Chapter five
Uncharted Destiny
Kurt kept the radio down low; he favored listening to Blaine's soft snores coming from the passenger seat. Blaine had fallen asleep in his arms by the time he had walked them out the back door of the Sub house. Kurt had signed the papers, the final act of making Blaine officially his. It's funny Though, Kurt felt like Blaine was his almost immediately after meeting him. Signing the Sub house papers made little difference to Kurt. It did make things legal, with him holding the legally sealed document in his wallet then. Hunter had given it to him to sign before leaving the Collar removal room. He had carried Blaine out of there and then through the rest of the sub house to their exit. Hunter had rushed the rest of the process by walking with them to both to the remaining windows they were to visit before getting released.
Now, as Kurt listened to Blaine's little snores, he thought back to how out of it Blaine had become before he fell asleep. Hunter witnessed it too, and had reassured Kurt it was a normal response to Blaine recollaring. Hunter told him to review the section on recollaring to learn what more he could possibly expect. He pondered this while he stole glances at Blaine. It was hard not to stare at his neck. It was all red where the Sub collar sat, blotchy, in certain areas, where it looked like it might blister. Kurt was glad that his new collar was light weight and small so, it shouldn't cause any more irritation to the already sore area. He made a mental note to put some aloe and essential oils on his neck when they got home.
He let his mind wander back to when he first read the effects of recollaring. It had the surprising effect of arousing him, right there in the hallway. Kurt had thought at the time that he should feel ashamed of himself. The way he had felt, after Blaine lulled his head back and rubbed on him, right there, actually turned out not to be embarrassing. Boy would it have been pre meeting his beautiful Sub. He definitely knew he would have been if anything like that had happened any differently than it did earlier today, with Blaine. It had been as if they both NEEDED it. It was confirmation to Kurt that everything he'd been feeling towards Blaine was, dare he say...Perfectly RIGHT? As if, he fell into the most perfect roll for himself and, everything radiating off of Blaine signaled he was feeling the same.
Kurt clicked on his turn signal and took a left turn. He thought hard about his immediate attraction to Blaine, the overwhelming need to care for him, and his desire to make everything alright for him. Another big surprise was the way Blaine's submission affected him. Kurt hadn't picked up that Blaine's submission felt forced in anyway.
And that poem! That beautiful creative poem that had just fallen from Blaine's beautiful lips. That didn't feel like Blaine had just done as he was trained to do. It was to real, to raw. Kurt had sensed, that Blaine would of been crushed if Kurt had denied his submission and his need to serve him. Kurt still struggled with feeling 100% confident he had done right by Blaine though. Since he had met Blaine, he had made his decisions by following his gut and what it told him about what Blaine needed. He still battled with his doubts, his insecurities. He so desperately didn't want to overstep or do anything to make Blaine uncomfortable. To Kurt, Blaine was a person. Kurt believed Subs were people just the same as Doms. All Kurt's new found feelings for his Sub were alarming unplanned and very intense. They had only reaffirmed and strengthened his belief. Blaine was definitely a person. A person who needed him.
And Kurt- Kurt was a person who needed to help whenever he could. That was what got him into all of this in the first place. He just needed to figure out how all this was going work and (Oh Gawd) what he was going to tell his dad. Kurt pulled his cell phone out from the glove box, careful not to disturb Blaine, and turned it back on by the side button. He was careful to watch the road as he plugged it into the car charger. He had had to leave it in the car before he went into the sub house. No cell phones were allowed. It had been just another of the many rules the house had. Kurt expected there to be messages he'd need to get to after he could safely read his texts and emails. But for now, his biggest concern was getting Blaine home. Home, where he could better take care of him. Kurt listened to him breath (and snore,) while he drove as quickly, but safely, home with that wonderful boy that had shaken Kurt, and all he thought he knew about himself to the core. What an uncharted adventure awaited them both.
