It was all so similar to the first time, and yet, so different. There was no truest believer this time. He was left, unknown and unvisited, in a hidden away ward inside Storybrooke General. His own mothers didn't know he existed. Regina was no longer the town mayor. No, that high ranking position belonged to her big sister, who enjoyed the suffering of the people of Storybrooke just as much as her little sister once had.

Snow was no longer a school teacher. She was a struggling single mother, separated from her husband. It was clear to everyone in the town that they still loved each other. There were even rumours that David would be in the apartment long after dropping their baby son back off, and he wouldn't be in his temporary room at Granny's until the early hours of the morning. Nobody understood why the couple weren't together anymore. They just seemed to be hurting each other over and over again.

Then there was Emma Swan. She was no longer the town sheriff. No longer the Saviour. Not even the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming. Well, not that she knew of. She worked long hours in the Rabbit Hole with drunken men leering over her, feeling more powerless each and every day. There was no happiness to be found for the Charming family in this Storybrooke. Not a happy ending in sight.
