Emma in the middle- part 12

neongenesisevang asked for a oneshot of another instalment of the "Emma in the middle" series (the last being Ch2605) with Emma talking to her siblings about their birthday presents and parties. She finds they had better deals than her. Emma didn't have a birthday party for her last birthday and, because her parents don't know her as well, they think they got her the perfect gift because they don't know her likes.

Can I ask, what on Earth makes you all enjoy this miniseries so much? Especially when Snowing aren't portrayed the way I normally portray them? Just curious.

As some of you will have seen on Twitter, there are less chapters than I would have hoped today. Due to the terror attacks last night (which claimed a member of the Once family) I spent the day with my dog, reminding myself that it is important to spend time with those we love. I just haven't felt much like writing, my heart is broken for all those affected.

Emma sat glumly in the corner of the room. How was it fair? Neal had a proper party thrown for him the previous evening with all his friends. There were clowns, a jester, enough cakes to sink a ship…now he had a mountain load of presents? Emma hadn't even had a party for her last birthday. Her mother had been away with her sister attending an event to help her find her suitor, and her father had been with Neal as he attended training. Sure, they had thrown her a family event when they came home, but she still never got her own party. Her presents had been boring as well. Emma was not a selfish or spoiled child, despite her royal upbringing, but that didn't she wasn't disappointed when she opened her gifts to find a dollhouse and some uniquely carved dolls. The looks on her parents' faces said it all. They thought they'd given her the perfect gifts. They didn't know her at all. How could they? They never spent any time with her.

So yes, Emma would spend her time at her little brother's birthday party sulking, but who could blame her? Who wouldn't sulk in her situation?
