3rd Person POV

White Clouds

Day 1 of the Blue Sea Moon

Bambietta received 3,000 G from the Church of Seiros as funding for this month's activities.

It's Caspar's birthday. Bambietta buys him flowers.

Day 5 of the Blue Sea Moon

Bambietta was conversing with those naturally from the Golden Deer. At least half of them. "OK... So our task this moon is to patrol and guard the monastery in support of the knights, who are busy trying to stop an assassination plot. Here's the thing. I don't think the bad guys are really trying to assassinate the archbishop." Claude declared.

"What do you mean? Like... it's a distraction?" Bambietta shrugged, confused.

"Precisely. That "secret" note with the assassination plot on it... There's just no way that was real. People don't just carry around secret notes. Someone wanted us to find it." Claude told.

"You really think the assassination plot is just a distraction?" Ignatz asked.

"Oh, yeah. That makes complete sense. but then... what are they really after?" Hilda raised her question.

"If I knew that, I wouldn't be so worried. Let's see... It probably involves somewhere that will be empty during the Rite of Rebirth, yeah?" Claude brought up.

"Since the ceremony is at the Goddess Tower, it follows that everywhere else at the academy will be severely understaffed." Lysithea thought out loud.

"Do you think they're after the church's donation money? I hear noble families tend to donate quite generously." Leonie guessed.

"My bet's on the dining hall. It's a treasure trove of delicious food. Makes me angry just thinking about them getting their grubby hands on it!" Raphael exclaimed.

"Let's split up and look around! I'll keep an eye on the reception hall." Hilda said.

"You should get in some training if you have the time, Hilda. There's a good chance we'll have to fight." Claude warned.

"Uh! Well, I'm not the only one who needs to train here! It's not right to single me out like that." Hilda complained.

"A secret meeting, Professor?" A woman with purple hair asked as she appears with a boy with tanned skin and black hair. "Oh, we haven't been introduced. I am Shamir."

"Shamir is one of the Knights of Seiros. And that little go-getter there is-"

"I work for Lady Rhea! And I'm Shamir's apprentice! Oh, the name's Cyril." The boy introduced himself.

"Shamir's apprentice?" Bambietta repeated the latter of the first two sentences Cyril spoke out.

"Yep. She's teaching me about the bow and the sword and all kinds of stuff. I've gotta protect Lady Rhea, so that's why I've gotta learn all I can from Shamir." Cyril nodded.

"Cyril adores Rhea. That aside, if you need anything, ask." Shamir said.

Day 6 of the Blue Sea Moon

Bambietta can only explore today.

After forgetting about it the first time, Bambietta decides to put Petra to the beginner exam. Petra can either be a Myrmidon or a Fighter. Bambietta flips a coin. It lands on tails. "Okay. Fighter it is." Bambietta said.

And so Petra passed her Fighter exam.

After that, Bambietta explores and suddenly feels like someone is behind her. She looks and sees...

"Sothis!?"

"I haven't thought you'd find out that I could communicate with you like this." Sothis pointed out.

"YOU WEREN'T THERE!" Bambietta shouted.

"A Hero's Relic..." Sothis changed the subject. Bambietta sighs.

"Yeah. It represents great power."

"Quite so. The stone within the sword... A glow of red..." Sothis grumbled.

"You okay?" Bambietta asked.

"Hm? Oh, it is nothing." Sothis shook her head.

Bambietta shrugs and goes to Claude. "To figure out our foe's intentions, we need information. Lots of it. Or any, at the least. For now, try going around the monastery and looking for suspicious locations. You should also try chatting folks up to see if they know anything. Once we've got things narrowed down, let's meet up and compare notes." Claude asked of her. "If I'm going to figure out what the enemy's after, I'll need more to go on. Keep an ear to the ground around the monastery for me. See what you can dig up."

"You got it." Bambietta said with a thumbs up. Before doing this, she goes and finds Seteth. "Hey, Seteth. What's going on?"

"I've been in town, procuring some supplies for Flayn." Seteth explained.

"Did you encounter any danger?"

"No, but do not concern yourself for my safety. I am very much stronger than I appear." Seteth answered.

"Anything you got for me in terms of doing anything today?"

