Leave- part 2
A guest asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch432 "Leave" where Neal and Emma are brought back to the palace.
Snow and Charming chuckled to themselves as they watched their children march off furiously into the palace. Well, Emma furiously. Neal more with his tail between his legs.
"How very dare we tell them off for taking cake before dinner." Charming joked. Snow smiled, leaning back against him.
"I know. What terrible parents we are." She joined in. She leaned back against Charming as he wrapped his arms snugly around her. "Do you think we will ever see our children again?"
"We can only hope, my love." He said, laughing. He turned and walked over to Rosie's crib. She was looking curiously at her parents, clearly wondering what was so funny. "Well, it's just as well we have you to still be heir, huh my little princess?" Charming cooed to the one-year-old. Rosie kicked her legs and giggled in delight as Charming blew raspberries on her belly. He carried her back over to the bed, where Snow was already waiting.
"Do you want a bedtime story, my little love?" Snow asked, stroking Rosie's cheek. "I suspect your buba and sissy will be here very soon to listen as well, but we can start without them…"
Sure enough, fifteen minutes into Snow and Charming weaving a magical tale for little Rosie, Emma and Neal showed up with the head guard, Victor, ushering them in. Victor had a major soft spot for the royal children, it had been him who had shadowed them into the forest, and him who had helped them back out when they got cold, hungry and lost.
"Sorry to interrupt bedtime, Your Majesties. The Prince and Princess got a little lost exploring the garden and lost track of time." Victor repeated Emma and Neal's little fib, giving Snow and Charming an amused smile.
"Oh, I see, how very dreadful for them. Thank you for helping them find their way home, Victor." Charming said. The guard bowed, leaving Emma and Neal with their parents.
"What an adventure you two must have had." Snow said, coming over. "I suspect you won't be 'exploring the garden' again any time soon, will you?" Snow said, fixing them both with a stern look. The children shook their heads. They had learned their lesson. "Good. Now, why don't daddy and I help you both get ready for bed and you can have some story time with us?" Emma and Neal nodded enthusiastically. Their parents told the best stories!
Another few minutes later, and the three children were tucked up in their parents bed, drifting off as Snow and Charming weaved them magical tales of wonder to guide them into Dreamland. They agreed to just leave the children where they were for the night. After all, they might have lost Emma and Neal due to their little misadventure. What a terribly close call it had been.
