So yeah upon playing Awakening again I felt like kind of doing an after story from my playthrough so that was my reasoning for this but later I plan on making some sad moments too not sure on all the details yet
Severa was walking alone in the busy streets of Ylisstol, dodging the excited crowds. " Huh, I wonder what's going on today? It's more busy than I'm used to." She thought while being slightly annoyed. She is happy that this Ylisstol was busy though, after all in her timeline the city was one of if not the only safe places for humans thanks to her and her friends' hard work. Back in her time, the city wasn't as relaxed as it is here but to be fair it wasn't attacked by Grima or the risen all the time. It bothered her a lot because of the attacks she could never find anything nice to buy, all the resources were set aside for defense from that which threatened the city. However, a boy bumped into her, knocking her out of her thoughts, " Hey what was that for kid!" she said in her cold and rude persona that she often uses.
"I'm sorry miss but the moonlight fair will be starting tonight, I'm helping my mom set up our food stall!" said the younger boy, after apologizing he ran off. Well she at least thought he was younger than her, he seemed to be around the age of 15 maybe. Huh maybe just three years younger, wish I could've been like that when I was his age, but now not the time for those kinds of thoughts, I still need to get something! She continued to walk towards the gift shop known for having weird little trinkets and such. Also to no surprise, she had found a merchant she was used to seeing.
" Welcome to my shop, just know my deals can never be beat!" said the charismatic redhead standing behind the counter. Yeah save it Anna she thought but then decided to keep that to herself. After all, one of her relatives is a pretty impressive fighter, but with so many of those redheads everywhere they can get kind of tedious. Severa walked down the alse of what appeared to be random junk in an attempt to find a gift, but she couldn't find anything for Owain. With him being him I could just get anything and then he will find something crazy to do with it, but even then I want it to be something special she thought as she put her hand on her chest. " Oh searching for a lover huh!"
"GAH!" Severa screeched as Anna appeared next to her. " Where did you come from! Also it's none of your business, and shouldn't you be watching the entrance gawds." She said as she flipped one of her violet twintails demissly towards the merchant.
" Ah, don't fear my sister is watching the front but I'm here to help you! So is your budget and what are his interests? Like for example, my fiance Jake, loves bows, horses, and just about anything pretty or cute. That last one is the reason I have to keep an eye on him, but even if he did cheat I would never be able to leave him." Anna said in a sweetly voice as she started to swoon and blush.
After watching Anna's display of affection, Severa speaks up " Well he's pretty eccentric, but he likes writing, and swords think you can help me out?"
" Hm, well swords aren't sold here and we don't have writing supplies but we do have this." She said triumphantly handing Severa a silver pen case with writing on it. " I understand it doesn't look like much but it's a magic item, all you need is a mage and you can inscribe whatever you want for that special someone. I'll even give you a huge deal of a thousand gold!"
Severa reached to her waist to open her coin purse and began to count how much money she had. She knew she had more than enough because she had been working at a fashion store that she tended to visit since Grima's defeat. " Here, anything else or are we good?"
" Nope I was done counting when you first opened your purse, pleasure doing business with you!" She said with a large smile as Severa walked away those women are scary when it comes to money she thought as she walked out the shop, now I wonder if daddy can help me with this? She smiled at the thought of her dad, Robin, helping her out as she headed towards the countryside her family owned.
She had been strolling pleasantly towards the home, while it seemed remote it was only a short walk. Before she knew it she had encountered the modest home, it had an iron gate with an emblem that resembled wings, an addition her mom wanted, the actual house was a nice wooden home that didn't seem too unique. It had a large stable for Cordelia and Morgan's Pegasi, and a large building attached to the back that acted as Robin and Morgan's study. As per usual she went to check to see if the pegasi were in their stable. " Alright Ceada are you here you stubborn horse with wings?" she calls for her mother pegasus. Instead she gets her sister's version that calls to her, "Alright geez, here eat this." she holds out her hand with an apple, as the pegasus eats she takes a quick minute to groom her. She knows that Morgan sometimes when in deep research or just trying to beat their father in strategy will forget to brush her until late at night. After letting the pegasus eat she gave a loving pat to it and left the stable and walked into her home.
" MOM, oh wait it's just sis." Said her younger sister Morgan as she popped her head out of some random hiding place causing Severa to drop her shopping bag
" GAWDS, Morgan what the hell are you doing hiding next to the door, you almost killed me!"
