Hey guys, I know this update took a while, but I was putting it off. Tell me what you think.

Disclaimer: I don't own any characters or songs in this story.

Frank's POV, Friday (Concert)

I was sweating.

As in, I feel like the underarms of my shirt are probably soaked. I was so nervous about what the girls had come up with. I knew what they usually played had to do with, well, us. Nico would always half-heartedly say that their songs were a bit harsh toward us. Jason, Percy and I would always shrug, we didn't think it mattered, as they'd probably already moved on.

But, now, it mattered more than anything in the world what the girls sang tonight. What if someone told them to still write songs that were spiteful? Would the girls really do that? No way, I told myself. They wouldn't do that.

At least, I tried to tell myself that.

At 6:15, Annabeth got back from detention.

"Detention sucks," Was the first thing she reported.

"Tell me about it," Thalia agreed.

"Wait. Did you have detention too?" Jason asked in confusion.

"Not today," Thalia said vaguely.

I gently grabbed Hazel's arm. "So you're really not going to tell us?" I asked.

Hazel looked slightly amused, something I hadn't expected. "Frank, the concert's in, like, 2 hours."

"Yeah, I know," I said, progressively wrapping my arms around her waist, "but that's 2 more hours of being on the verge of a panic attack. Or 2 more hours of sweating right through my shirt. Or 2 more hours of-"

"Frank," Hazel said sternly before I could spiral too much.

I sighed. "Yeah, Haze?"

"I want to tell you. Really, I do. But... please, just wait," Hazel looked genuinely torn between telling me and not.

I felt a soft smile come to my face. "Of course."

Hazel stood on her toes to give me a kiss. "I'll give you a hint. But it might not help. It's about you boys."

Considering my anxiety metre was currently taller than the tallest mountain in the world, that was probably the least helpful thing Hazel could've said. Of course, I didn't say that. I simply passed on the information.

"How that Hades does that help us?" Percy strained.

"It doesn't, man. If anything, it just makes my heartbeat go faster than Usain Bolt," Nico said solemnly.

"Did Annabeth, Piper or Thalia give you guys anything?" I asked, hoping for something more than what I'd received.

"Have you met Annabeth?" Percy asked sarcastically. "Once she sets her mind on something, there's no changing that."

"Piper changed the subject," Jason admitted.

"Besides a bruise on my arm, no, Thalia didn't give me anything," Nico answered.

I inhaled for 5 seconds and sighed deeply. "Guess we'll just have to wait," I said with an obviously strained smile.

"Are you okay, Frank? Cause you look like someone's stretching your face," Percy said cautiously.

"I'm peachy," I said in the same strained manner. "Just peachy."

"Inhale, exhale," Hazel coached me. She had noticed me basically having a panic attack, but she seemed to understand. I let out a ragged breath. I saw Piper throw me a sympathetic look.

"Everything's going to be fine," My girlfriend tried to reassure me.

I looked right in her eyes, trying to tell her silently how much she meant to me. "I love you, you know that, right?" I asked softly.

A cute blush spread over her face as she nodded silently.

"And now, please put your hands together for... THE DEMIGODS!" The emcee announced.

"That's my cue," Hazel murmured.

I kissed her forehead. "Good luck."

And then, all of a sudden, it was like the world only narrowed down to the eight of us. Not the cheering crowd, not the rest of the crew, no one.

All 4 girls came out with confidence and a smile plastered on their face. "Yo guys, what's up?" Thalia asked into the mic. Deafening applaud in response.

"So that's a no?" Piper taunted their fans. Even louder cheers and screeches.

"Alright, we're gonna test some new songs on you guys, is that cool?" Annabeth asked. I'm not even going to say what the response was, because I think you can guess it by now.

(Bold= Annabeth, Italics=Piper, Underline=Thalia, Underline Italics=Hazel, ALL CAPS BOLD= ALL, Sunday Best, Surfaces)

Good, feeling good

Ay, feeling good, like I should

Went and took a walk around the neighbourhood

Feeling blessed, never stressed

GOT THAT SUNSHINE ON MY SUNDAY BEST (yeah)

I felt my eyebrows raise. The beat of this song wasn't normal for the girls. Usually, they were a bit more sombre.

