Chapter 7
Fiddle Waves
Diagon Alley was pretty quiet during the day. With the war quite active for them, they tried to avoid sizeable crowds and being in the open in case of attacks. Fears from the first war had come back, and those from the older generations were doing their best to educate the younger generation in what to expect. Still, this did not mean that the alley was empty, and as the entrance from the Leaky Cauldron opened, Téa entered the alley and took in her surroundings.
For today's venture out from Potter Manor, she'd done her best to mask her appearance. The last thing she needed was to be recognized by friend or foe, and this trip was a very important trip to get done and over with. She was expecting guests later that evening and didn't want to stay too long in the public eye.
To mask her appearance, she'd used her handy Human Transfiguration skills. She changed her silver hair to a light brown colour and her emerald eyes to a baby blue colour. She'd not changed anything else, but she wore a simple pair of leather pants, knee high-heeled boots and a green cropped top.
Moving through the Alley, she kept a close eye on her surroundings. Even if the alley wasn't visited as often as it used to, didn't mean there wasn't an auror presence. Actually, the number of aurors were high and Téa could identify some members of the Order. Thankfully, she arrived at Gringotts and jogged up the steps. As she entered the bank, she gave a nod to the guards on hand who gave respected nods in return before she was greeted by a goblin.
"Follow me," he grunted smoothly.
It was nice not having to go through the waiting lines and she could see some glares from some individuals, as she was led from the lobby into the back halls of the bank. Within moments, she found herself seated in her Grimtooths office, a cup of hot cocoa in her hands.
Her eyes watched as the goblin placed a simple wooden box onto his desk before unlocking it. Before he opened the lid, he turned it towards her and then slowly opened it.
Placing her cup down, she scooted to the edge of her chair to get a better look. The box's interior was simple dark blue velvet, and three wood resting pieces kept the bone dagger secured inside.
The dagger, made of a Basilisk fang, was thin and sharp. Because of the curvature of the fang, it made the dagger curved. They fit it with a simple handle that was wrapped in leather, and there was delicately detailed carving throughout the bone.
"Your commission was difficult," Grimtooth declared, causing her eyes to move from the dagger towards Grimtooth. "However, as you can see, it has been completed and our forger is quite proud of his work. It has been a long time since we've received a request for a dagger such as this, especially made of such a - unique material."
"I was advised that Gringotts could produce the dagger and I'm glad that although complicated, it was a success. Thank you, Grimtooth, this is perfect. Give my thanks to the forger as well," Tea spoke while Grimtooth gave a nod.
After performing a few more business requirements, she bid her account manager a good day and left the bank. Although her trip to Gringotts wasn't long, it brought her what she needed to gain another level to her family magic. After the attack on St-Mungos, she realized Voldemort was not afraid to hit below the belt. It had already forced her to use some of her family magic and wanted to be ready to use more of it if it was necessary. Her family magic was also part of her and her history. She wanted to learn more about her family and her magic, which meant she had to have the right tools.
Returning to Potter manor, she went straight to her office. Moving to her desk, she opened the bottom drawing and pulled out a heavy book. Gingerly placing it on her desk, she took a deep breath before opening it.
It didn't take her long to read the small entry before she rested back against her chair.
"I'll need to do a few more rituals before attempting a summons. Thankfully I've gotten familiar with them." She mumbled while looking up at the ceiling of her office.
The rituals she did were nothing big or bad, nothing at all like the dark perversion Voldemort used to regain a proper body. Most rituals practised by her ancestors were to thank magic for her blessing and gifts. It was to show that she was welcomed into their family and lives. They were thanking her for her protection and trust in them.
They didn't use the rituals for power or longevity; they didn't use rituals to make themselves more powerful. They used it simply to grow they're bound with magic, to protect themselves and future generations.
"Téa?" Came Hermione voice causing her to shut the book and replace it into her drawer with the dagger.
She was just in time as the door to her office opened and in peaked the brunette witch who looked relieved to see her.
