Chapter 2- I don't understand alcoholics

Yes it is I, GoldenSlayer218, and I am writing this before I have written the chapter. I have an interesting writing process, that being I don't know what the hell I'm doing. I have ideas that I keep in my head, but mostly I write what comes to mind and go with the flow. So I hope you like it. Thank you Yesse2362, Anonymously96, and Goddess of Eclipses for the reviews. It means a lot!

"This is really good wine! I can't- can't believe I've never tried this before! I mean this is good- good wine. Mr. D you have out- out done yourself this time." I said out loud, with a bit of word slurring. I was lying in the sand next to the best camp director in the world, Dionysus. How did I get here? How long had I been here? Right the party, that's what happened.

Mr. D was still passed out on the sand. His pot belly looks like a real nice pillow! I could just lay my head down on it for a while, take a quick nap. My girlfriend, whatever her name is, wouldn't miss me. I could chill on the nice pillow for a bit. I had had a long day, filled with good times and wine. Oh and I had sex with that one girl. That was pretty cool. "HAHAHAHA MR. D I'M COMING IN WEEEEE!" and I quickly jumped onto his belly. He didn't even make a move, just continued on snoring. I made myself at home on my new pillow, Gods know I deserve a good sleep.

Time Skip

Something is wrong. I didn't wake up because of myself, something woke me up. I lean up and look around. It is still dark out, and Mr. D must have left who knows when. That's when I hear it, the camp horn, and sounds of fighting. Metal clanging and lots of shouting.

I quickly get up out of the sand, but I stumble and fall down. "Oh no I'm still drunk. That's bound to make fighting interesting." I get up slower this time, grab my trusty pen in my hand, and start making my way to the fighting. The walking was not in a straight line of course, and I may have fallen down another time.

I get into the camp, I see no one, but the sounds are louder. So I continue on my way up Half-Blood Hill. That's when I see the whole camp fighting waves of monsters. What they are doing here is beyond me. "Maybe the fates would know." I spit out. Then I chuckled to myself for no reason.

A person grabbed my arm suddenly. It's that one small dude, Jason. "Hey Superman how's it going?" I question.

A look of outrage shows on his face. "How's it going? Percy are you out of your mind? We need you man! Those monsters showed up out of nowhere! I think there may be a Titan somewhere but I'm not sure where, so watch out!" Then he dashed back into battle, hacking and slashing, very greek like. Maybe we have rubbed off on him too much.

I uncap my pen, and stumble my way into a monster, who shoves itself onto my sword. Must not have seen it. I look around again, extremely disoriented. So many shapes, and colors, and movements, it's all way too much. I hold my hand to my head, which hurts extremely bad. I lock onto a hellhound. Should be easy enough. It sees me and makes a lunge at me. I stick my sword out and the hellhound notices but it can't correct mid-air. It bursts into yellow dust. Dang I'm getting lucky right now.

"Like a shish-ka-bob!" I yell out, and find my next target, but the target found me first. A cyclopes picks me up from behind, then turns me so I am looking at him. I try to break out of his grip, but holy gods he is strong.

"Haha! The savior of Olympus is mine!" He then headbutts me, and OW THAT HURT! But then he too bursts into yellow dust and I fall to the ground right on my head. Someone must have killed the Cyclops. My head is taking a real beating today, and being drunk doesn't help. What are the odds that monsters attack on the night I get drunk. It probably isn't a coincidence, something must be going on.

I try to get up off the ground, but find I can't, until a beautiful girl helps me up. "Percy are you alright?" The blonde girl asks me. Annabeth! I remember her name now! That wine must have been extremely strong to make me forget Annabeth's name, Hera couldn't even do that when she wiped my memories.

"I'm in tip top shape babe. My head feels like it probably looks to you." I try to focus on the left one of her, as I see two. Left Annabeth makes a face.

"Yeah it doesn't look good, Seaweed Brain. But look around, the monsters are thinning! We nearly got it." She says excitedly.

I start touching the bump on my head with my right hand, and make the ok symbol with my left. "Great." I gasp out.

"Ok Percy you need a doctor badly. Stay there, don't die, I'm going to go try to find Will." Then she ran away, in hot pursuit of my savior. I stay crouched on the ground, and try to regain my composure. This battle isn't going well for me, but it's going well for the camp. They seem to have slaughtered the monsters, while also taking very few casualties.

