A bully's threat

Mija asked for a oneshot of Neal (aged 8) being more clingy with his parents than usual, including wanting to sleep in their bed. It turns out, a child of a villain has been bullying him, and told him that their parents will hurt Neal's family.

Sorry guys, I had hoped I'd have more written today, but there have been a couple of factors against me. A) as some of you will have worked out, I work on Saturdays currently, and because it was hot outside, it was a roasty 32 degrees in the room I was working in. Also, Scotland's major issue with heat is that we are very humid. I'm currently sitting at 88% humidity and me no likey :L Sorry guys, I am doing my best to get through requests as quickly as possible!

Snow and Charming were left a little confused, as well as a little anxious. Neal had never been a clingy child. Much like his big sister (as well as both his parents), he was an independent little boy with an adventurous spirit. So when he suddenly started to hover round his parents like a shadow, to the extent that he was even climbing into bed with them each night, they knew something was up. So they sat their little boy down and decided to set things straight.

"Neal, something's upsetting you." Charming said gently, getting straight to the point. Neal shook his head, looking down at the ground. Snow touched his knee.

"We can't help you if you don't tell us." Snow told him. "Let it out. You know we can fix a lot of things straight away, but not if you keep them all bottled up. Neal nodded.

"Alessandro." Neal said quietly. "He's been upsetting me at school." Snow and Charming stiffened. Alessandro was Stromboli's son. He and Neal had rubbed shoulders in kindergarten, but they thought they'd sorted it all out.

"What's been happening, son?" Charming asked him.

"He keeps making me giving him my snack. Now he's saying he's gonna have his dad come hurt you guys because I stopped giving him it. He said it was too late when I tried to let him have it." Snow and Charming were furious.

"Have you told a teacher?" Snow asked. Neal shook his head.

"Ok, well, first thing on Monday, we'll all go into school together and talk to your teacher about it." Snow promised him. Neal looked just as terrified at that idea. "I know bullies tell you they'll hurt you even more if you tell a teacher, but Alessandro isn't ever going to hurt you again."

"And his father certainly isn't going to hurt us, unless he wants to end up in jail with a few icepacks." Charming promised his son. "You did good telling us, buddy. Now we can sort it." He praised him. Neal felt like a giant weight had been lifted off his shoulders. He wished he told them at the time.
