Author's Notes

It's been a while, but I'll try and get things started in here. Either way, this is a crossover between the latest chapters in Bleach's arc Cant Fear Your Own World and the video game Fire Emblem Three Houses. By the title alone, you can guess which route a certain female Quincy's going to take.

I do not own Bleach or Fire Emblem.

Bleach is owned by Tite Kubo.

Fire Emblem is owned by Nintendo.

A certain explosive Quincy was quite out of it. Not only that, but her skin was quite red. This was because of her "friend's" power. A black haired young lady named Giselle Gewelle. To think they used to be friends... It's quite unbelievable.

Thank god that the Quincy under Giselle's eternal rule was slain as a zombie by... whatever that tanned skin boy was.

After that, the Quincy had a dream, not an ambition, but something completely different. People were fighting in a war, using weapons that were not used by her enemies nor by her allies. ...At least, not in a traditional sense. But then, she saw a man who looked a bit old. A bit older than the person she swore allegiance to, but a bit old nonetheless. He had some kind of whip-sword hybrid. The soldiers against his army attacked him, as if they're trying to kill him. Before the Quincy could see the carnage, she was sent back where she saw a few glowing red lights starting to emit. Must be from the fights taking place in the war. The few red lights turned into several, surprising the Quincy mildly.

The knight army was starting to get pushed back as the Quincy sees a woman with green hair and eyes standing still as one of the barbarians attack her, aiming for her head, but a knight blocks the attack for her then cuts the barbarian down. After that, however, another knight, groaning while calling the woman's name, "Lady Seiros", fell to the ground beside the woman.

The man that reminded the Quincy of her superior was cutting down the knight army, knight by knight. He then looks and sees the woman called Seiros under the sunrise. He then has his sword extend its blade like the whip part of it is quite natural and attacks her with it, blowing away many knights caught in the way of the sword.

Seiros prepared a sword of her own, though it didn't nearly have the range of attack her enemy had. She calmly walks towards the man with a burning desire to kill then began to run toward him. She leaps at him and he blocks her attack, letting her land. The two clash repeatedly, the man getting in a good knee into Seiros, knocking her back a little. He then attacked with an extended range, Seiros dodging by the skin of her teeth on one occasion. She dodges another attack then decides to have the man's sword wrap around her own sword, to his surprise, then make him let go of his sword while letting go of her own. She runs towards and then punches the man in the face then kicks him in the face.

The man tries to get up, but Seiros pins him to the ground, another blade to his neck. "Tell me, Nemesis. Do you recall the Red Canyon?" Seiros asked, to the surprise of the man named Nemesis and the confusion of the Quincy. Seiros then stabs at Nemesis repeatedly. She did not care if he was dead from the first, second, or even third stab. "You'll die for that! Die! Die! You took... everything that I loved." She growled. After that, she tries to catch her breath, now tired. She sees her knightly army, roaring in their victory. She looks over to Nemesis's weapon and takes it in her hands before putting it on her face. "He's gone now, Mother..." She sighed in relief before putting it off her face, a bit of blood, strangely enough, on her cheek.

After that, the Quincy was taken away from the battlefield. "Hm. I wonder why you went there first." The Quincy suddenly heard. She sees some kind of draconic human with two white wings and two black wings. It had a green upper body, an orange lower body and tail, a red right arm, and a blue left arm. It also had some kind of jewel on its chest.

"Who are you?" The Quincy asked.

"One who knows you quite well, Bambietta Basterbine." The dragon answered.

"How do you know my name? And... Wait... Am I...?"

"You're not a zombie, no."

"Oh thank god!" Bambietta exclaimed in delight.

"You're welcome." The dragon replied, to her surprise.

"Wait... YOU'RE god? What kind of god ARE you!?"

"I am the Dragon Lord of Creation. You may call me DLC if you wish."

"...Yeah, not gonna do that." Bambietta said.

"That's fine. I also take Drago." The dragon pointed out.

"Okay. Drago it is. So, Drago... where are we?"

"To you? This is the afterlife."

"So... I'm dead...?"

"Yes. Some "friends" you have. In any case, your sins run deeply, child."

"What!? I... I thought-"

"That you were doing the right thing by staying at "His Majesty's" side? For thinking that, I have half a mind to send you straight into hell. Where they kept the pornstar mobster and the very princess of Hell itself. As well as that... Radio Demon..." Drago growled.

