No need for a saviour

A guest asked for a oneshot of *6x17 spoilers!* Snowing breaking the curse themselves before they set out to find Emma.

"You are delusional and speaking gibberish. Why would I trust you?" Snow asked. Snow smiled.

"Because you love me and I love you." He answered simply. "Come on." He added when she didn't respond. "Somewhere inside you know that!" He extended his hand out to her, praying she would take it. Snow looked between his eyes and his hand, thinking. What did she have to lose? Slowly, she reached out and took his hand. As she did, their hands shone brightly together. Charming watched as a cloudiness disappeared from Snow's eyes.

"Charming." She breathed, clutching his hand more tightly. He grinned at her.

"There you are." He commented. He knew she'd come back to him. After all, they always find each other. They wasted no more time. They each moved forward, pressing their lips together. As they did, a bright light shot out from them both. They pulled back, smiling widely. They knew what that meant.

Sure enough, within seconds, the sounds of people dropping items to the floor and greeting old friends with their real names filled their ears. They looked out the window and saw the same thing happening on the street. But a thought filled them both. Yes, they'd been reunited with each other, but their family wasn't completely back together yet.

"Emma." They both said together. They looked at each other, silently conversing. They knew where they had to go. The Evil Queen could wait. Finding Emma was more important, and the person who could help them do that was Rumplestiltskin.

They were right to go to him for help. They got lucky with their timing too. With the curse broken, Belle found her way out of the cell Regina had been holding her in. She stumbled into Rumple's shop just as he refused to help the Charming's, and managed to convince him to change his mind and help them. That is how Snow and Charming found out about the true extent of the powers of the pixie plant. That is what led them to creating a doorway in a quiet street in Storybrooke that led through to their now nine year old daughter. How beautiful she was. Charming couldn't help but shed a tear. She was perfect. He reached out and took Snow's hand, squeezing it. This was it. They stepped through the doorway together. The curse was broken, Emma didn't need to be the saviour anymore. She could live a normal life with them. They could be a family again.
