The B word
A guest asked for a oneshot of Charming accidentally saying bitch in front of Neal. He then calls his mother one later in the day when she's not giving him enough attention.
"Ah, son of a bitch!" Charming yelled, waving his thumb in the air. He brought to his mouth and sucked, immediately regretting it when the metallic taste of blood hit his tongue. He had sliced it whilst cutting carrots for Neal's lunch. As he grabbed himself a plaster from under the sink, he spotted Neal standing at the doorway, looking scared.
"It's ok, buddy." Charming promised him, slapping the plaster on his finger and coming over. "Daddy just hurt his finger, but see? All better now." Neal nodded, looking at his daddy's sore finger.
"What does bitch mean?" He asked. Charming tried to look calm, even though his stomach just dropped through to the basement. "You just said it there." Neal added, when he decided his daddy was taking too long to answer.
"Uh…that's a grownup word, Neal." Charming told him. "Just for grownups, ok?" Neal pouted but nodded. He didn't know grownups got their own words as well.
Later that evening, Neal was trying to show his mother a picture he had drawn earlier in the day.
"I'm sure it's lovely, sweetheart. I'll see it very soon. Daddy and I just need to have a quick grownup chat." Snow explained. Neal frowned. He could be involved in that.
"Bitch, I know grownup chat!" Neal proclaimed proudly. Charming just about choked on thin air. Snow looked sternly at her son.
"Neal, where did you learn that word." Charming hoped against all odds that Neal would make something up, but no, he raised his finger and pointed at his daddy. Snow struck Charming with a ferocious look. He grinned sheepishly at her. Busted!
