Later on that day the three of them left hospital and returned home, Grissom phoned Sara's family to say they would have to postpone the gathering till the following weekend. He told her family she was okay and not to worry, he hung up the phone before any questions could be asked. Grissom drove them home and made sure Sara was comfy in her pyjamas, tucked in bed with Leo who was in a fluffy Nemo onesie curled up beside her watching 'Finding Nemo'.

Grissom quickly messaged his parents to say he was staying with his family and everything was okay, he would be round the next day to collect his things. He then ordered them a Chinese, while waiting he changed into his own pyjamas, he then cleaned up the house and fed Buddy. When the food arrived he paid for it, got some plates and cutlery and took it all upstairs to find his son and fiance fast asleep.

Grissom laughed and placed everything on the side, he then quickly ran downstairs to grab them all some drinks before returning to the bedroom. He set the drinks down and smiled again at his little family, taking his phone out he quickly took a picture of the sleeping pair. He looked at it and knew in that moment he was definitely the luckiest guy in the world.

Quietly he crawled into bed next to the pair, as much as he didn't want to he knew he had to wake them.

"Sara baby, wake up. Foods here" he said kissing her on the lips softly.

She responded to his kiss and smiled "I could get used to waking up like this"

"Well then I'll just have to do it more often" he winked.

She giggled then kissed him again, she then looked down to see Leo was still asleep. She softly stroked his cheek and whispered to him to wake up.

"Me tired" the little boy moaned as he woke.

"I know baby, but guess what daddy brought us" Sara said feeling guilty she had woken him up, but she knew he had to eat.

"What?" the boy asked with a puzzled expression on his face.

"I brought food" Grissom told him while holding the bag up.

The little boys face lit up "YAY!"

The two parents laughed, Leo was always happy when there was food involved.

Grissom plated the food up on their plates and they all tucked in while watching another movie.

"Dada"

"What's up Buddy?" Grissom asked his son.

Leo had a puzzled look on his face once again.

"Are you cwming home to be wif me and mama? Me no wike you being away. It make me sad and it make mama sad and Buddy. Me want you to be home"

The two parents looked at their son and couldn't help but feel sad, they didn't realise they had hurt their son this much by having time apart.

"Mama cwied a wot when you were gone, me no like mama cwying" Leo explained.

Grissom moved his plate onto the side table and picked his son up, sitting him on his knee.

"I promise you that I will never ever leave you and mummy alone for that long ever again, I'm so sorry you were sad Leo. I promise I will make it up to you and mummy, okay? I promise I'm not going to leave you, ever!" he told his son, kissing his forehead and cuddling him.

Leo smiled and cuddled his father back.

"I wove you dada"

"I love you too Buddy, more than anything."

Sara sat and watched the scene before her, tears rolled down her face. She blamed herself for Leo being upset, she wished she had never reacted the way she did. Grissom noticed her tears, he moved her plate and pulled her into their hug.

"I'm sorry Griss" Sara whispered.

"I'm sorry too baby" Grissom said kissing the top of her head.

"Me wove mama and dada" Leo shouted happily.

Sara and Grissom giggled at their son "We love you too baby, so much"

"Mama, can I twlk to you" Leo said seriously.

"Of course baby" Sara giggled as Leo stood on the bed trying to be all serious while in his Nemo onesie.

"It's a swcret" he told her.

Sara smiled and moved over to her son "Okay, tell me this serious secret then."

Whispering in his mothers ear "no tell dad, you and me attack him and be the twckle monstwr!"

Sara looked at her son and giggled, she nodded her head which made her son jump up and down all excited.

Grissom looked at the two with a puzzled look, he wondered what they were up to.

Sara whispered into her sons ear telling him to jump on his father so he couldn't move and she would start the tickling. Leo nodded and got all excited making Sara laugh.

"Ready?" Sara asked.

"Weady Mama!"

"Go!" she whispered.

Leo ran over to Grissom quickly and jumped on his chest, winding him. Sara moved over and began tickling him along with Leo.

"Hey you two, stop. This isn't fair" Grissom laughed.

"We the twckle monstwrs dada" Leo shouted while laughing and tickling him.

Grissom laughed and began tickling the little boy.

"MAMA, hwlp me!" he giggled.

Sara laughed and grabbed one of Grissom's arms to help her son. Grissom over powered the two and managed to break free, he began his attack on the two of them.

He grabbed Leo and threw him in the air making him squeal.

"Dada, me swrry, me on your team now" Leo laughed as Grissom tickled him again.

"Oi, what about me!" Sara yelled.

Grissom laughed and said "Good boy, lets get mummy!"

The two boys attacked Sara who squealed. Grissom was careful with her and made sure Leo was as well as they both tickled Sara.

"I give up, you's win, please stop" Sara laughed.

"We win dada!" Leo shouted as he jumped for joy.

The two parents laughed at his reaction, Grissom looked at Sara and smiled. He was happy to see her happy, he then leaned over and kissed her softly. As he pulled away her smiled widened.

"Dada, no! My mama! Me kiss pwease mama" Leo said moving between his parents.

Sara laughed and kissed her little boy, cradling him in her arms. Grissom wrapped his arms around them both, for the first time in a few weeks they were all finally happy.

Later that night Grissom and Sara both put Leo to bed after reading him a bedtime story, Sara then went to bed as instructed by Grissom while he cleaned everything away and made sure the house was locked up. When Grissom returned to the bedroom he noticed Sara wasn't in bed, confused he shouted for her.

"Just a sec" she shouted from what sounded like the bathroom.

