An easy mistake- part 2
A few people have asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch2675 "An easy mistake" where Emma is still mad at her parents. Also Henry getting involved and Emma telling Emma opens up and tells him it's just like when her magic went OOC. She can't trust them not to blame her.
Well done to everyone for remembering the chapter name AND number. I seem to have one guest just now who keeps forgetting. Sorry my dear, but you can request it every time if you want. No chapter name AND number, the request is deleted.
A few days later and Emma still wasn't really talking to her parents. A stiff hello here and there when she bumped into them, but she hadn't come home yet. Snow and Charming weren't pushing her, coming back had to be Emma's decision and Emma's decision alone. Henry, on the other hand, was becoming a little impatient.
"Don't you think this has gone on long enough?" He asked him mom as they sat together in her room at Granny's.
"Henry." Emma sighed. This wasn't the first time her son had tried to convince her to go and mend things with her parents. "I have no interest in making things up with them. Not yet."
"You're just being stubborn." Henry grumbled. Why were the women in this family so stubborn?
"That may be, but I have good reason." Emma responded. Henry looked up, waiting for Emma to explain. "This isn't the first time they've jumped to conclusions." She reminded him. "Remember when my magic started going out of control? Remember how quick they were to react? It seems to be their default position with me. I'm not ready to go back to them yet." Emma explained. Henry did feel for his mom, but he could also see his grandparents' point of view.
"In their defence, mom, you did hit dad was a lamppost." He reminded her. "We were all shocked. Then this whole thing with Neal, none of us even knew he had magic. You didn't know either. I bet part of you was thinking you hadn't locked that gate properly as well." Henry surmised. Emma stayed silent, confirming his suspicions. "See? I know they overreacted, but now you're being just as bad." Emma sighed. Why did he have to have such a way with words?
"Alright kid, alright." Emma grumbled. "I'll think about it. Happy?" Henry smiled. He knew that when she said she would think about it, she meant she would do it but was too stubborn to admit that he was right.
