Last shot at revenge- part 2
gypsygal asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch2696 "A last shot at revenge".
A reminder, please give a description in your requests if possible. Even a brief one is fine. I don't always know what to do with them haha.
The injury was substantial. In fact, apparently she was lucky it hadn't been worse. If the bullet had gone centimetres to her left, it would have gone right into her liver. Then the damage would have been much worse, and they could have been looking at a transplant. Instead, it was just going to be a long stretch in hospital. Something Emma was not coping well with once she was well enough to be awake for large portions of the day.
"I'm bored." She frequently complained. The few TV channels she had access to all showed nonsense. She was bored with the few card games her parents knew and the food sucked. She was sick of the same four walls. She imagined her parents must be as well. They'd basically spent the same amount of time in the little room. She had encouraged them to go away and have a proper rest, but they refused. They weren't leaving her until she was coming out with them. That touched Emma more than words could ever say. They knew how bad her memories of hospital were. It meant a lot to her that they were making such an effort to change that.
"Want another game of rummy?" Charming offered her. Emma sighed, shaking her head. They'd played it twice already that day and it was only two in the afternoon. "Ok, how about…this?" Charming said, pulling something out his rucksack. Emma eyed is suspiciously. "Frustration?" She asked. "Is this some cruel joke?" Charming chuckled.
"It'll take your mind off the real frustration of being in here. What do you say?" Emma sighed dramatically.
"Better than nothing." She admitted. Charming smiled, setting the board up on the small table over Emma's bed. He knew it wasn't much, but he was glad to see her excited about something. He hoped she wouldn't be in here for long. He and Snow wanted her home just as badly as Emma wanted home.
