My bonuses

.

Aside from checking on my classmates and comparing them to the movies and fanfictions, I tested my new abilities. And more importantly, my new belongings.

For that, one night when everyone was asleep, I snuck out of the dorm with the invisibility cloak, and went to the seventh floor. After searching for a bit, I found the tapestry of the dancing trolls, and turned my back to it to face the blank wall. In Kamidori Alchemist Meister, the protagonist had some starting skills, one of them being Adventurer. It allowed him to detect hidden doors and rooms, pick locks, and mine ores vains. While I could detect some of the hidden passages of the castle, I couldn't detect the Room of Requierment.

I walked back and forth in front of the empty wall, while thinking about the meister workshop I needed. The door appeared, and I got inside.

There was a mechanics workbench on my left, an alchemist workbench on my right, an enchanting table in the corner opposite to the alchemist workbench, and a forge opposite to it. The forge and the enchanting table were separated by a strong wall. I closed the door and locked it, which made the door disappear on the other side. Then, I checked my inventory.

I had recovery and cleansing consummables, fabrics products, enchanted single use stones, mythril weapons and their equivalent, the most usefull apparels, mythril shields, the most usefull or rare/tasteful/funny furnitures, and all kinds of materials. The more notable were the Breath of Elyun, Goddesses Tears, the stynias, the Eushully tiaras, the Hero necklace, the Marwen necklaces, the Solar Generator, the Alien Remain, the Magic Stones Mines, the Floating Garden, the Meteorites and the Fountain of Youth. For the materials, the most notables were the Divines Gems, the Tempting Honey, the Mythril, the Reisha steel, the Philosoper Stones, the Sacred Branches, Holy and Divine Bones, Holy Water, Angels, Mares and Demons drops, and Essences. There was probably nothing in the wizarding world that could match them.

I had about 200 kinds of items in my inventory. I had 50 untis of the cheapest items, and 10 units of the rarest items. Except for the furnitures and the weapons, I only needed 1 or 2 of each of them.

I decided to try making some cheap items. A small potion, an enchanted knife, a fish bracelet, a soft bed and a plain kimono. It would test all aspects of my synthesis skill: smithing, woodcarfting, tailoring, enchanting, alchemy. After 4 hours of work, the results were more than satisfactory. My body was that of a 12yo close to 13yo. I was still weak, and I didn't have weeks upon weeks of practice in the field, but my inherited mastery more than made up for it. Of course, I had to be slower in my movements, but I could also take shortcuts.

That was a massive improvement compared to the game. In the game, I was limited to the game receipes. In reality, I could alter them thanks to the improved knowledge. I could use subtitute methods or materials, including wizarding ones. And the potential uses of the game materials were further expanded in reality. Finally, consumming games products worked just fine. I had started late at night, and was getting really tired. The stimulants did a good job at getting rid of my sleepiness and returning energy to my sore mimbs.

I spent a few days going through the properties of my materials to infer what new uses I could have of them. Especially what could be done with them to enhance myself. Of course, any significant body enhancement would have to wait until after Voldemort got my blood. That made me frown. The blood of the enemy had to be forcibly taken, and since I wanted him to return, I would be willingly giving my blood. That had the potential of being very dangerous for me. The solution would be to obliviate myself of the knowledge of the ritual he was going to use to return to life. I would only do so after practicing both occlumency and the memory charm. I didn't want to erase more than needed.

My skills in alchemy and enchanting, alongside the quality materials available to me, made rituals much easier and safer for me. I could use them to enhance all 3 parts of my being: body, magic, and soul. While the first one would need to wait until after June 1995, the other 2 could be done as soon as possible. The best time to perform the soul-enhancing ritual would be on June 24, during the Summer Solstice. For the magic-enhancing ritual, the night of my 13th birthday would do. After thinking about it for a bit, I could perform a minor body enhancement ritual that day as well, because I realised it would be useless for Voldemort.

An other important element to note about my otherwordly items, was the skills granted by the clothes and certain items. I could aquire spells and magical weapons skills that didn't exist in the wizarding world. The Etheral and Interdimensional skills, the Anti-Death and Resurrect skills, the passive combat skills like Spirit Hunter and Mythbusters that granted bonuses when facing a certain type of opponent, the Prevail skills which made you tougher when your health got low, and more. And there would be no class/character restrictions for many of them. The best would definitly become Potter Family Magics (and Black if I did inherit it).

I looked at the clear sky with passing white clouds, and verified the time one last time with a tempus. June 24, 11:50 am. I was in a small clearing in the Forbidden Forest. I wasn't too far from the edge, I wasn't stupid enough to go deep inside. I had searched for a good location on broom a few days prior, then I spent a few hours making sure that noone and nothing would come and bother me there. Then, I spent hours creating a complex ritual circle on the ground, with help from my improving transfiguration skills. And some aritmancy and ancient runes. As a master enchanter, these 2 subjects were easy.