Ay, every day can be a better day despite the challenge

All you gotta do is leave it better than you found it

E-e-everyone falls down sometimes

But you just gotta know it'll all be fine

It's okay, uh-huh, uh, uh
It's okay, it's okay

AY, FEELING GOOD, LIKE I SHOULD

WENT AND TOOK A WALK AROUND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

FEELING BLESSED, NEVER STRESSED

GOT THAT SUNSHINE ON MY SUNDAY BEST

Ay, somedays you wake up

And nothing works, you feel surrounded

Gotta give your feet some gravity to get you grounded

Keep good thing inside your ears

Just like the waves and sound did

And just say whatever cause there is no way around it

E-e-everyone falls down sometimes

But you just gotta know it'll all be fine

It's okay, uh-huh, uh, uh

It's okay, it's okay

Ay, feeling good, like I should

Went and took a walk around the neighbourhood

Feeling blessed, never stressed

Got that sunshine on my Sunday best

AY, FEELING GOOD, LIKE I SHOULD

WENT AND TOOK A WALK AROUND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

FEELING BLESSED, NEVER STRESSED

GOT THAT SUNSHINE ON MY SUNDAY BEST

Nico suddenly gasped for air.

"You okay?" Percy asked, looking at Nico like he'd grown a third eye.

"I... held... breath... for-for... whole... song," Nico panted.

Jason grinned. "Well, it worked, no? That wasn't bad at all!"

I was wearing an elated smile, too. Maybe this won't be so bad.

(If I Can't Have You; Shawn Mendes)

I can't write one song that's not about you

Can't drink without thinkin' about you

Is it too late to tell you that

Everything means nothing if I can't have you?

I'm in Toronto and I got this view

But I might as well be in a hotel room, yeah

It doesn't matter 'cause I'm so consumed

Spending all my nights reading texts from you

Oh, I'm good at keepin' my distance

I know that you're the feelin' I'm missing

YOU KNOW THAT I HATE TO ADMIT IT

BUT EVERYTHING MEANS NOTHING IF I CAN'T HAVE YOU

I CAN'T WRITE ONE SONG THAT'S NOT ABOUT YOU

CAN'T DRINK WITHOUT THINKIN' ABOUT YOU

IS IT TOO LATE TO TELL YOU THAT

EVERYTHING MEANS NOTHING IF I CAN'T HAVE YOU?

I CAN'T WRITE ONE SONG THAT'S NOT ABOUT YOU

CAN'T DRINK WITHOUT THINKIN' ABOUT YOU

IS IT TOO LATE TO TELL YOU THAT

EVERYTHING MEANS NOTHING IF I CAN'T HAVE YOU?

I'm so sorry that my timing's off

But I can't move on if we're still gonna talk

Is it wrong of me to not want half?

I want all of you, all the strings attached

Oh, I'm good at keepin' my distance

I know that you're the feeling I'm missing

You know, that I hate to admit it

I'm trying to move on

Forget you, but I hold on

Everything means nothing

Everything means nothing, babe

I'm trying to move on

Forget you, but I hold on

Everything means nothing if I can't have you

Nico, Jason, Percy and I's applause was definitely among the loudest. Hazel happened to look over her shoulder and catch my eye. I gave her a thumbs up.

(Something Just Like This; The Chainsmokers & Coldplay)

I've been reading books of old

The legends and the myths

Achilles and his gold

Hercules and his gifts

Spider-Man's control

And Batman with his fists

And clearly, I don't see myself upon that list

But he said, Where'd you wanna go?

How much you wanna risk?

I'm not lookin' for somebody with some superhuman gifts

Some superhero

Some fairytale bliss

Just something I can turn to

Somebody I can kiss

I want something just like this

DOO-DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO-DOO

DOO-DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO

DOO-DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO-DOO

Oh I want something just like this

DOO-DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO-DOO

DOO-DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO

DOO-DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO-DOO

Oh I want something just like this

I WANT SOMETHING JUST LIKE THIS

I've been reading books of old

The legends and the myths

The testaments they told

The moon and its eclipse

And Superman unrolls

A suit before he lifts

But I'm not the kind of person that it fits

He said, where'd you wanna go?

How much you wanna risk?

I'm not lookin' for somebody

With some superhuman gifts

Some superhero

Some fairy-tale bliss

Just something I can turn to

Somebody I can miss

I want something just like this

I want something just like this

Oh, I want something just like this

DOO-DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO-DOO

DOO-DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO

DOO-DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO-DOO

Oh I want something just like this

DOO-DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO-DOO

DOO-DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO

DOO-DOO-DOO, DOO-DOO-DOO

Where'd you wanna go?

I was clapping before the girls can finish. I saw Nico lift his fingers to his mouth, he let out a sharp taxicab whistle.

