Piper's POV

Ding. A text from dad.

Hey sweetie, can you and the Demigods meet me in the studio at 6?

Sure. What's up?

Well... I'll tell you when you get here. Uh oh. That didn't sound good.

We just finished our tour and we were beaten. Aside from that, we had a news interview later today at 7.

"Hey, Dad says he needs us in the studio by 6," I told Annabeth, Thalia, and Hazel.

Annabeth looked up and said, "He better not need another song again." Annabeth is mostly the one who writes our songs.

"How hard is it?" Thalia asked. Annabeth glared and raised an eyebrow. "And have you tried to sit down and concentrate?"

"Nope, I have ADHD and dyslexia," Thalia pointed out.

"Uh... Thalia? We all do." Hazel said.

"Oh, well Annie's good at stuff like that." Annabeth rolled her eyes.

"Whatever, we should get going," I let the subject drop.

New York

I looked up at our mansion that we all live in. That's where the studio is.

"Feels good to be home," Hazel said.

I pushed open the door to the studio.

"Hey, Dad, Whaddaya want?" We all sat started messing around with instruments, halfway listening.

"Listen, girls," That was a bad tone of voice, "I gotta give it to you straight, you guys have to go back to high school."

I saw Annabeth's eyebrows furrow.

Ok. Just not Goode, right?

"It has to be Goode."

All hell was about to break loose. Thalia's eye twitched and I gripped the drumsticks I had in my hand with a white-knuckled grip.

"And just why, Tristan, must it be that HELL HOLE?!" Annabeth exploded.

"Look, it's just what's best for your popularity right now," Dad tried to sound brave but I could tell he was trembling inside.

"OH! YOU THINK WE NEED TO BE MORE POPULAR?! I COULD WALK OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW AND SOMEONE WOULD RIP OFF MY HEAD AND SELL IT FOR A MILLION DOLLARS!" Thalia yelled.

"DAD! YOU CAN'T MAKE US GO BACK THERE! AND YOU KNOW WHY!" I glared at him.

"Have you even asked our parents?" Hazel asked she didn't yell like the rest of us, but she sounded extremely annoyed.

"Yes, I have all of your parents' consents, actually," Dad said.

"Oh really? Another reason not to go, thanks for clearing that up Tristan." Annabeth smiled sarcastically but it melted off immediately and she walked out of the room muttering, I'm done, so done, just done. We all knew how much she hated her parents.

"Great job, movie star," Thalia said. And she walked out after Annabeth, Hazel following her.

"Dad, you know what people did to us there. You, or anyone else for that matter, can make us go back there," I had to keep my voice from cracking.

"Pipes, I'm very sorry, but..." He trailed off, then said more firmly, "you all are going there, and that's that, decision final."

"Fine, I hope you're happy. But I want you to know, you're hurting my sisters right now," I walked out of the room, ignoring Dad's calls of, Piper! Piper, c'mon!

"We'rere not going back there," Hazel started off

"You're damn right we're not," Annabeth seconded.

"Annabeth, you said it yourself, we need to show how we've grown, we're stronger. We can't let them push us around anymore," I countered.

"Pipes, did you forget that that place is like Hell above ground?" Thalia asked.

Annabeth had been thinking ever since I reminded her of what she said.

"You know what, maybe Piper's right. Maybe we should go back to that school, to rub our fame in their sorry faces, the boys and those bitches," Annabeth suggested, I sent her a grateful look.

Hazel and Thalia pondered this for a moment.

"I'm in," Hazel said at last.

"C'mon, Thals. You know you couldn't live without us," Annabeth said teasingly.

Thalia groaned.

"Fiiiiiiiiinnnee," Thalia said, "But only because you guys couldn't live without me."

"Hey, whatever helps you sleep at night," I said.

"Wait, guys, what if the news finds out? I mean, superstars going to High School?" Hazel worried.

"To Hell if they do! Who cares?" I said.