The camp can handle the rest of the battle. I'm too hammered and hurt to do anything useful. I will just wait here until Annabeth gets back with Will. And speak of the devil, there she is. She's pulling Will through the battle to get to me. I look at her and we make eye contact, but then Annabeth looks up above my head and stops dead in her tracks, fear in her eyes. But I don't see anything dangerous going after her?

"Percy behind you!" Annabeth yells out across the battlefield. I don't move, my wasted brain can't compute what she is saying. She may have well have been talking to a stone because I didn't move fast enough to get out of the way. I then feel an amazingly awful pain in my gut, and I look down startled. A pointy tip is sticking through my stomach. A sword point!

"The camp wasn't our target sea scum, you were." A voice says into my ear. Who that was I have no idea. The sword pulls out of my stomach and I fall back onto my knees, before falling completely over. That is when everything starts to get very hazy, and I have no clue what happens next. All I know is one word, four letters, and one syllable. Pain.

This is the first POV switch, so from now on when I switch perspectives I will let you know.

Jason POV

Man, I have never seen a group of monsters get so badly annihilated. The camp was making these monsters our b*tches. Me, Piper and Leo were a devastating trio. Monsters actually started avoiding us, and we had to seek them out to run a sword through them. But then everything turned into a mess.

I heard Annabeth's scream, and looked around the battlefield. The first lights of day were coming through, so it was easier to see. I didn't see her, but I saw the gigantic figure with his sword through my friend. My gaze hardened, and a storm started gathering above. New Yorkers will remember this storm, but I will always try to forget it.

I let out a hound-ish growl, and started moving towards the Titan, who I am yet to identify. Thunder rumbles in the sky with every step I take, I have never been this angry before. I don't care what gets damaged in this storm, but this Titan will pay for gutting Percy. I am now a 3 point shot away from the Titan, and I stop.

"Identify yourself, before I kill you Titan. I have beat Krios, I assure you will fall as well." I growl out, and lightning strikes in the distance. The trees are swaying violently in the wind, and rain is currently coming down like it would in a shower. Annabeth is being held back by Piper and Clarisse, who is trying to run to Percy. She is sobbing extremely hard. It is very heartbreaking. Piper also has light tears, or rain, on her face, and Clarisse is just staring stony eyed at Percy's body.

"Jason Grace, I haven't had the privilege to come in contact with you yet! I am Hyperion. I have been trapped in a tree for the past few years, but you foolish demigods think that would actually hold me back for long? HA! You're Gods will take notice of the commotion here soon, but I will take you down with me demigod." Hyperion sounded out.

I don't need to kill Hyperion, all I need to do is hold out for a few minutes until the Gods get here. I lock eyes with the Titan and start floating up into the air. I will try and lead him away from Percy's body, so if he is still alive he can get medical attention. He also floats up into the air, and we prepare for aerial combat.

It is in these most dire circumstances that I revert back to my hard wired Roman training. Which isn't as good as the Greek's for single combat, but it is what I know best, and what I do without thinking. My goal is just to last for a tiny bit, so hopefully we can waste time gauging each other, rather than fighting. I will let Hyperion make the first attack.

This turns out to work in my advantage. We hover in spitting distance away from each other, making small jabs but nothing serious, trying to get a feel for each other. I'd say we did this for like a minute, and I doubt the gods would take more than 3 minutes to get here. Despite how movies depict certain fight scenes, battles are often short, you either win or you lose or run away.

"Arghh you coward!" Hyperion snarls, obviously realizing my strategy. I smirk and more thunder rumbles. This time he starts to attack for real, making several slashes and feints at me, which I parry or dodge them all. Then after I parry the last attack, I dive down below him, and try to strike at his feet from underneath him. He just hovers up in the air higher. I also start flying up higher and he starts going higher as well. So we just keep on getting higher and higher in the air, him trying to defend beneath him while I attack him.

We reach the clouds, but I don't follow him into them. That would leave me at a disadvantage, because I don't have godly senses that allow me to see where he is. So I hover down a few meters, waiting for him to come out of the clouds. I estimate 30 seconds have passed, half way done.