" Well mom said she would try to be home early so we can ride together but I guess she's still super busy." She said dejectedly as she then sat down on a chair and pulled out a strategy book and began reading. " By the way, you should've seen your face!" she said with a giggle that was followed by a quick hit to the head. " Ow! I already deduced that head trauma won't bring back my memory!"
" Well maybe it'll teach you something about messing with your big sister." Severa said flicking her twintails behind her. " Anyway where is dad? I need some help."
" He had to head out to help Lon'qu with something, can I help though?" She said, putting down her book and looking at her sister eagerly. Even though she is silly, and annoying sometimes she does bring a certain cheer to any environment. Plus she is still pretty young, might as well let her keep having fun.
" Well here's the thing, so you know how me and Owain areā¦" She trailed off with a furious blush
" You mean couple?"
" Yeah, well tomorrow is our one year anniversary and I bought this case for him, but I need someone who uses magic to inscribe it. As almost everyone knows magic isn't really my thing so I was going to have dad do it but could you help me please Morgan?"
" Sure give it here." She delicaly grabbed the case and narrowed her eyes as she inspected it, " Simple enough, just a quick inscription spell. They aren't used too often but I should have a book in the study." She said as she hopped the chair and walked towards the back of the house. Severa noticed how Morgan flips a switch everytime she needs to do a task, going from childish to scarly adult almost immediately. After opening the door and entering into the large cozy room she used another spell. " It's a new one me and dad made to find things faster, ah there." Morgan then grabbed a neatly placed book with a blue cover. Upon opening it the magic began to spill out and the spell started. "Alright, what would you like to inscribe?" she said looking at her older sister.
" To Owain, the chosen one of my dreams." She said blushing furiously, she knew she would have to say it but still it was so damn embarrassing to her.
After saying that the case then showed her exact phrase in a nice and formal writing. Looking proud of herself Morgan hands the case to Servera with a sly smile, " Sis that's a little cheesy you know that right. Sweet but cheesy." She said as she dodged another swift attack from her sister.
" Whatever thank you Morgan, come get me when dinner is ready." She said as she sprinted upstairs to her room and shut the door holding the newly inscribed case to her chest. I can't wait to see him tomorrow! She thought as she gently placed the case back into a gift bag she also bought earlier. She then took out her hair ties and began to brush her hair, she often finds herself taking care of her hair or shopping to deal with her anxiety. However no matter how much combing she does it doesn't seem to relive it today. Alright I have an idea as she then ties her hair back into twintails and heads out to the stables.
" Going for a flight?" Askes a familiar redhead.
"What does it matter, Morgan?"
" Jeez, touchy now aren't me, well have fun!" She said cheerly despite her sister's harshness.
Severa leaves the house with a sigh and opens the stable and places a saddle on her sister's pegasus, " Alright Ceada, are you ready?" As if to answer her the pegasus stretched its wings ready to fly. " Alright then, LETS GO!" She said with excitement. Before she knew it she was soaring through the sky. Not knowing if the enjoyment is something in her blood or if she grew to love it herself, but she loves to be in the air. " Hey you ready? Wanna do a dive bomb?" immediately after the words leave her mouth she and the stead rapidly descend.
" So Severa, why is your hair so messy? Normally it's well kept." asked a man with messy violet hair in between bites of his dinner. " Also Morgan, good job on this meal! If you keep up this pace you might even catch up to your mother's skill!" he said with a chuckle
" Yeah right dad, nothing can ever beat mom's cooking!" Morgan said beaming with pride from the complement.
" No Morgan you shouldn't sell yourself short, this meal is almost divine. I'm proud of you." Cordelia said to her younger daughter as she finished her meal. "However, Severa are you ok? Your father is right, it's normally so well kept it makes many even envious." she asked with concern in her voice.
" I'm fine, just had to blow off some steam!" Severa said as she left the table barely touching her food and dashing to her room, before they knew they heard a familiar sound of her door being slammed.
"Was it something I said?" Cordelia asked slightly hurt, " I guess I never be the mother she wants."
" Darling you know how she can be, also tomorrow is a special day for her. She is probably just anxious about it." Robin said as he gathered the plates and began to wash the dishes, " Hey, Morgan please take this tome to the study."
"Sure Dad!" As Morgan left the room Cordelia sighed
"What's up?" he asked as he continued to wash
" Well I can't help but wonder if our daughters are handfuls huh?" She said with a smile
" To me all of you are handfuls," as Robin said this he spied his wife beginning to pout " But I would never trade any of this for anything my love." He said as he took her slender hands into his and shared a quick kiss with her
" AHEM! Am I interpreting something?" Morgan said causing her mother to blush madly and her father to laugh at his wife's bashfulness