"...Uh..."

"Yes. Those kinds of people exist. But that will be a topic for another time. Either way, I thought of something you could to make up for what you've done."

"What is it? Tell me!" Bambietta demanded.

"Save this world." Drago simply told as he summons a ball of energy that showed some kind of fantasy-like setting. "In this world, you will play the role of a mercenary turned Professor."

"Professor? You mean... teacher!? No way! I'm the worst when it comes to teaching people!" Bambietta denied.

"So I've heard from another god."

"What?"
"What."

A moment of silence was palpable. "Did you just say... another god?"

"No, I didn't."

"YES YOU DID!" Bambietta suddenly shouted.

Drago sighs. "Look. I'll give you some knowledge on how to properly teach someone in this world riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight now."

WHAM

"Ow! What the fuck!?" Bambietta exclaimed in pain. "I... ...Huh. I guess you did it." She realized.

"Indeed."

"...So, uh... Where do we go from here?"

Her question would be answered quite swiftly as she was suddenly in a place with a large temple with a throne on top of it. She sees a girl with green hair sleeping on it. She then woke up and yawns then sees Bambietta. "Oh my. What could've brought you here?" The girl asked.

"...No idea." Bambietta answered.

"You know, it is most rude to interrupt a moment of repose." The girl pointed out before yawning again. "Very rude indeed."

"Well, excuse me, princess." Bambietta deadpanned.

"Either way, come to me. I wish to have a look at you." The girl asked of. Bambietta complies. "Hmm... I have not seen the likes of you before. Who are you, anyway?" She asked.

"Ain't it obvious? I'm a human. A mortal." Bambietta answered.

"I see. Then you must have a name of sorts. Go on." The girl urged.

"...It's Bambietta. My friends call me Bambi." Bambietta introduced.

"Huh. I shall not ever grow accustomed to the sound of human names." The girl mused.

"...Is my name a joke to you?" Bambietta asked, sounding offended.

"You must possess a day of birth as well." The girl changed the subject. "Beneath which moon and on what day were you born to this world?"

Before Bambietta could answer, she sees a note which reads as follows: "Say the 3rd Day of the Wyvern Moon."

"Uh... The 3rd Day of the Wyvern Moon?" Bambietta repeated what the note told her to say.

"Well, wonders never cease! It seems we share our day of birth. How strange!" The girl exclaimed, surprised.

"Wait, seriously?" Bambietta let out in her own surprise.

"Hmm. It all feels so... familiar. I think it may be time for... yet another nap..." The girl declared as she starts drifting back into her slumber.

"H-Hey!" Bambietta called out.

"It is almost... time to... begin..." The girl yawned as she goes to sleep.

"Wait!"

Bambietta POV

Before I could talk to her, I was suddenly on a bed. Not a Quincy's bed, but it'd do, I guess. I try to close my eyes and teach her a lesson for sleeping on me like that, but then I heard someone tell me... "Hey. Time to wake up."

I groan as I wake up completely. "What...?"

"Were you having that dream again?" A pale blonde man asked me. I never met him before, but for some reason... in this world... I recognize him as... my true dad...

Wait. My dad? I HAVE AN ACTUAL FATHER!?

Questions for later, Bambi! Just... Calm down. Whew... Act natural. Like you KNOW he's your father... even though you don't remember such a thing like that.

"Yeah... I was dreaming about a war..." I answered him.

"Massive armies clashing on a vast field, right? There hasn't been a battle like that in over three centuries..." The man told me. ...Three centuries? That means... that war was over 300 years ago, right? "In any case, just put that out of your mind for now. The battlefield is no place for idle thoughts. Risking your life is part of the job for mercenaries like us. Letting your mind wander is a sure way to get yourself killed." He scolded me.

"Don't I know it..." I nodded.

"OK, time to get moving. Our next job is in the Kingdom." The man declared. "I told you before. It's far from here, so we'll need to leave at dawn."

"Y-Yeah. Of course." I accepted like I actually knew it. I don't know why, but it seemed to make him happy. Heh. That's fine with me.

"Hm? Good grief. Everyone is already waiting for us outside." The man noticed.

