Family time

A guest asked for a oneshot of the whole family spending a day at the beach.

"And we give it a quick pat with the spade." Snow helped Neal pat the top of the bucket gently with the spade. "Take the bucket off and…yay!" Snow praised him, delighting in Neal's giggles. "Good job buddy, you made a sandcastle!"

"My boy's a prince. I should hope he'd be a pro with castles." Charming joked, kissing the top of Neal's head before kissing Snow. She smiled into the kiss. This was just such a perfect day. The sun was shining down. There were no villains that needed facing. Everyone had the day off. Everyone could enjoy a nice family day at the beach. Together. Snow laughed as she watched Emma and Henry chase each other around in the ocean, splashing each other with the cool, salty water. It had been so long since the parents had seen their daughter be able to be so carefree. It was a beautiful sight.

"We should do this more often." Charming mused, settling himself down on the towel Snow had put out for them.

"I think the weather might have something to say about that." She pointed out. Charming laughed, pulling Snow into his arms.

"We'll get proper jackets and welly boots." He told her. Snow smiled, resting her head against his shoulder. If she could do this with her family every day of the year, she would do it in a heartbeat. Although the rain and the cold might spoil that, Snow realised that it didn't have to spoil their family time. Yeah, maybe it was about time they made this a weekly thing. After all, life's too short.
