Just like magic- part 4

power214063 asked for a oneshot of a 4th instalment following on from Ch1859 "Just like magic- part 3" where Emma outgrows being scared of the dark.

Snow tossed and turned in her bed. It had been half an hour since she had "accidentally" taken away the enchanted torches from Emma's room. Why wasn't she screaming bloody murder? Normally just a couple of minutes in and Emma started wailing. Then, being responsible parents, seeing as the torches were "missing" Snow and Charming would just have to take their baby girl into bed with them for the night.

"Snow, I can't sleep with you tossing and turning like that." Charming complained. He turned over himself to face Snow. "What's wrong?"

"Emma." Snow sighed. "I took the torches out her room because I wanted some night time snuggles…"

"Snow." Charming sighed with a smile.

"Oh don't act like you haven't misplaced them yourself a few times." Snow said with a smile. "Anyway, it's been half an hour and she hasn't so much as whimpered. Do you think she's ok?"

"Only one way to find out." Charming told her, getting out of bed. Snow got out eagerly beside him. She had been wanting to go to Emma's nursery for the last twenty five minutes, but didn't want to look too protective. Together, the parents walked hand in hand to Emma's nursery. The sight they saw certainly surprised them. Emma was sound asleep.

"Well," Charming whispered, wrapping his arms around Snow "looks like our little princess isn't afraid of the dark anymore. No more night time snuggles for us."

"Yeah." Snow sighed, pouting. "She's a big girl now."
