It was the last few days of summer before they all went back to uni, that was all except Sara, they had decided to go out and celebrate by having some drinks at their favourite bar. Sara as she was underage still wasn't able to go, instead she was going with Leo to her parents for tea.

"You sure you're okay with me going out tonight babe?" Grissom asked Sara as he was getting ready.

Sara and Leo were sat on their bed in their comfy clothes.

"Yeah baby, I'll come pick you up later as well so you don't need to get a cab home"

"You are the best, have I told you that lately?" Grissom asked kissing her.

"You tell me everyday but I love to hear it" she said kissing him back.

"No dada, my mama" Leo said pushing him away.

The two laughed, Sara turned to her son and started tickling him.

"Cheeky little monster, aren't you"

"Mamaa, stwp, pwease" the little boy giggled.

Sara cuddled her little boy tightly.

"Okay babe, I'm ready when you are" Grissom said.

"Lets go then sexy" Sara said winking at him.

The trio grabbed their things then left, Sara dropped Grissom off outside the bar he was meeting their friends at.

"Have fun baby, I love you" Sara said kissing him before he got out the car.

"Thanks, I love you too Sar. Bye Leo, see you later and be good for mummy, okay"

"Okay dada, I wove you" Leo said blowing kisses to him.

"I love you too buddy."

Grissom gave Sara a finale kiss before he left and went into the bar. Sara then drove off to her parents house with Leo in the back talking to his teddy.

"Hey dad, hey mum!" Sara said as she entered the house.

"Hey princess, where's my favourite grandson?" Robert said meeting them in the hall.

"Papa, I here" Leo said giggling as ran over to his grandfather.

"There you are" Robert said picking him up and tickling him.

Sara laughed at the pair and asked where her mum was, Robert told her she was in the kitchen finishing dinner. Sara walked into the kitchen to greet her mother while Robert and Leo went to the toy room they had created for the little boy to play in.

"Hey mama" Sara said entering the kitchen.

"Hey sweetie, you okay?"

Sara nodded her head and smiled at her "What you making for dinner then?"

"One of your favourites, Mac'n Cheese"

"Yummy!"

"Would you set the table for me please sweetheart"

"Sure thing Mama!"

Sara set the table for her mother while Laura plated up their dinner, she then made some drinks for them all. Sara came back into the kitchen and helped her mum take the food and drinks into the dinning room.

"I'll go get dad and Leo" Sara said running to the toy room.

"Thanks sweetie"

Sara ran to the toy room and saw her son playing with some toy her parents had bought him, her dad was helping the little boy work the toy.

Sara smiled "Okay you two, dinners ready!"

"Mama" Leo said running over to her and hugging her legs.

Sara picked him up and headed to the dinning room with Robert following behind them. Sara placed Leo in his chair, kissing his forehead before taking her own seat. The family began eating their meal catching up, Leo trying to have a conversation with them as well.

Meanwhile Grissom and their friends all started drinking at the bar, catching up and talking about going back to uni.

"Hey Griss, that girl over there is definitely checking you out" Nick said to him.

Grissom looked over to the girl Nick was talking to and recognised her.

"Oh that's some girl from one of my classes, think her names Tasha" he told him.

"Well she's definitely checking you out bro" Warrick agreed.

"Well I don't care, I got the best looking girl waiting at home for me" Grissom told him, not interested in Tasha at all.

"OMG, Gil that is too sweet" Catherine shrieked, hurting the boys ears.

"Indoor voice babe" Nick told her.

Catherine looked at them apologetically.

As the night went on they all became very drunk and had agreed it was time to call it a night. Grissom had told them he had called Sara and she was on her way just now, the others had all got a cab home. While waiting for Sara, Tasha noticed Grissom standing outside by himself.

"What's a handsome guy like you doing by yourself?" she asked walking up to him.

Grissom looked at her, feeling a bit uncomfortable "I'm waiting on my fiance picking me up"

"Oh, a taken man I see"

"Yeah" Grissom said trying to get her to realise he didn't want to talk to her.

Meanwhile Sara and Leo were sitting on the couch, he was on her lap now changed into his pyjama's and playing with her hair. Laura and Robert were on the other couch, they were all sat watching a movie Leo had picked, ' A Bug's Life', one of his new favourites. Sara's phone began to ring.

"It's Griss, time to pick him up. Thanks for dinner and watching movies with us. We had a good night, didn't we baby?"

"Me had good twme nana, me come bwck soon papa?" Leo asked.

"Of course buddy, anytime" Robert told his granson.