"Jeralt! Sir! Sorry to barge in, but your presence is needed." A mercenary exclaimed as he appeared. So my dad's name is Jeralt...

"What's happened?" Jeralt asked the mercenary.

We went outside and met three people that looked like nobles. One was a woman with white hair, purple eyes, and a red cape of some kind. One was a man with blonde hair, pale green... or sky blue, maybe, eyes and a dark blue cape. The third was a man with brown hair, green eyes, and a yellow cape.

"Please forgive our intrusion. We wouldn't bother you were the situation not dire." The blonde man said.

"What do a bunch of kids like you want at this hour?" Jeralt, the older man, asked the three.

"We're being pursued by a group of bandits. I can only hope that you will be so kind as to lead your support." The blonde man answered.

"Bandits? Here?" Jeralt repeated what he heard.

"It's true. They attacked us while we were at rest in our camp." The woman said.

"We've been separated from our companions and we're outnumbered. They're after our lives... not to mention our gold." The brown haired man continued. ...I'm not gonna lie. He looks kinda hot.

"I'm impressed you're staying so calm considering the situation. I... Wait. That uniform..." Jeralt suddenly realized.

"Bandits spotted just outside the village. Damn... There are a lot of them." A mercenary cursed as he appeared.

"I guess they followed you all the way here. We can't abandon this village now. Come on, let's move. Hope you're ready." Jeralt told me. I nod with a vicious smile on my face. Let's see... What weapons do I have...? I have a sword... and nothing else. Oh. I've got a healing potion of some kind. Hm.

"Let's take care of those thieves before they overrun the village." Jeralt advised me and the trio of nobles. "Take down the enemies in front first. That should take the wind out of their sails."

"Yes sir!" I exclaimed happily. I then look at the brown haired man. "Hey, you. Hit that guy."

"Ready and willing!" The brown haired man declared as he goes and shoots at the thief in front of us. Oh shit! He's got a bow and arrows! Awesome! The attack was successful and dealt some major damage.

"My turn!" I declared. "Stay focused..." I told myself as I advance. Before I finish off that thief, I might wanna talk to that brown haired guy first.

"Hey. It's because of you guys that I'm not dead right now. Thanks for that! I didn't expect to run into mercenaries like you in some remote village. The gods of fortune must be smiling on me!" The brown haired man exclaimed happily.

"No problem." I accepted the thanks with a very small blush. I then finish off the thief. Just before I did, though, I noticed some kind of glowing mark appearing. What the hell was that? Eh.

The white haired woman approaches me to talk to me. "You have a strange aura about you... You say you're a mercenary, so show me what you can do." The woman told me. The blonde man then approaches me to talk to me himself.

"Thank you. We are in your debt. It wouldn't do for us to fall in a place like this. Please, lend us your strength. Let's work together to drive out these thieves!" The blonde man asked of.

"Heh. You didn't need to tell me that!" I smiled as the thieves lied in wait for us.

"We'll advance while protecting ourselves from the enemy. Take up position inside the forest." Jeralt suggested. I manage to do so first. "Yes, good. If we're in the forest, we can sustain their attacks without losing the advantage." He declared. With that, I commanded the woman to hide in the bushes like I did while I had the blonde haired man take a position behind the forest and had the brown haired man take a position behind me.

The thieves attack us, the white haired woman was attacked first and she got hit, but it wasn't that big a deal, so she was able to counter, but she missed her attack. Oof. Not a very good first impression, lady. Another thief just moved in while a third attacked me, but I dodged it. Nice miss, idiot. After that, he was mine. I attacked him and scored a hit on him, dealing massive damage to him.

"This is a fine opportunity. Use the combat arts I taught you!" Jeralt told me. Combat arts? Do I have one of those? Oh! I do! Ahem...

"Wrath Strike!" I shout, dealing a one hit kill to the thief attacking the woman. Hell yeah! I then felt stronger in physical strength, dexterity, speed, and... whatever defense I've gotten. Probably magic or something. ...Does this world even HAVE magic or something? If it does... Oh boy~

The woman tried her luck again, but she missed a second time in a row. ...Seriously? Twice in a row? Jesus... Anyway, the brown haired man shot down the thief the woman failed to finish off. "Never underestimate an outsider." The man scolded. ...Outsider? Hmm...