"Indeed. A band of thieves has been raiding villages in the north of Faerghus. Reports indicate they have made an old tower their stronghold. Do you have any idea where it might be?" Seteth asked back.

"I might. I'll take care of it for you." Bambietta declared. After that, she talks to a Knight of Seiros.

"Something in the monastery that someone might go after? There's so much here I couldn't possibly name just one. Even this here kitchen contains precious wares. Wine bottles from centuries past and the like. I hear that stuff is fancy, but not very drinkable. I doubt anyone would go to the trouble of stealing it." The knight told. With that written down, Bambietta moved on and went to Manuela.

"Professor. I hope you're well. As for me, I had a date with a splendid specimen of a knight. But now he's suddenly not in the mood to see me again. I blame all these rumors of a deathly figure showing up in town. Such an uproar must have, beyond reason, drawn his attention away from me." Manuela said.

"You got anything you want me to do, Professor Manuela?" Bambietta asked.

"Yes. It's extremely important that professors tend to their own studies as well. If you agree, I'd be more than happy to share my knowledge."

"Sounds good."

"Okay. Which do you wish to be instructed on: Swords, Faith, or Flying?"

"Faith."

Bambietta did well.

"I simply must thank you, Professor. It's fun to learn like this, even as adults. How about we get others to join up as well? I'm sure they'll be elated to participate." Manuela declared as she gives Bambietta four carrots and cabbages, some Renown, and 500G. After that, Bambietta goes to a Monk near the greenhouse.

"It would be terrible if the greenhouse was targeted. The plants in here are incredibly valuable. This place contains the heart of Garreg Mach's 995-year history! So many beautiful flowers... Plants that can save or end lives... They are all my precious children." The monk declared. With that written down, Bambietta goes and talks to Caspar.

"I figured it out, Professor. The enemy must be targeting Lady Rhea! They're gonna make it seem like they're going after something else, but then they're gonna go after her. Impressive, right? I'm telling you, my intuition's never wrong." Caspar boasted.

"Sure... Anything you want me to do?"

"Do you know about the fighting tournaments here at the monastery? I hear anyone can get involved! Oh, I know! You and I should sign up, Professor!" Caspar suggested.

"Sure." Bambietta smiled. Before going to the tournament, she talks to a Priest.

"Do you know what this room is? It is the church's treasure vault. I say treasure, but I do not mean silver and gold and jewels. It mostly contains weapons, artifacts, and the like. Anything that would cause too great a stir should it be stolen? No. The church knows better than to store anything too valuable in such an accessible location." The Priest told. With that written down, Bambietta obtains Thieves Intel at the Knight's Hall and reports to Seteth. She receives a Concoction, an Ancient Coin, and some renown. After that, she talks to Anna.

"Hey, Professor. How's it going? Making lots of coin? I'd love to catch up, but I'm super busy right now. Working. For money. You understand." Anna said.

"Sure. Anything you want me to do?"

"It seems that there are some rare, valuable secrets circulating on the battlefield. I'd like you to collect a number of these for me, should you have the opportunity to do so." Anna explained.

"Okay. Why not." Bambietta huffed out. After accepting this, she goes to the cathedral where she predicted correctly that Ashe was. "Hey." She greeted.

"Hello, Professor..." Ashe sighed. "I can't stop thinking about Lonato... I'm sorry, Professor. I know this isn't the time, but... I just can't get past it."

"Hey. Pull yourself together." Bambietta ordered.

"Professor... Thank you. No matter what happens, I promise you I'll do my part." Ashe declared.

"Good boy." Bambietta complimented him with a pat on the head. After that, she talks to another Knight of Seiros.

"On the day of the rite, the monastery will be open to the public, including the Holy Mausoleum. The Holy Mausoleum is where the tomb of the divine Seiros lies. There she slumbers, eternally. That's... pretty much all that's in there. Just an ancient coffin. It's sealed with a powerful magic, to protect against would-be grave robbers." The knight declared. With that written down, Bambietta moved on to Alois.