On the edge, at each of the cardinal points, were the offerings of the rituals: A gnome essence, an undine essence, an ifrit essence and a sprite essence. In the inner circle were 3 points, each containing the elements I would absorb to enhance my soul: a soul essence, an angel essence, and a mare essence. The soul essence was to strenghten my own, before absorbing the non-human essences, else I would risk altering my soul too much to stay the same. I wasn't trying to have a hybrid soul, I wanted their resilience, and light/dark affinities and resistances.

I took off my clothes, and went to the center of the ritual circle stark naked. My wand was dumped on my clothes after a last check of the time. The only thing on me was the power stone in my hand. That stone was the combination of 3 magic stones, and was filled to the brim with magic. It took a few days to make it, and while the name was accurate, Marvel made it sound horribly presumptious. I placed it right at the center of the circle, activating and powering the ritual at the same time.

The circle started to glow, and the intensity of the glow was magnified as time passed. My senses were starting to get numbed, as a low buzzing sound was heard in the clearing, while the became completly still. When the sun reached its peak, the 4 offerings were envelopped in small columns of lights, each of them of the same color as their respective elements (red, blue, brown white). I felt like thousands of needles were entering both my body and my mind, but without the accompanying pain. It was a disturbing feeling. At that time, I also stopped perceiving the world with my 5 senses. I couldn't see, hear, smell, taste or touch. I didn't know if I was still sitting or if I had collapsed.

I felt myself grow. The soul essence was being assimilated into my soul, and I felt something. 2 things. On was a spark of something young and nice, the other was a shard of something disgusting, both stuck to me. The disgusting thing was definitly Voldemort soul shard. I had discovered it during my days of preparations. I had to confirm its presence, or I would have taken the risk of strenghtening it instead of my own soul. It was quite easy to design and build the spiritual scanner that revealed it, then isolate it from most of the ritual. Why most? Because it would become the final offering to the ritual, and its disappearance would allow the angel and mare essence to be absorbed. The other, I realised, was a very small piece of original Harry's soul, probably the result of October 81, killing Quirrel and the basilisk venom. It linked me to his body and granted me its identity, hidding my own. I felt it dissolve and merge with my soul. At that moment, Harry Potter had fully been taken over by me.

It was then that I was stunned by spiritual pain as the soul leech that was latched onto me was struggling in its final moments. Its own pain and despair as it was consummed echoed into my soul. In the next instant, it was gone and the pain stopped. It was replaced by a mixed feeling of enrichment, enlightning and concealing, rightful and seductive, warm and cool. The feeling soon faded, and I was suddenly assaulted by the informations of the material world conveyed by my sensory organs.

I was back in control of my body (and even after 3 weeks it still felt weird to think about myself like that), still sitting. My scar was throbbing, but not in pain, and it was calming. I looked at the sun's position, and noticed that not much time had passed, a few minutes at most. The ritual circle was inert, but the power stone was still glowing. I put it in my inventory, left the circle and put my clothes back on. Then I destroyed the corcle and erased all traces of the rituals. I dismantled the protections I had placed, and returned to the castle.

"Harry, are you alright?" asked Hermione with a slight frown. "You seem a little distracted."

"Huh? I'm fine" I replied, a little surprised by that question.

And I was. We were eating lunch in the great hall. She was sitting on my right, while Ron was sitting opposite to me. I was still a little high from the ritual I did less than an hour earlier. With my soul having been strenghtened, I had become more aware of the body it inhabited. It was weird, as if before, my bodily sensations were muted, and now they were clear.

"Are you sure? You have been a bit different since, you know, that day" she continued in a lower voice.

"I should be asking you if you're alright, sleeping beauty" I said to tease her. I instantly regretted it, because she didn't qualify yet as a beauty. "Are you done panicking about your grades?"

"I'm fine" she hastly replied while blushing. "Don't try to change the subject."

"And I already told you I'm fine, don't avoid the subject" I replied with a grin.

That made her drop the subject, but not before huffing in displeasure. Ron didn't participate in the small talk, prefering to concentrate on the food. His table manners weren't as bad as some author liked to write, but he sure liked to eat.

The end of year exams were done, there was no longer any pressure for anything. I just waited for the start of summer break, when I'll be back to the Dursley. No, I wasn't in a rush to see them again. I wanted to take Lily out of my inventory. I didn't try before because I was almost certain I wouldn't be able to put her back in. I'm certain that the only reason I got her was because she was a clone unit, an empty copy of a character from another game. Once out, the core would turn into a real living individual.

If I took her out while in Hogwart, there was a chance that she would be noticed, and it would be problematic for me. It would be easier to take her out and hide her once I got back to the muggle world. I could even claim to have met her during the holidays once someone catch me with her. Also, since she is a succubus, I didn't know how the Hogwart wards would react to her presence.

I left Hogwart at the end of the month with the rest of the students. I was ready to deal with my relatives, and have a productive and enjoyable summer.