Then I feel a kick on my back, it startles me, and I turn around. Hyperion must have come out of the clouds behind me. He makes a slash at me, and I narrowly jump back. His sword still manages to make a light slash mark on my chest, which will probably scar. It isn't fatal though, just hurts a ton. First blood.

I then start flying away from him, hoping I can buy more time. An idea pops into my head. I suddenly make a maneuver where I stop suddenly, and fly down a tiny bit. I then stick my Gladius out above me like a batter in baseball. Hyperion doesn't expect this, and doesn't get out of the direction of my sword in time. He flies right over the tip making a gash all the way down from his chest to his knee.

"Fancy move demigod. Very stupid, but it somehow worked." He then makes wild, unpredictable attacks at me. A few meet their mark. One I parry, and knocks him out of his rhythm. I see an opening and take it. I make a thrust but it just bounces off of his armor. I am momentarily stunned. He wipes the rain off of his face, and smirks. He summons a ball of light and sends it straight at me. I can't dodge in time and it hits me straight in the chest.

I am sent flying back into the ground at a high speed, right where the battle was. Thankfully no campers were in the way of my fall. I land on my back, staring up at the sky, looking at a shining Hyperion, from my small crater.

"Gods, Jason? The other Gods should be here any moment now. I can't believe you held out that long. I would have helped but I had to stabilize Percy. Here I'll work on you now." A God I recognized as Apollo said. Right when he finishes talking I see 3 Gods flash in the air around Hyperion. My father, but not really since it is Zeus not Jupiter, Poseidon, and Athena.

I don't pay attention to the fight anymore, as Apollo tries to heal me to the best of his abilities. Which is very high since he is a healing God. "My… chest… burns." I wheeze out, finding it is hard to talk.

"Holy- Jason you're gonna have a gnarly looking scar when this one is over brother. Here, put your head on this pillow, and relax. Doctor Apollo got you covered." I did just that, and quickly passed out.

Annabeth POV

When Apollo was done healing my boyfriend, I held Percy in my arms. Apollo assured me he wasn't dead, for now. I have stopped crying for now as well, though I presume more would come when I'm able to get the full Doctors news. I held Percy for probably 15 minutes, just running my hand through his hair, touching his face, and staring at his bandages. Then I saw a battle bruised Poseidon come in right next to me. He had a black eye, and scorch marks on his hands. I looked up at him, and he looked down at us, and got down on one knee. He ran his hand along the bandage on Percy's stomach.

"I have some news Annabeth, darling, and you won't like it." His face looked grim. The storm had been cleared up for a bit now, and I was soaked. I'm sure people could see through my shirt but that was not even on my mind right now.

"What is it Lord Poseidon?" I asked, expecting the worst.

"Perseus doesn't have long to live according to Apollo." I immediately felt more tears coming into my eyes. I know what he was going to say next though.

"You are going to make him into a God aren't you?" I choked out. I'm a daughter of Athena, I'm supposed to be perceptive.

"It is the only way. Either this or we let him die. I realize it is against his wishes, but I have already contacted Sally, and we have decided to make this decision for him, as parents. We have no wish to see him perish." It was true. This was the only circumstance you could turn a person into a God without such a person's consent. It wasn't ideal, and it doesn't happen often.

I nodded. "When?" Sort of vague, but Poseidon knew what I meant.

"Soon. Zeus, Athena, and Hades are currently casting Hyperion into the depths of Tartarus. There is enough time for everyone to say goodbye to mortal Percy. Apollo and I will stand to the side here until it is time to go." Poseidon said. Apollo nodded and they both walked off.

The whole camp was gathered around, so everyone heard. Jason hobbled up first, needing Piper and Leo's help to walk. They all sat around me. Leo spoke first. "Jason is having trouble talking. Apollo says he should be fine in a week though. So me and Pipes will go first." Then Piper spoke.

"Percy, don't forget who you are when you're a God. We are all still your best friends. Nobody you meet on Olympus will change that. Keep your good nature and temper, don't lose it. Hold onto it. I love you Percy." She then kissed his dirty forehead, and stepped back.

"Aquaman, I thought you were amazing before I met you. Just from the stories I heard. You are all the stories say about you and more. So much more. I've never been graced with such a fine Lady as Annabeth here, I don't know how it will work out, but don't forget her. Don't forget us. I'm still a bad boy, and I'll always josh around with you anytime Percy. Keep in touch." Leo said, before also stepping back.