"Have you visited the Goddess Tower? It's a sacred place, used for rituals and the like. In general, students aren't allowed entry. But as you'd expect, that rule just excites their curiosity. Some have even tried sneaking in. Well, at least for this month, that kind of behavior is totally unthinkable. We have a lot more security, what with the Goddess's Rite of Rebirth coming up." Alois noted. With that written down, Bambietta talks to Ferdinand.

"Hmm... Setting fire to the stables to distract everyone, to cause a commotion. It is the oldest trick in the book, but I cannot shake the thought that our enemies may attempt it... I will stand guard and watch over the stable... and the knights' horses. They are truly magnificent." Ferdinand declared.

"Can I help you with anything?"

"Yes you can, Professor. Please, do me a favor. I made a dreadful mistake and ended up with two of the same tea set. Now I must gift one of them to someone who can appreciate its value. Could you help me find someone deserving of such a precious gift?"

"I can." Bambietta nodded. Ferdinand gives Bambietta an Elegant Tea Set. She gives it to Lorenz. Bambietta reports her success to Ferdinand. After that, she goes to the library to talk to another monk.

"There are numerous books in this library that you cannot find anywhere else. But once you are here, you can read them easily enough. I doubt someone would go to the trouble of stealing one. Sometimes Seteth will dispose of books that are deemed inappropriate for the monastery, but that's about it. In a way, I suppose that makes those particular volumes more valuable... right?"

"I guess." Bambietta shrugged. With her note written down, she moves on to Hanneman.

"Unbelievable. What a terrifying story. However, an assassination attempt on Lady Rhea is doomed to fail. Pardon? You think the goal may be different than simple assassination? Intriguing. I suppose the priceless objects in this room could perhaps draw thieves. However, there's no one but me who could make use of them..." Hanneman said to Bambietta. With that written down, Bambietta has finished her investigation. She reports to Claude.

"I think we've narrowed down some of the enemy's possible objectives. We won't know until we know, of course, but I have a feeling a fight will be involved. Let's make sure we're prepared for that." Claude asked of.

Bambietta later registers Ignatz into the first tournament, a Beginner Sword tournament, and he won for his Professor and Golden Deer House. Bambietta gained a Steel Sword+ and 300G in prize money. She reports her success to Caspar who gives her a Steel Axe, some poultry, some wild game, and some renown.

After that, she invited Claude and Raphael for the Head Chef Challenge. The two enjoyed their meals.

Day 7 of the Blue Sea Moon

Bambietta POV

I called Claude up first and worked on his axe skills. He did perfectly on one instance, making me praise him, increasing his motivation. But now that he excels in axes, he learned the Combat Art Diamond Axe. "I'm surprised I have such power..." Claude voiced his surprise.

After instructing him on Reason for his last instruction session, I move on to Raphael to instruct him on Authority. Dude got perfects three times in a row, getting his authority to D level, granting him the ability Rally Strength. After that, I instructed him on axes twice.

After that, I moved on to Ingrid. I instructed her on Swords, getting her skill in them to C, granting her the combat art Grounder.

For my final student in need of instructing for the day, I moved on to Petra. I instructed her in Brawling.

I then began the lecture. Before I did, however, Mari came up to me with a question: "Um, excuse me... Can you help me? I always get the feeling that I'm being watched. I get so nervous that I can't sleep at night... Do you know why that is?"

"Hmm... I think... That's the goddess watching over you. You're safe here." I answered her.

"I see..." Mari nodded.

I felt like I could do more activities for exploration and get paid more. Ingrid then came up to me for a suggestion in goals.

"I have always admired Pegasus Knights for the versatility they bring to battle. By studying flight, as well as the lance, I am sure to be useful no matter the terrain." Ingrid told me.

"Go for it." I told her while smiling.

Day 12 of the Blue Sea Moon

Saint Cethleann Day is today. There will be a hymn recital. I'll participate. I brought Caspar and Ingrid. Oh. And it's Flayn's birthday. I'll buy her flowers.

I decide to go to the dining hall. I decide to cook a Queen Fish Sautee with Bernie. This'll get my students to be more accurate.

I then share two meals with Claude and Ignatz for the first, and Lysie and Hilda for the second. I then had Manuela instruct me on Faith a second time.

Day 14 of the Blue Sea Moon

I first instruct Claude more on Reason. He managed to learn the magic Wind. I then went to instruct him on Faith.

