." Arnold replied

"Really?"

"Yes, he is the leading firefighter in Pontypandy."

"Wow, I didn't realize that he can become a leading Firefighter that fast."

"Yeah. well, I joined him when we were hit by a hurricane."

"Whoa, I did not see that coming. Ok. well, when you see him, tell him I said hi."

"Will do, and thank you for your help."

"No Problem."

And soon, Arnold left to find the bus stop out by the railway station. He didn't realize that he had to navigate through alleys that are too narrow. It was going to take him a long time to get home.

Back in Pontypandy,

Sam had to finish organizing Station Officer Steele's office when his senior officer walked in. "Good Morning, Sam." he said as he went to his desk.

"Hello, sir. I finished cleaning your office. Arnold will be coming home today, but I haven't heard from Trevor yet."

"Well, I hope Firefighter McKinley can find his way home with his instincts."

"Me too, sir. Me too."

Station Officer Steele went to read his messages from HQ and Sam went back to doing his chores.

Outside in the streets of Cardiff, it had been about 2 hours since Arnold left the hotel with a stop at the Cardiff Fire Academy. He was soon coming to a conclusion that he was lost in an alley. Ugh, I hope I can find my way home soon. This map isn't working. He muttered to himself. Arnold was still looking at his map when he didn't see a can on the pavement where he was. He soon began to lose his balance and fall hard to the ground.

"Ow, I think I sprained my ankle." he muttered in pain.

Arnold then realized he couldn't put his weight on it. He had to keep going, but before he could continue the journey, he needed to find something to support him until he could rest. He looked to find a stick to help him continue the journey, but he realized he can't leave without his bags. So, he went back to stay where he was before. He sat down and kept his ankle up while he waited for help. He reached for his phone, but then he realized it had run out of battery from last night.

Down in Pontypandy,

Sam saw Trevor pull into the Station, but without Arnold. He walked over to ask him what happened. "Hello, Sam." called Trevor as he opened the bus door.

"Hello, Trevor. What brings you here today?"

"You haven't seen Arnold, have you? He wasn't at the hotel after I texted him that I was running late."

Sam paused to find Arnold around his Area. He soon realized that his fellow firefighter was lost.

"That's strange, he should've been back here 20 minutes ago." he said to himself.

"Trevor, can you call in the Volunteer firefighters? I'm going out to Cardiff to look for him."

Sam rushed into the Station to find Station Officer Steele in his office area. "What's the rush, Sam?" he asked.

"No time to explain sir, Arnold is missing in Cardiff."

Station Officer Steele paused for a moment, he was soon beginning to realize that his new recruit was missing. He went into the Office to sound the alarm, then he grabbed the microphone to scramble the other Firefighters to the vehicles.

"Arnold is missing in Cardiff."

He put down the microphone to call Tom and Cardiff emergency services to organize a search party.

"Sam, I'll call Tom Thomas to get Wallaby 2 in the air. You go ahead on Mercury."

"Roger that, sir."

Sam went down to the garage to plan with the other firefighters. He soon met up with everyone in their search and rescue uniforms. "Penny, you take Venus. Ellie, you take Jupiter. Elvis, you search the lakes on Hydrus, I'll go ahead on Mercury. Don't forget to bring Saturn." he said as they ran to their assigned vehicles. As soon as they were ready to go, Mercury led the way to Cardiff while Tom was in the air with Wallaby 2.