The blonde man hides in the bushes while the woman was attacked. Even so, she managed to FINALLY get a hit in. Took you long enough!

"Attack when an ally is nearby, and the enemy will be intimidated, making them easier to hit." Jeralt taught. I nod. It looks like the blonde man, the woman, and the brown haired man are all near me. I attack and strike down the thief the woman damaged massively. See you in hell, Mr. Thief! The three nobles advance, the woman taking one of the healing potions she has and drinking it. Definitely a healing potion. From her reaction, it must taste something BITTER. That's... disturbing.

"Damn. Why are there mercenaries in the village? Guess we'll have to deal with them too." The bandit leader declared as he and his mooks advance. Finally, Jeralt advances. The nobles and I advance toward the enemies. The bandit leader attacks the woman. "I'm gonna kill you where you stand..." He growled. He attacks, but he misses due to the woman positioned in the bushes. Heh. Talk is cheap, you know. The woman gets in an attack of her own. There you go! Now you've got it!

Another thief attacks the blonde man who took a bit of damage, but it's nothing he can't handle, I wouldn't think. He counters and hits the thief. However, another one attacks and hits him, but the man counters again. Jeralt advances. The brown haired man shoots down another thief. I can feel him growing stronger in speed and... charm, I guess...? He didn't seem to happy about only gaining strength in those two categories. Hey. Enjoy them while you can.

"I'll let you handle this." The woman told me as she goes away from the bandit leader. Oh? Letting the more accurate of us take him down? You really are too much. Okay. Time to finish him off! Hope you've got some choice words to say about me, ya stupid bandit leader!

"Hey, you with the blank stare! Outta my way!" The bandit leader demanded. ...I lost all respect for this guy. I cut him down and could feel myself grow in areas of dexterity, luck, and physical defense. And... Ooh! He dropped something. An axe, huh? Eh. Don't need it, but I'll take it anyway~

Just when I thought it was over, the bandit leader gets back up and charges at the woman who brings out a knife. No good. That's not gonna do well against an axe! I charge in towards her and reach her, using myself as a shield. ...Wait. What am I doing!?

"You'll die!"

Before I knew it, I was stuck in the same void that I had in the dream I told Jeralt about that one day... ...Not sure when that was.

"Honestly! What are you accomplishing with that little stunt!?" I suddenly heard. I turned and see the same girl that talked to me in that dream. "It's like you're trying to get me killed, you fool!"

"Excuse me!? You mean to say that you and I are connected through MY life!? This is the first I've heard of it!" I complained. She looked like she wanted to say something to get back at me, but she instead sighs. "Hey! Don't give up like that! Besides! It's not like I WANTED to get in between the two and take the axe for that woman! My body was moving on its own, and-"

"Either way, it's fine. After all, if you don't know the value of your own life, you're not going to protect it very well, are you?" The girl asked.

"YOU'RE SAYING THAT I DON'T KNOW THAT THERE'S NO POINT IN DYING FOR SOMEONE OR SOMETHING I BELIEVE IN!?" I shouted at her.

"Course not." The girl grunted. This brat...!

"Why you...!" I growled. The girl suddenly happily gets up from her throne.

"Well, then. I guess it's up to me to guide you from now on. Right?" The girl asked. ...Wait, what? "You can call me Sothis... but I am also known as... "The Beginning". She introduced. "Hmm... Sothis... Yes, that is it. My name is Sothis. And I am also called... The Beginning. But who once called me that?"

"Sothis? What are you talking about?" I asked her back.

"I was not able to recall my name... until just now. And just like that, it came to me. How odd..." Sothis answered. You got that right... "That look upon your face... Did you think me a child? A mere child who forgot her own name!?"

"Hell yeah, I do." I insulted with a smile on my face.

"Phooey! That "child" just saved your life! And what does that make you?" Sothis asked me.

"I am no child, young lady!" I spat at her.

"Ha! Such arrogance. You look the part, but are you truly an adult? You threw yourself before an axe to save just one young girl. Yet all is well, as I have stalled the flow of time for now. You would have died had I not intervened." Sothis told.

"You-! You... stopped time...?" I realized.

"Hm. I do not hear your gratitude. Perhaps I should force you to leave?" Sothis "suggested".