"You weren't at breakfast, so I was worried." her friend remarked, making her smile.
"Had to go to Gringotts this morning, it's going to be a busy day for me sadly. I'll be meeting with two Lords today, one of whom is an ally," she explained before a house-elf appeared at her side, catching both of them by surprise.
"Mistress," the little creature greeted happily with a bow. "You's guests have arrived in the secure room."
"Wonderful, thank you Bitsy," She thanked, earning a boy from the little creature before she disappeared again. Rising to her feet, she turned her attention back to her friend. "Come on Hermione, you can greet them with me."
"Are you sure?" The brunette questioned worriedly. "I mean they are allies, I wouldn't want to impose."
"You won't impose, come on," Walking around her desk, she led her friend out of her room and towards the secure arrival room.
They arrived relatively quickly and although she could tell Hermione was nervous, she couldn't help but grin. It was all she could do to smother down her giggles. A quick sensory check told her that those who had arrived in the room were indeed the ones she'd invited. Satisfied, she opened the door and got her first view of the new Lord Prewett and Lord Weasley. Of course, they weren't alone. As part of her invitation, she'd also requested both Ginny and Ron to come along.
Both looked unsure, probably because of the new status of their brother and how that would affect their relationship. A gasp from Hermione told her she'd seen who exactly her guests were and with a laugh, she quickly hugged both Ron and Ginny.
"Friends first," she whispered into both their ears before pulling away and turning to Bill and Charlie.
"Welcome Lord Prewett, Lord Weasley to Potter Manor," She formally greeted. "Please call me Tea,"
This seemed to relax both men as they gave a small bow to her.
"Thank you for your invitation into your home during these trying times, Lady Potter, please call me Charlie."
"I echo my brother's sentiments and please call me Bill,"
"Its weird isn't it," she laughed, causing both men to laugh as well. "Thank Morgana we don't have to do that often. I am thrilled that you guys came, and I know we have some things to discuss. Thank you for bringing both Ginny and Ron to, with how many times your family has invited me into your home; the least I can do is welcome you guys into mine. Now, why don't we move away from the arrival room? Ron, Ginny, I'm sure Hermione will be happy to show you around, hope you brought your swimwear." she declared happily while Hermione hurried to hug Ron and Ginny.
"Bloody hell mate, talk about 180," Ron laughed before he followed her into the hallway of Potter Manor.
"We'll join you after we've concluded our business." Téa assured them while giving both Ron and Ginny an apologetic look.
"Don't worry about it, mate, the pains of being the Head of a family. We'll see you later. Lead the way Hermione, and to the pool, not the library." Ginny teased, causing the brunette to laugh.
As Hermione lead their friends off, Téa turned back to Bill and Charlie and gave them both smiles.
"I am thrilled that you accepted my invitation." She began causing both men to smile. "Your family is a big part of my life. I thought we could do some business in my office. It has a terrace in a private garden, and I thought maybe a light snack would be nice."
"That sounds quite nice," Bill agreed, making her smile.
"Then follow me, we have a small bit to walk. If you have questions about Potter Manor, feel free to ask." She declared happily while leading the way towards the main floor office.
"It's an impressive property," Bill commented while he looked around. "I have a feeling that the wards around this property are some impressive ones, especially since nobody knows where Potter Manor is."
"Indeed, the Potter family has had a history of warding capabilities. All the wards settled around Potter's manor have been installed by a member of the Potter family and built upon as generation goes by. Its one of our strongholds, so usually we prefer to keep it as secluded as possible, location wise. This doesn't mean we've not had people or gatherings, however, normally they would arrive as you do, through our secure arrival points. I suppose you could say we are a bit paranoid." she laughed, causing brothers to chuckle. "How are you both doing, by the way? Gringotts and the dragons treating you well?"
"Well enough, having left Egypt has been a change I will admit however it's been nice being closer to home," Bill explained while Charlie let a grin form on his face.
