Hey! Back again with another chapter, only this time it's short because my time is limited today. I won't be able to post another chapter until this weekend because of work but fingers crossed that I can post this weekend. Hope you'll enjoy this chapter and thanks for the lovely review. :)

The Bayou

Elijah and Hayley look around the abandoned shack as Hayley shuffles through old photos. "You don't have to help. I can dig through the werewolf antique show on my own. Besides—"

She looks at his neck wound. "—shouldn't you put some kind of ointment or something on that?"

"The bite won't kill me. Like Niklaus himself, it's more than a nuisance than anything."

"Good, 'cause I'm eventually going to need a ride home," she says, smiling. "And thanks, by the way, for staying out here. You didn't have to."

"I know, but you said the people of this village are the only family you have left. I can relate."

"You're thinking about Klaus."

Elijah lets out a sigh. "Perhaps I was too willing to condemn him. In the thousand years that we have been together, my brother has committed numerous unspeakable acts. But, then again, so has Rebekah. So have I."

"So did I, the last time I was in Cabo."

Elijah stares at her in confusion. Hayley explains herself more. "We've all done bad things. It's just, most people die before the list gets embarrassing. But, don't for a second compare yourself to Klaus. "

The two stares at each other. After a long moment, they both awkwardly look away.

Hayley got uncomfortable. "It's like a freaking hot-box in here; I'm going to get some air."

She leaves to walk out onto the porch. When she gets outside, she finds a Bible resting on the corner of the porch. She picks it up and begins to flip through it. After a few moments, Elijah joins her outside.

"Someone left this here, "Hayley says, looking through the Bible.

"What is it?"

"A Bible, with a family history that goes back generations."

The two pore over the Bible's pages. There are many names and birth dates documented, the last of which is "Andrea Labonair 6 June 1991"

Hayley let out a soft gasp.

"What are these names? Who is Andrea?"

Hayley is in shock, couldn't even say a word. "I think I am….. That's the day I was born."

Kayla's POV

"Klaus!" I shout as I chase after him. He finally stopped when he got to his car and I stood there, putting my hands on my hips.

"Klaus, don't be such an idiot." I scoff at him as he stares at me coldly.

"I'm an idiot? Kayla, my brother, and Hayley have turned against me and I'm an idiot? I have been hurt and betrayed for thousands of years."

I shook my head gently. "And yet, Rebekah and Elijah have stayed with you. Yes, Hayley and Elijah were wrong to do that but can't you blame them? There are too much of coincidences going on here. I know you're hurt right now but I refuse to let you leave Hayley alone with Elijah, especially since she's carrying your child. What if Elijah hurts her because of hallucinations? Just….. Take Hayley home with you and I will stay behind and take care of him."

"No. I won't." He says, getting into his car.

"Niklaus Mikaleson, if you start the damn car, I will do something about that!"

Klaus let out a laugh. "Oh yeah? Try me."

He starts the car and I prepare myself.

"Oh yeah? You are going to regret that."

I slowly put my hand up and say the words: Nolite incipiens a vehiculo ad se ei convenit.

His car started to sputter and he started slamming the steering wheel, screaming out of rage.

I fold my arms and smirks at him.

He gets out of the car then slams the door behind him as he storms to me.

He gets right into my face and I wasn't afraid of him for the first time. "Start the bloody car now," he clenches at me.

I stare back at him and get closer to his face. "NO."

He backs away and lets out another roar. "I could kill you, woman!"

"You could but you know you can't because I'm right and you're wrong. Now I will start the car if you agree to take Hayley home with you. You don't have to talk to her or anything else. Klaus, for love of god, take her HOME."

Klaus stood there, obviously thinking about what I had said. "Fine, you win, Kayla. But I'm telling you right now, that you're lucky that I didn't hurt you."

"And you're lucky that I didn't make your blood boil again, right? Alright, you stay here and I'll go get Hayley. I won't make your car start until Hayley is in your car."

I smirk at him again then started to walk away. When I found Elijah and Hayley standing on the porch, they looked surprised to see me.

"I thought you left, Kayla?" Hayley says, closing the book that she was holding.

"Oh no, I didn't and I would never leave you behind. Now…I was able to convince Klaus to take you home, Hayley so I could stay here with Elijah."

They were speechless.

"But, I want to stay with him—"Hayley started to protest but I shook my head gently.

"Do you have any idea about the trouble I just went through to convince him to take you home? I even stopped his car from starting so he is not happy at the moment. Elijah, he might complain about me when you are better."

Elijah lets out a chuckle.

Hayley looks back at him and he shook his head at her. Hayley rolls her eyes then lets out a sigh.

"Are you sure?"

I nod.

"Thanks, Elijah. Good luck…" Hayley says to him and he nods.

"Come on, Hayley," I say, putting my arm around her shoulders and we walk together until we could see Klaus pouting against his car.

Hayley lets out a silent chuckle. "What did you do to his car?"

"Oh…I cast a spell, that's all. I'll see you at home."

Hayley gives me a hug out of appreciation. "Thank you. Please take care of him."

I nodded, hugging her back. "I will," I whisper, letting her take a step back. She walks to the car, ignoring Klaus and got into the car.

I raise my eyebrow at Klaus. "You ready?" I asked, staring at him.

Klaus nod, opening his car door. He waits for me.

I raise my hand on the car again. "Qui consentit, satus per currus."

The car starts again and he frowns at me. "Don't do it again, Kayla."

I let out a chuckle. "Don't be an asshole, Klaus. You take care of Hayley," I said, walking back to the Bayou.

I heard him let out another growl then slammed the door. He drove off quickly, leaving me alone in the silent woods.

The Abattoir

Tyler and Marcel sit at a table in the bar room while a couple of vampires guards stand around nearby.

Marcel leans back into his chair, staring at Tyler. "You wanna make a deal with me, you gotta offer me something. I already know about Hayley, the werewolf girl. What else you got?"

"What if I told you that werewolf girl is carrying Klaus' child? And that Kayla Henderson is the firstborn hybrid?"

Marcel leans in, clearly interested.

"And, if that baby is born, it'll mean the end of the vampire species. Same with Kayla if her gene gets triggered."

Marcel nods at him, silently agreeing to work together.

Oh Tyler...tsk tsk tsk. This is not going to be good.

Please leave a review. Thank you again for reading. :)