"Hey, I just thought of an idea for a new song," Annabeth snapped her fingers.

"Oh, yeah? What is it?" Thalia asked.

"Maybe you'll find out at that interview... That's in 30 MINUTES! Oh, gods, we gotta go!" Annabeth looked at her watch.

Dammit! I forgot about the interview!

Wherever it takes place

"I heard you guys had a new song, especially for this interview," The news anchor said.

"Yeah, if you wouldn't mind us singing it..." Annabeth started.

"Of course!" I had a feeling he like Annabeth especially certain... places. Get a life dude.

"Also, you mind if we film this? I'd like to put it on YouTube," Annabeth said, this guy would fall off a bridge to date Annabeth, but not for good reasons.

He nodded madly.

"Thanks," Annabeth's voice was sickly sweet and as she turned away from him and looked at us, she rolled her eyes and made a gagging face.

I, I hope she makes you smile

The way you made me smile I loved your smile, Jason.

On the other end of a phone

In the middle of a highway driving alone

Oh, baby I

I hope you hear a song

That makes you sing along and gets you thinking 'bout her

Then the last several miles turn into a blur, yeah Maybe Drew really is made for you, not me.

I hope you both hear the sparks by the end of the night

I hope you know she's the one by the end of the night

I hope you never ever felt more free

Tell your friends that you're so happy

I hope she comes along and wrecks every one of your plans

I hope you spend your last dime to put a rock on her hand

I hope she's wilder than your wildest dreams,

She's everything you're ever gonna need

And then I hope she cheats

Like you did on me

And then I hope she cheats

Like you did on me

Yeah, babe, I hope she

She shows up in a 2 AM pic from a friend

Hanging onto a guy, and you just ain't him

I hope you stay up all night all alone waiting by the phone You deserve to be let down, you're dating Drew, she's my SISTER

And then she calls

And baby I

I hope you work it out

Forgive and just about forget

And take her on a first date again

And when you lean in for a kiss I hope you fall on your face.

I hope you both hear the sparks by the end of the night

I hope you know she's the one by the end of the night

I hope you never ever felt more free

Tell your friends that you're so happy

I hope she comes along and wrecks every one of your plans

I hope you spend your last dime to put a rock on her hand

I hope she's wilder than your wildest dreams,

She's everything you're ever gonna need

And then I hope she cheats

Like you did on me

And then I hope she cheats

Like you did on me You broke my trust.

I hope it goes, comes all the way around

I hope she makes you feel the same way

About her that I feel about you right now Betrayed, hurt, tortured every day by your face tattooed in my brain.

I hope you both hear the sparks by the end of the night

I hope you know she's the one by the end of the night

I hope you never ever felt more free

Tell your friends that you're so happy

I hope she comes along and wrecks every one of your plans

I hope you spend your last dime to put a rock on her hand

I hope she's wilder than your wildest dreams,

She's everything you're ever gonna need

And then I hope she cheats

Like you did on me

And then I hope she cheats

Like you did on me

Like you did on me

We finished and I noticed that Annabeth was blinking madly, Thalia was biting her lip, and Hazel had her face screwed up weirdly. I immediately wiped my own tears off my face.

We all went and listened to the applause when it died down, Annabeth shouted, "AND THAT'S OUR NEW SONG, 'I HOPE'! THANK YOU ALL!"

More applause, I should get some earplugs or I'll be deaf before I'm 20.

Afterwards

"Dang! Great song, Annie," Thalia patted Annabeth on the back.

"Thanks, but don't call me Annie," Annabeth said.

"I can't wait to see the looks on the boys' face when we show up," Hazel said.

"It'll be good," I said. Though, there was something in my voice that kind of sounded like when your teacher tried to act excited about Calculus or something. Deep down, I knew I didn't want Jason, or any of the boys, to suffer.

And yet, I still wanted to see the looks on Drew, Reyna, Khione, and Rachel's face.

It will be good.