"No! It's okay! Thanks for stopping time! And... uh... all that." I bowed in thanks. WHAT AM I DOING RIGHT NOW!?

"There now. Is gratitude so much to ask? I did deem you worth saving, after all." Sothis said. Worth saving?

"What!? I... I thought-"

"That you were doing the right thing by staying at "His Majesty's" side? For thinking that, I have half a mind to send you straight into hell. Where they kept the pornstar mobster and the very princess of Hell itself. As well as that... Radio Demon..."

"...I... don't know about that..." I muttered.

"Though it is only momentary, time has stopped. However did I manage that..." Sothis said the last part to herself.

"So what will happen when time resumes?" I asked.

"When time begins again, the axe will tear into your flesh, and you will surely meet your end." Sothis answered. ...Crap, that's right! "How rude of you to drag me into this!" She berated me. Excuse me!? "Now what to do..." She thought to herself.

"Ain't it obvious!? Turn back the hands of time! ...You... You can do that, right?"

"Of course! I must turn back the hands of time!" Sothis realized. A glyph appeared in front of her. "Yes... I do believe it can be done. You really are quite troublesome." She said. ...You know what? I'll take that as a compliment. "I cannot wind back time too far, but all is well. You are aware of what's to come, which means you can protect yourself this time. Now, go... Yes, you who bares the flames within. Drift through the flow of time to find the answers that you seek..." She ordered me.

"Wait, what do you mean by that?"

Before I could get an answer from her, I was sent back to the point in time where the leader of the thieves got back up. Dammit, not again! Well, like she said, I'm aware of what's to come this time!

The woman pulls out her knife while I get in between them. "You'll die!" The leader exclaimed, but since I'm aware of what happens, I knock the axe out of his hands while knocking him back into the ground, sending him and his minions packing.

"Hey, over here!" The brown haired man called to me and the white haired woman as he and the blonde man appeared. Jeralt approached me and the nobles.

"Hey... did you just..." He was about to ask me before he was rudely interrupted by a man in armor.

"The Knights of Seiros are here! We'll cut you down for terrorizing our students." The man in armor declared. "Hey, the thieves are running away. Go after them!" He ordered his subordinates. Lucky. I wish I still had subordinates. He then approached Jeralt, the three nobles, and me. "The students seem to be unharmed. And... who's this?" He asked.

"Ugh... Why him?" Jeralt groaned. Guess he doesn't have a lot of tolerance with him, huh?

"Captain Jeralt!? It is you! Goodness, it's been ages." The man declared happily. This guy knows my dad? "Don't you recognize me? It's Alois! Your old right-hand man! Well, that's how I always thought of myself anyway. It must have been 20 years ago that you went missing without a trace. I always knew you were still alive!"

"You haven't changed a bit, Alois. Just as loud as ever. And drop that "captain" nonsense. I'm not your captain anymore." Jeralt coldly said to him. That Alois guy... reminds me of someone... That... Ugh... I don't want to remember him, though... "These days I'm just a wandering mercenary. One who has work to do. Good-bye, old friend." He sent off.

"Right... Good-bye, Captain. Wait! This isn't how this ends. i insist that you return to the monastery with me!" Alois exclaimed.

"The monastery?" I repeated.

"Garreg Mach Monastery... I suppose this was inevitable." Jeralt sighed.

"And how about you, kid? Are you the captain's child?" Alois asked me. Well, apparently, so...

"That is correct." I nodded.

"Is that so? Well, physical differences aside, your mannerisms do remind me of the captain." Alois declared. "I'd love for you to see the monastery too. You will join me, won't you?" Alois raised another question for me to answer.

"Sure. Sounds like fun." I said with a smile. Jeralt sighs.

"What's troubling you, Captain? You aren't about to run off again, are you?" Alois asked my dad.

"Even I wouldn't dare run from the Knights of Seiros." Jeralt said. The two walk off. Might as well-

"The Knights of Seiros... They do seem rather skilled."

...Did I just hear Sothis's voice!?

"Ah. It seems your presence is required. Get going!" Sothis demanded. ...Great. Now I'm hearing Sothis's voice in my head. GET OUT OF MY HEAD!