They all said their goodbyes and Sara and Leo headed off to pick Grissom up. As she arrived at the bar she saw Grissom talking with some girl.

"So, you know you're a pretty handsome guy right" Tasha said getting even closer to Grissom.

"Thanks" Grissom said not paying much attention to what she was saying.

Tasha put a hand on his chest moving it up towards his face. Grissom push her hand off of him giving her an annoyed look.

"Can you stop" Grissom said to her.

"I could, but I don't want to" Tasha said as she pulled Grissom by his shirt and kissed him.

Grissom stood shocked for a minute, not knowing what was going on, when reality hit him he pushed her away.

"What the hell are you doing!" he shouted at her.

She winked at him then turned and left. Meanwhile Sara who had seen the watched the whole scene unfold, but couldn't hear what was being said, sat in the car with tears in her eyes. She sat frozen, she couldn't believe she had witnessed Grissom and another girl kissing. Grissom noticed the car and walked over to it angrily.

When he saw Sara he smiled and waved at her, she didn't return the smile.

"Hey baby" Grissom said leaning over to kiss her.

Sara avoided his kiss and started driving. Grissom hadn't realised she had seen Tasha kiss him and was confused. They arrived at the house after a silent drive home, Sara got out the car and grabbed Leo and headed into the house, not saying a word to Grissom still. She placed the sleeping little boy on her bed, she began to pack a bag of her things and some of Leo's.

"Sara, what are you doing?" Grissom asked, still confused.

"Packing, what does it look like" she told him.

"What did I do?"

"You know what you did, god, I can't believe you! I thought you loved us and then you go and kiss some tramp!" Sara shouted.

"Sara that's not what happened! I promise, honey please let me explain to you." Grissom said begging her.

"Go on then, explain!"

"She was checking me out all night but I promise I paid her no attention, then when I was waiting for you she came over and kept flirting with me. I told her to stop but she kept doing it then she kissed me and I promise Sar I didn't kiss her back! I pushed her away! I promise baby. I love you too much to cheat!" he said taking her face in his hands.

Sara shook her head "I don't know what to believe Griss, maybe we need a break"

"Please Sar, believe me. I promise you it didn't mean anything."

He tried to pull her into his arms but she pushed him away.

"No Griss, I'm going to take Leo and go stay with my parents for the night, we need a break"

She walked away from him grabbing Leo and the packed bag, she made her way out to the car.

"Sara please don't do this, I love you!" he said chasing after her.

"I know and I love you too but you hurt me Griss, the fact you didn't say anything in the car as well just makes this worse. I'll drop Leo off to you for a bit tomorrow, I'll see you later" she said getting into the car, tears now falling down her face.

She drove to her parents house, letting herself in with her key. Robert who was sitting in the living room heard the door open and close, he was confused as he knew Greg was already home. He made his way to the door and saw Sara with a sleeping Leo in her arms.

"Sara princess, what's wrong"

Sara broke down, Robert walked over taking his grandson from her and comforting his daughter. They went into the living room where Sara explained to him what had happened between her and Grissom. Leo was still fast asleep in his arms, unaware about anything that had happened.

"Sweetie, it sounds like Grissom done nothing wrong except not tell you straight away, but really, did you give him time to really tell you?" he asked his daughter.

Sara sighed "I guess not but I do think we need a break. I just need time" she explained.

"Okay honey, now why don't you go to bed?"

Sara nodded and made her way to her room, Robert followed and placed Leo on her bed.

"I think you could use his company tonight" he said to her.

Sara nodded and said goodnight to her father. Robert then left, Sara got ready for bed. She then got in and wrapped her arms around her little boy.

During the night Leo woke up.

"Mama, where dada" Leo asked waking Sara up.

He hated not having both his parents with him.

"Daddy's at home baby, now go to sleep. I promise you can see him tomorrow" she said kissing her sons forehead.

"I want my dada" Leo cried.

"I know baby but you can see him tomorrow, we're staying at nana and papa's house, you can have breakfast with Uncle Greggo in the morning. Okay?"

"I want my dada, mama" he continued to cry.

"I know baby, I'm sorry" she said rocking her son trying not to cry herself.

Leo eventually went back to sleep in his mothers arms, Sara on the other hand couldn't sleep. She loved Grissom with all her heart and knew that he'd never cheat on her but she still couldn't get over the fact he never said anything about the kiss.

"Maybe a break from us would be good for a while" she thought to herself, sighing.

A break may do them both good but with Sara hiding a secret of her own she wondered how long this break would last.