Grissom wondered what she was up to, he new she had already used the bathroom before they put Leo to bed. He shrugged his shoulders and got into bed, turning the TV on he waited for her.

Sara stepped out the bathroom in a black lace teddy, she saw Grissom hadn't noticed her yet.

She sighed, he was fast asleep.

"Why does he always fall asleep when I do this" she said to herself.

She coughed loudly to try and wake him up, which didn't work. Rolling her eyes she tried again, no response.

"Grissom" she called as she walked closer to the bed, no response.

"GIL" she shouted louder, no response.

She sighed and shouted "GILBERT GRISSOM WAKE UP!"

Grissom woke up, falling off the bed. Sara laughed at his reaction and shook her head.

"Tired?" she asked as he finally looked at her.

He stood up and saw her, his breath caught in his throat, his jaw dropped and his eyes widened. Sara giggled at his reaction.

"You okay?" she giggled.

He couldn't speak, instead he moved round their bed towards her. They stared into each others eyes, Sara bit her lip nervous as he still hadn't spoke. Grissom placed his hands either side of her face and kissed her passionately. Sara placed her hands on his chest and held on to him, she responded to his kiss.

Breaking their kiss Grissom wrapped arms around her, pulling her as close as possible to him while she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I love you Sara Sidle more then anything in the world, you, Leo and this baby are my life and I'm so sorry I nearly ruined it. I'm going to spend forever making this up to you" he said kissing her again.

"I love you so much Gilbert Grissom, you and the kids are my life. I'm sorry I threw you out, you have nothing to be sorry for. It was my mistake, I know you would have told me and I'm sorry."

"We both made mistakes baby, but we're going to do that. At the end of the day as long as we have each other and the kids, we will be great"

The pair smiled at each other and kissed again. Grissom lifted Sara off the ground, her legs wrapped around his waist.

"You look so beautiful" he told her, kissing her neck.

"I've missed you, so much" she moaned.

"I've missed you too baby, I'm never spending another night without you. No matter what you say" he told her.

Sara laughed "Fine with me baby"

Grissom placed her back down and smiled at her "I love you."

"I love you too Griss"

Later that night the two lay in each others arms, Grissom placed a kiss softly on her lips.

"I was thinking when we were apart" he said breaking the kiss

"Well that's never a good thing" she joked.

"Rude" he huffed.

"Sorry baby" she said rolling on top of him and kissing him.

She rested her head on his chest, looking up at him and smiled. He ran a hand through her hair and smiled back at her.

"As I was saying, I was thinking when I was away and I know we're going to have another little one soon and Leo isn't going to stop growing, we've both got jobs and I've got uni. We have everything except for one thing"

"Which is?"

"A marriage, well a legal one anyway."

Sara giggled "Yeah, it'll happen one day"

"Well, I have a proposal" he smirked.

"What have you done Gilbert" she said asked raising an eyebrow.

"I've been speaking with our parents, before the break and during the break. They've agreed, as long as you are happy with it, to help us pay for a wedding and get married soon."

Sara looked at him in shock.

"I thought we were going to wait till we had the money" she asked.

"I know we were but we were all talking and they want to help, they want us to get married. And soon" he laughed.

"We're they not worried when we were on a break?" she asked.

"Nope, they always knew we'd get back together. So did I, I just hated being away from you. You are my life Sara and without you I can't live, I don't know how to. I don't think I remember a time where you weren't in my life and I don't remember a time where I didn't love you. I want you to be my wife, the decision is all yours my dear" he smiled.

Sara smiled and moved up his body to kiss him.

"So what do you think, you know?" he asked now nervous.

"Yes, let's do it!"

"YEAH?" he asked shocked but happy at the same time.

She nodded and laughed.

"We're getting married!" he shouted.

"Gilbert, be quiet or you'll wake Leo" she giggled.

He smiled again and kissed her.

"I love you wife to be"

"I love you too husband to be"

Grissom reached over to grab his phone.

"What are you doing now" she laughed.

"I'm telling everyone to start the plans" he told her as he began messaging in a group chat.

"You have a secret group chat with everyone about this" she laughed.

"Yep, our friends and family are all in it. They've got everything ready, just need a date, a venue, your dress and your approval" he told her smirking.

"How do you know if I'll like anything you's have decided?" she quizzed him.

"Because Miss Sidle, you have a wedding scrap book from when you were younger with all your dreams in it and I found it" he smiled.

"I want to be angry at you for stealing and sneaking around but I'm too happy to be angry" she said kissing him.

"So what date would you want to be married and where"

"How soon can we do it? I don't want to look pregnant when we get married" she told him.

"Earliest is probably in two maybe three weeks"

"Can we do it then?"

"Yes, now where" he smiled kissing her.

"Only one place I can think of" she said smiling.

"Your parents house"

"Yep, it's big enough and I love it there, I couldn't think of anywhere else I'd want to get married"

"Me too baby, I'll tell them" he said kissing her before replying to the group chat.

"You know I think I'm the luckiest girl alive right now" she smiled.

Grissom put the phone away and kissed her passionately, wrapping his arms around her tightly.

"Happy birthday Sar"

"Thank you Griss, now I think it's time to sleep before our little monster wakes up" she said as she curled into his side.

"Night baby, I love you"

Sara didn't reply, she was already fast asleep. Grissom smiled, they had sorted things out between them and they were all happy. Life couldn't get any better. He wrapped his arms around her, one hand placed on her stomach. For the first time in weeks he fell asleep with a smile on his face, happy to be at home and with his family.