Head voices from Sothis done with, I find the three nobles. "I appreciate your help back there. Your skill is beyond question." The woman complimented. "You're clearly an experienced mercenary. And your father... that would be Jeralt, the Blade Breaker? Former captain of the Knights of Seiros. Oft praised as the strongest knight to ever live. Have I missed anything?" She asked.

My dad was all those things? He's even got a cool title...!? Oh! Right! Conversation! "I didn't know he was a captain."

"How curious. I'd wager the explanation for that is fascinating indeed." The woman said.

"Hey! You are coming with us to the monastery, right? Of course you are. I'd love to bend your ear as we travel." The brown haired man told.

"Uh..."

"Oh, I should mention that the three of us are students of the Officers Academy at Garreg Mach Monastery. We were doing some training exercises when those bandits attacked. I definitely got the worst of it."

"That would be because you ran off." The woman interjected, looking a bit mad.

"Too true! I was the first to make a strategic retreat." The brown haired man agreed. "Everything would have worked out if these two hadn't followed me and ruined everything. Because of them, every single one of those bandits chased after us. Utterly ridiculous."

"Ah, so that's what you were thinking, Claude. And here I thought you were acting as a decoy for the sake of us all." The blonde man said. So the brown haired man's name is Claude...

"His intentions were as clear as day. You will prove a lacking ruler if you cannot see the truth behind a person's words." The woman scolded.

"Hm. You will prove a lacking ruler yourself if you look for deceit behind every word and fail to trust those whom you rely on." The blonde man spat back. Ooh~ Burn~

"Oh, joy. A royal debate between Their Highnesses. I wonder how being completely predictable affects one's ability to wield power. Personally, as the embodiment of distrust, I'd say your little exchange smacks of naivete." Claude winked. Damn. Nice quip.

"Me? Naive? Tell me, are you actually incapable of keeping quiet, or is your lack of self-awareness a condition of some sort?" The woman glared.

"In any case, forgive our digression. I must speak with you, if you can spare a moment." The blonde man asked of me. Okay. Go on. "The way you held your ground against the bandits' leader was captivating! You never lost control of the situation. It showed me I still have much to learn." He complimented. Yeah, that's right~ Bask in all my glory~

"Your skill is precisely why I must ask you to consider lending your services to the Empire." The woman butted in. Oi. Nobody asked you. "I might as well tell you now. I am no mere student. I am also the Adrestian Empire's-"

"Halt, Edelgard. Please allow me to finish my own proposition." The blonde man interrupted. So the woman's name is Edelgard... "The Holy Kingdom of Faerghus is in dire need of exceptional individuals like yourself. Please, do consider returning to the Kingdom with me."

"Whoa, there! You two sure are hasty. Trying to recruit someone you just met. Tactless, really." Claude insulted again. This guy's getting on my good side, I can tell~ "I was personally planning to develop a deep and lasting friendship on our journey back to the monastery before begging for favors. But it seems there's no time for niceties in this world. So, capable stranger, let's get right to it. Where does your allegiance lie?" He asked.

"Hmm. It seems one's place of birth is quite significant to them. Yet they are some impressed by you, that you may take your pick. Well? Where DOES your allegiance lie? The Adrestrain Empire: land of History, The Holy Kingdom of Faerghus: Land of Noble Knights, or the Leicester Alliance: Burgeoning League of Nobles?" Sothis asked me. You're still getting creepy, you know...

"I think I'll go with... The Leicester Alliance: Burgeoning League of Nobles." I told them.

"Is that right? Well, that's a win for the Alliance, so I suppose I'm obligated to be happy." Claude declared.

"All right, that's enough with the small talk. It's time to head back to the monastery!" Alois told us as he appeared.

"Looks like we'll have to pick this up another time." Claude pointed out as he and the other two nobles leave.

"My, my. They are in such a hurry. You know... Each of the three is most unique..." Sothis pointed out to me. Hmm...

"Edelgard... She is a refined young woman... But I feel as though she is always evaluating me... That blonde guy..."

"Dimitri."

"Dimitri... He seems quite sincere... But I sense darkness lurking beneath... And Claude... His easy smile is striking... But that smile doesn't reach his eyes." I said.

"Yes, I thought the same. I am so sleepy once again..." Sothis yawned. She's going to sleep again, huh? "I may be sleeping... but I..." She couldn't finish her sentence.

Well... I guess I'll see what this Garreg Mach Monastery is like.