"Dragons are doing brilliantly; our reserve is doing well as well, which is good because when a reserve does well, the dragons do well, vice versa. I have to say, though it surprised me to receive your letter." Charlie remarked, making Tea smile sheepishly. "We recently had a few new births at the reserve and there are a quite a large number of dragons that are pregnant which is great because certain breeds don't have a good population so whatever we can do to help with that is great."
"As long as Hagrid doesn't land with one of those dragon eggs, I'll be happy," Téa joked making the man laugh. "As for my letter, I can understand how surprising that could be. I hope I did not push you into decision you didn't want to make."
"No, you didn't. It was a choice I was considering for a while but at first, didn't know what it could have brought. I have to admit I'm not looking forward to the wizengamot meetings however I think I can do some changes as Lord Prewett." Charlie remarked, making her smile.
Taking a turn on the main floor, the quickly arrived at her official office and opened up the door. The room was large enough and decorated well enough to suit the needs of meetings however there was a large set of doors that led into a private garden specifically for the office. Leading the way through, they arrived outside where a pleasant breeze was making the flowers and greenery flutter. There was a table set up already, round in natural with large comfortable chairs around it.
"If you gentlemen don't mind, I wouldn't mind going over the business side of things first before going into other territories." She declared while motioning for them to fit.
It would be hours later that Tea, Charlie and Bill left her office. Business settled, they headed towards the pool and came to see all the other teenagers in the house playing in the water while laughing.
"Téa!" Flora exclaimed happily. "Come on and join in! Have some fun today!"
"Did you guys bring your swimming trunks?" She asked the two oldest Weasley brothers, who were quick to give nods. "Wonderful, you can go through those doors to change."
Moving over to one of the pool chairs, she swiftly pulled off her pants and top, revealing a strapless bra bikini set in rich emerald green. Releasing her hair, she quickly dived in and joined in on the fun. While the teens were having fun, Charlie and Bill joined Mrs Carrow, who was settled in the hot tub portion of the pool.
As Bill looked out over the pool and saw the teens laughing and fooling around, he couldn't help but smile and relax. What made the site something special wasn't because the teens were having fun amid a war, no it was the different people that were there. The Carrows had long since been a darker family as well as the Notts. To see two Slytherin prominent families playing with a muggle-born, and two people who were classified as blood traitors, not to mention the girl who lived, it was a sight to behold.

Grimmauld Place was surprisingly quiet as Amelia arrived in the kitchen space. She greeted Remus who was enjoying a calming cup of tea before grabbing her coffee and settling down. Grabbing the Daily Prophet she took a sip only to sputter and cough as she read the opening article.
Deep History of the Magical World and its creation
Daily Prophet
Le Fay, The name alone invokes a thought of dark magic, a dark lady accused horrendous acts and yet there is no historical proof of this even being true. For generations now, many associate Morgana Le Fay with the Evil Dark Lady who fought against Merlin, using dark and forbidden magic to ensnare muggles and use them in sexual tales, all the while killing others to amuse herself. Yet the authentic story of Morgana Le Fay is not very well known to those who live today.
Recently journals from so long ago have been found and authenticated by the Goblin Nation, allowing us to tell a tale of history long forgotten.
Morgana Le Fay was a prominent member of the Le Fay Family, its matriarch and some say, originator. To this day there is still a seat within the Wizengamot dedicated to the Ancient and Honorable House of Le Fay. But why does the Le Fay Family hold such a prominent position in our Wizengamot if their family was notoriously dark?
You see, long ago, before the wizengamot and before the Ministry was even created, there was some form of government that shaped the magical world, adding protection and aid. Morgana La Fay, Myrddin Emrys and others formed the Table of Ancients.
Created to unite magical families, protect their world, and provide guidance. They were the first wizengamot and later birthed the beginnings of the Wizengamot and later Ministry through later generations.