I instructed Ignatz about Reason some more. He learned the magic Blizzard.

I instructed Lysie about Swords some more. She learned the combat art Wrath Strike and now excels in it, earning her the combat art Soulblade. "Talent like this, hidden away..." She gasped. I instructed her more on Faith.

I instructed Hilda more on Heavy Armor. She got her budding talent, the Ability Seal Speed. "Go figure! I didn't know I had it in me." Hilda voiced her surprise. I then instructed her on Brawling.

I began my lecture, but before that, Mari came to me with a suggestion for goals. "I don't have any talents of my own, so all I can really do is pray to the goddess. Maybe if I truly master my faith, she'll show me the role I am meant to fulfill."

"Don't worry, Mari. I'm sure there's something that'll allow you to use magic with a weapon." I assured her, even though I don't know anything like that.

Day 16 of the Blue Sea Moon

I talked to Lysie and built our bond.

Day 17 of the Blue Sea Moon

I talked to Hilda and built our bond.

Day 20

Okay. Time to raise everyone's combat levels. They're quite a ways behind me, so I'll have to make them play catch up. I buy a whole bunch of stuff for my students, including 10 Intermediate Seals which costs a whopping 10,000 G. ...Hm. I feel like there's a joke in here somewhere...

Either way, it was time to fight.

My students make the first move to advance as carefully as they can, with some of them being bait for certain enemies.

A fighter attacks Sylvain who counters critically. He grows in maximum life energy, strength, and charm.

A Mage attacks Mari who counters, but was attacked a second time.

A Bishop attacks Mari, but deals no damage. She counters, allowing her to gain another level. She grows in magic and dexterity. Man... Are we gonna end up getting the short end of the stick AGAIN!?

Claude finishes off the fighter Sylvain was fighting. He grows in maximum life energy, dexterity, speed, luck, defense, and charm. ...You know what? I'm not gonna expect anything better than THAT.

Lorenz hits another Bishop with Sagittae. He gets hit by Nosferatu, but the bishop didn't gain any life force from the attack even though it did a little bit of damage to Lorenz.

Petra finishes off the bishop. She grows in maximum life energy, strength, dexterity, luck, and charm. Okay. Here we go, now... Oh! The bishop dropped another Ambrosia.

Caspar uses his Steel Gauntlets and strikes at another fighter who counters. He grows in maximum life energy, speed, and luck.

Mari finishes off that Fighter.

The rattled fighter attacks Caspar who counters critically. Caspar grows in maximum life energy and dexterity. Ugh, you're stronger than this, dude!

Mari heals Caspar in preparation for the armored knight to attack.

Claude hits that knight with Curved shot.

The rest of my students advance.

The MVP was Petra.

Day 24 of the Blue Sea Moon

It's Claude's birthday. Eh. I'm sure he doesn't feel like having a tea party even though it's his birthday. I'll give him flowers.

Day 26 of the Blue Sea Moon

Okay. Time to do some certifications and then we're on our way to the mission!

First up: Claude. He can be a Lord or an Archer. There's no guarantee he can be a Lord, but there IS a guarantee he can be an Archer. Let's go with Archer. He passes the exam.

Next: Lorenz. He can be a Cavalier or a Mage. ...Mage. Lorenz passes the exam. Oh! He gained a bonus in luck, huh?

Next up is Raphael. He can be an armored knight, a Brigand, or a Brawler. Hmm... Good thing I've got this six-sided die since coins only hold two sides. So let's see... A four... Brigand it is. Raphael passed. He even gained a bonus in speed.

Next is Lysie who can only be promoted to Mage, so we do that. She passes and gains a bonus in maximum life energy and luck.

Next is Mari who can be promoted to a Mercenary, a Thief, or a Priest. there's no guarantee she'll be either a Mercenary or Thief, so I'll have to make her a Priest. ...You know, now that I think about it, I didn't know there'd be FEMALE Priests... Either way, she passed the exam.

Next is Petra. She can either become a Mercenary, a Thief, or an Archer. Hmm... I roll a 1. Mercenary it is. She passed the exam.

That's all the people I've got for this examination marathon. Now, on to the mission!
