Ghosts- part 2

Alex asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch760 "Ghosts" where Charming shows Emma he is spraying the "potion" and she seems relieved. Snowing wonder if this is how she would have been with monsters under the bed if they had raised her.

"Ok Emma." Charming said, brandishing his bottle of 'supernatural being deterrer'. "I've got the potion. I'm going to go up to the attic and spray it around, just to make sure there isn't any ghosts." He promised her. Snow smiled behind Emma, this was so adorable.

"Maybe you should put your arm up there." Emma said. She still wasn't convinced there wasn't something up there. As she had already pointed out, Storybrooke was already home to a werewolf, magic users and the creator of basically a zombie. Why did her parents find it so absurd that there might be a ghost haunting their attic?! Charming just smiled at her.

"I'm sure I'll be ok." He promised her, kissing her forehead. He then clambered up into the attic and sprayed the river water around. "There we go, princess." He said as he came back down. "All sorted, Em. Think you can sleep now?" Emma nodded.

"You both might think it's a load of rubbish, but I think there's a chance. So I'm glad you have protected your infant son from being dragged down the hall by a poltergeist or something. Goodnight." Emma said, going into her room. Snow and Charming managed to hide their giggles until they were down in their own room.

"What exactly was that ghost spray?" Snow asked, after she and Charming were changed into their pyjamas and she lay cuddling into him.

"River water." Charming said chuckling. Snow smiled, she had expected so.

"Do you think…" Snow trailed off, it didn't do well to dwell on 'what-ifs'.

"Think what?" Charming prompted her. Snow swallowed thickly.

"Think- think that's what Emma would have been like as a child? With monsters under the bed and things?" Charming smiled.

"I don't know, but I'm sure I would have found an equally effective monster spray." Charming answered. Snow smiled, leaning over and kissing him.

"I'm sure you would have." She sighed happily. She raised an eyebrow at him. "I think ghost hunters are supposed to be rewarded for their bravery?" She asked. Charming's smile widened as his hands crept up to Snow's waist.

"Well, I certainly wouldn't say no…"