Jason stared at Percy for a few moments. "Percy…" He gasped out, before smacking the ground. Piper and Leo picked him up before walking away. I didn't even notice, but I've had small tears running down my face the whole time.

Gradually, campers came up to me and Percy. Most were quick, just saying goodbye. Some said they would miss him, and others spoke of what he did for them. I liked those the best. Percy is such a selfless man. There is a reason he has the respect of Artemis, and a few hunters who are wise enough to see good in a man and not be blinded by their rash hatred. My favorite story was from a young camper, about Percy's age when he came to camp. 12 years old, maybe a little younger.

The boy recited a short story from his first few days at camp this summer. It went a little like this. "Percy Jackson, I don't know if you remember my name or not. There was only a brief moment earlier this summer when you talked to me. I had heard the stories about you around the campfire and you sounded like Hercules with a good personality. That's how I describe you. When you spoke to me, it was during training. I was getting frustrated at the basics of the sword. I couldn't understand it, and you helped me. You fixed how I was holding the sword, and my stance all within 5 seconds. Then you told me to attack a dummy and I did. It wasn't good, but you didn't say anything mean. You led me through my attack to the point I could do it on my own. That saved my life Percy Jackson. Today that saved my life. I thank you for that. I wish you could teach me more."

I was bawling by the end of the story. And I continued bawling until all the campers had said nice words to the unconscious and dying Percy. There were only about 20 campers dead today. Against the thousands of monsters, that is really good. Doesn't make their deaths and less sadder though. They were way too young. A mortal would look at the cool powers we get, and want to be us. But with the power, there are monsters, and there is evil. I would choose to be a mortal any day. Live my life with Percy, oblivious to the Gods, and the end of the world.

The fates put me and Percy through this pain. Not only are we demigods, we are famous demigods. The fates have put their favor on us, but not in a good way. I may still be alive, but I've lost everything. Percy as a God will have gained everything that he didn't want. The stupid fates treat me and Percy like their play things. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it.

Most of the campers had either gone to their cabins to rest, or clean up the battlefield, or mourn lost friends. So I am basically by myself now. "Percy." I tucked some hair behind his ear and whispered in. "I love you. I always will. I can't stop loving you. We are meant to be together. Fates or no fates. We will find a way for our relationship to continue, no matter the cost. If I'm Bonnie, you're Clyde Percy. Just now you're a godly Clyde that's hot and basically has super powers. I will enlist the help of f*cking Chaos him f*cking self if that is what it takes to be with you Percy. We will get married, have a lot of beautiful babies, and live happily ever after Percy. Just not yet. Not yet." After I finished a speech about my undying love for Percy Jackson, I continued to cry.

Pretty soon after that, Hades flashed in next to me. He came over and patted me on the back, and allowed me to stay there with Percy for a few more moments. Then when I was ready, I nodded to him. He nodded back, and took Percy from me, and flashed out. No words spoken.

I laid in the grass there for a very long time. My clothes were basically ruined. Not that I would ever wear them again anyway. I laid there until Piper came over to me and helped me up. That night I slept in the chair me and Percy had watched a movie in the day before, while Piper slept on a nearby couch. I didn't get any sleep. Nor would I get any for days. I ran over and over again, Percy having a sword pushed through his stomach, in my head. It was basically torture. If I cried I don't remember.

And it is done. A little shorter. About 4k words. Throughout this story I will try to keep chapters at a minimum of 4k words, and a maximum of 8k words. No promises though. The reason why Jason looked weak compared to Hyperion is this, Hyperion is a Titan. Jason is a demigod. It always annoys me when stories have demigods single handedly taking on Gods and Titans. Let's just say that the Titans in PJO weren't full strength. They hadn't been awake for long to gain enough power. In this, Hyperion was awake for PJO, and has been stuck hibernating in a tree. He got to near full strength, grouped up some monsters, and sook out Percy for revenge. The Gods killed him because it was 3v1. In the next chapter you will see the process of Percy becoming a God. This chapter was how. If you want an approximation on when you will see updates, I'm aiming for every weekend, maybe every other weekend. Thanks for reading and please leave a review! That is all.