The Table of Ancients contained twelve of the oldest families of the magical world at that time and was divided between light and dark, providing an equilibrium for magic. The council heald 12 seats, 4 Light-based families, 4 Grey based families and 4 Dark based families.
The Light faction of the council consisted of the Emrys Family, The Gryffindor Family, The Cameray Family and the Thacarthe Family.
The Grey faction of the council consisted of the Ravenclaw Family, the Hufflepuff Family, the Hircern Family, and the Gudrirn family.
The Dark Faction of the council consisted of the Le Fay Family, the Slytherin Family, the Aes Family and the Rheanye Family.
The table of Ancients was originally founded by Morgana Le Fay & Myrddin Emrys who gathered allies and united them together to protect the land.
The table of Ancients then became the wizengamot who later created the Ministry of Magic. Yet as time began to pass, struggles over power festered amongst the magical families. Attacks began taking place until one day the most tragic attack took all but one member of the Aes Family to their grave. That same night another attack took place on the Le Fay Family however only two members of the family perished.
Fulled by anger, those of the darker sect wanted justice for the fallen family, one of the oldest of their sect. The Emrys Family stood by them and after careful investigation, they proved that the Cameray Family united with two lower families to destroy the Aes Family and the Le Fay Family.
The Cameray Family and the two families it had made alliances with were punished for their crimes, yet it did not stop the fear of the dark from spreading. After numerous other attacks, the Ancient families began to disappear. The Le Fay Family vanished, the Slytherin Family winded down to only a handful, while the Rheanye Family vanished after an attack on their ancestral home. The Emrys Family died out while the Gryffindor family stood strong, its last members, killed in battle.
Why may you asked, were these attacks taking place? Why did allies that had once gathered as a united entity to defend the magical world turned on itself? The answer is quite simple, power.
You see, the ancient families held close ties with magic, performing rituals to grow those ties to protect magic, show their gratitude and any other reason under the sun. Because of these close ties with magic, some families gained closer ties to different branches of magic. For example, documented findings reveal that the Emrys family had close ties to more nature-based magics, the Le Fay family had close ties to defensive and offensive magic. Some of the most powerful of which were connected to Necromancy. The Hufflepuff Family held close ties to emotion-based magic.
To some, these close ties to certain fields of magic were seen as too powerful, to "evil". Yet Magic is nor good nor evil, it simply exists. The intent of a person is everything so the slightly darker fields of magic don't mean evil, just as the lighter fields don't mean good.
The Le Fay Family strived to defend the magical community during its existence and continued to do so even after it disappeared, for you see the families never fully disappeared. The Le Fay Family protected its members after countless attacks, choosing to take new identities. You see, the Le Fay Family became the Peverel Family.
Other ancient families also did not die out but simply became new.
Now you know the new findings of the magical world, more of its history. The question you need to ask yourself is, are there such things as evil magic?
Settling the paper down, Amelia met the eye of Remus who hummed. Clearly, the man had read the article before her and his thoughts seemed calm.
"What do you think about this?" She questioned.
"It's an interesting article. Can't help but think one of these so-called ancient families is perhaps trying to re-enter the world without worry about repercussion, however, I'm not 100% sure which one. It will be interesting to see how this revelation is met, especially by the Minister and wizengamot. Some of these families still have seats correct?" He questioned making her frown.
"The Ancient and Noble Houses can only use their status on the Wizengamot after a vote of no confidence by the Ancient and Noble Houses however nobody has sat in those seats in many generations. It would cause a tide to turn in the chambers if things were to change. Not to mention they would technically keep their current titles as well." She explained before drawing a sign. "This will cause some chaos, however."
"It smells like Téa," Remus chuckled causing Amelia's eyes to widen.

Author note:
...
I know it's not the longest chapter I've written, but I think it's a pretty good one. I'm slowly exposing the Le Fay Family to the public. Introducing the history into the magical world.
Now let's see how we continue these chapters.
On a personal note, I'm having some stressful times at work right now but sometimes my writing allows me to just relax so I hope people enjoy.