My (upstairs) cheeks hurt. I had been smiling for too long and the nerves in my face were tiring, but I didn't care. I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

I hear a lot about sinners

Don't think that I'll be a saint

But I might go down to the river, uh

'Cause the way that the sky opens up when we touch

YEAH, IT'S MAKIN' ME SAY

THAT THE WAY YOU HOLD ME, HOLD ME, HOLD ME, HOLD ME, HOLD ME

FEELS SO HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY

On gods

Runnin' to the altar like a track star

Can't wait another second

'CAUSE THE WAY YOU HOLD ME, HOLD ME, HOLD ME, HOLD ME, HOLD ME

FEELS SO HOLY

I don't do well with the drama

And, no, I can't stand it bein' fake

No, no, no, no, no, no-no-no

I don't believe in nirvana

But the way that we love in the night gave me life

Baby, I can't explain

THAT THE WAY YOU HOLD ME, HOLD ME, HOLD ME, HOLD ME, HOLD ME

FEELS SO HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY

On gods

Runnin' to the altar like a track star

Can't wait another second

'CAUSE THE WAY YOU HOLD ME, HOLD ME, HOLD ME, HOLD ME, HOLD ME

FEELS SO HOLY

They say we're too young and

The pimps and the players say, "Don't go crushin'"

Wise men say, "Fools rush in"

But I don't know (ah-ah, ah, ah)

They say we're too young and

The pimps and the players say, "Don't go crushin'"

Wise men say, "Fools rush in"

But I don't know

The first step pleases the father

Might be the hardest to take

But when you come out of the water

I'm a believer, my heart is fleshy

Life is short with a temper like Joe Pesci

They always come and sing your praises, your name is catchy

But they don't see you how I see you, Parlay and Desi

Cross, Tween, Tween, Hesi' hit the jet speed

When they get messy, go lefty, like Lionel Messi

Let's take a trip and get the Vespas or rent a jet-ski

I know the spots that got the best weed, we goin' next week

I wanna honour, wanna honour you

Bride's groom, I'm my father's child

I know when the son takes the first steps, the father's proud

If you make it to the water he'll part the clouds

I know he made you a snack like Oscar Proud

Suffer it to be so now gotta clean it up

Formalize the union in communion He can trust

I know I ain't leavin' you like I know he ain't leavin' us

I know we believe in gods and I know gods believes in us

Cause the way you hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me/Cause the way you hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me/Cause the way you hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me

Feels so holy, holy, holy, holy, holy/Feels so holy, holy, holy, holy, holy/Feels so holy, holy, holy, holy, holy

On gods

RUNNIN' TO THE ALTAR LIKE A TRACK STAR

CAN'T WAIT ANOTHER SECOND

On gods

RUNNIN' TO THE ALTAR LIKE A TRACK STAR

CAN'T WAIT ANOTHER SECOND

On gods

RUNNIN' TO THE ALTAR LIKE A TRACK STAR

CAN'T WAIT ANOTHER SECOND

On gods

RUNNIN' TO THE ALTAR LIKE A TRACK STAR

CAN'T WAIT ANOTHER SECOND

'Cause the way you hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me

Feels so ho-o-oly

Time Skip

I laid my arms around Hazel's waist.

"You were awesome," I told her simply.

Even the small compliment made her blush. "Thank you, Frank. Was it what you expected?"

I thought about what to say. Truthfully, I had thought they might play something just as spiteful as their other songs, just to appease their audience. But I had still held hope that the girls would've played something totally off-brand, something about actually liking someone where it wasn't one-sided.

"I never had a doubt." Did I feel guilty about lying? Yes. But a small lie wasn't bad, plus, it wasn't a full-on lie, right?

Hazel beamed at me. "What're your fans going to say?" I asked. With such a drastic change in the girls' music, what would happen? Would they like it? Would they not? Would they start a riot? Would they join the mob? Would they burn The Demigods' music?! Ok, probably not, but you get what I mean.

Hazel sighed. "Who cares what they think?"

"I know. I just don't want anything to happen," I admitted.

"Nothing will," Hazel comforted me.

"Your right," I said, "Nothing will happen as long as I can help it."

Not a lot of dialogue, but this story was exhausting.

Do you guys know any songs that I can use from the girls' point of view? Cause, I had to really dig.

Songs:

Sunday Best; Surfaces

If I Can't Have You; Shawn Mendes

Something Just Like This; The Chainsmokers & Coldplay

Holy; Justin Bieber

If you noticed, I changed the lyrics of some to fit the story. If you don't think the songs fit, deal with it.

I don't own the songs.

Thank you to all you viewed, reviewed, followed or favourited.

KEEP BEING AWESOME,
