Chapter 5

Wendy's POV(At Fairy Tail)

It's been at least two weeks since the guild forced Lucy out I can't believe they would do such a thing, Lucy had never done anything to the guild to deserve that treatment. "Wendy? Are you okay?" Carla asked, I looked toward her and said "Carla, let's go i've made my decision and we're going." She looked a little shocked before she nodded as we walked up the stairs to the second floor. When I had gotten up there I was stopped by Laxus. "Hey, kid what are you doing up here." I looked up at him and said I was going to see the master. "Um, would you mind showing me where it is?" He studied me for a few seconds and then nodded "Sure kid I was on my way there anyway. C'mon follow me." He waved me over and we walked to the Master's office.

Laxus knocked on the door and waited to hear him give us entrance. I heard a soft and tired "Come in." Laxus pushed the door open and said "You can go first kid." I nodded and picked up Carla who had been walking silently beside me. I took a few moments to gather my thoughts before speaking. "Master, Carla and I would like to quit the guild." He looked surprised but before he could say anything Laxus spoke up from beside me. "Heh, I didn't know you were here for the same reason as me." He then turned his attention to the Master. "Gramps i'll be leaving as well." Master Makarov looked as if he was about to cry, but then he spoke. "May I know the reason as to why you three wish to leave?" I nodded my head and answered for Carla and I. "I wish to leave because the guild isn't the same, there mean, rude and cruel. They kicked Lucy out of the guild for no reason at all. I cannot stay in a guild who treats others so poorly. I'm sorry Master Makarov." I felt the tears start to come forward pushing at my eyelids but I whipped my eyes to keep from crying. "I'm leaving because, this guild kicked me out for endangering them and for hurting them but right when we get back from Tenrou they we're treating Lucy like shit! I'm not gonna stay in a guild full of hypocrites! Sorry Gramps, but I just can't do that, not after all that time figuring out what nakama and guilds were meant to be." Laxus had a dark expression on his face throughout the entire time he was speaking. I was surprised by what he said though, but, I guess he was right about Fairy Tail being hypocrites. I came out of my musing when I heard Master Makarov's voice. "It's not like I can stop you from leaving, to be honest, I wish I could leave as well but as the guild Master it is my duty to stay and protect the guild. So, I shall grant you this wish to leave. However you must remember these three rules." He cleared his throat in a poor attempt to hide his shaking voice, before speaking the three rules.

"One, you must never reveal sensitive information about Fairy Tail to others for as long as you live."

"Two, you must never use former contacts met through your being in the guild for personal gain."

"Three, though our paths may have diverged, you must continue to live your life with all your might, you must never consider your own life to be something insignificant, and you must never forget about your friends who loved you."

By now he didn't have the strength to hold back the tears so they flowed freely down his cheeks. I couldn't deny the fact that I was crying as well with Carla trying to cheer me up despite the fact she was crying along with Makarov and me. After he was finished talking our guild marks disappeared. Dissolving into magic particles before vanishing. When I looked at my right shoulder and find it bear, it's kind of odd since I was so used to seeing the guild mark there. I looked up at Makarov then ran to him to give him one last hug before I leave. I heard Laxus's footsteps then felt his hand on my head but when I looked up he had his face turned away from me. He had his other hand on Makarov's head as well, a few minutes later everyone had stopped crying,(except for Laxus he didn't cry) but before we could leave Makarov called out to us. He held two letters in his outstretched hand. "If by any chance you happen to cross paths with Lucy would you give her 's two if you plan on splitting up." When I went to grab one Laxus beat me to it and grabbed them both. When I was going to say something about it he started speaking, not to me, but Makarov. "We only need one Gramps i'll be traveling with the two midgets." Then he threw one of the letters on Makarov's desk. He looked at me with a smirk on his face and walked towards the door. "Bye you old geezer i'll contact you some time to let you know how things are going." I followed after but not before turning to my former Master and giving him one more hug while saying "Goodbye Makarov i'll miss you." Then I walked to Laxus who was leaning by the open door waiting with Carla floating by his head. We turned and left, I heard the door closing behind me, it seemed to be very loud in my ears echoing in my head as a reminder that there's no turning back. I turned to the brighter side though, this door closed so another could be opened and when I walk through the next i'll be careful with many more things.

The three of us we're standing at the top of the staircase, staring at the people below, then we walked down the stairs and through the doors of the guild, unnoticed. Once we had walked outside I asked Laxus "Um, where should we go? Should we try and look for Lucy so we can give her the letter or should we just travel randomly and wait to stumble upon her?" He seemed to consider what I said before replying. "Well, first I think we should go pack up our stuff and meet at the train station in an hour and i'll tell you my answer when we meet up again. Does that sound good to you?" I nodded my head and we split up.

An hour later I had finished packing and headed to the train station in a hurry since I was running a bit late but, when I got there Laxus wasn't even there. I only had to wait a few minutes though as he arrived with a duffle bag over his shoulder. He walked up to me and handed me a ticket. "We're not traveling far, we'll start at the nearest towns in our search for the Blondie alright." The words took a few minutes to process in my head, I smiled after realising we're going to go look for Lucy! "Thanks Laxus, i'm glad we're going to searching for Lucy first." He nodded and pat my head before we got on the train.

We took our seats in the back of the wagon. I sat across from him with Carla in my lap, we made small talk until the train started moving. Laxus had been looking out the window but I could tell he was turning a bit green. I giggled softly before using troia on him, it took a minute but the magic finally started kicking in and he was looking a lot better. I smiled and said "I didn't know you had motion sickness too." All he did was shrug in response. I sighed this was going to be a long trip, knowing this made me a little sad because I wanted to find Lucy as soon as possible. She could be lying somewhere all by herself, bleeding to death! Or she could already be dead! I pushed that thought away, it wouldn't do me any good if I thought like that. Surely someone helped her and she is now resting, doing her best to get better. Yeah, she was in some stranger's home recovering, a stranger that could easily take advantage of her. I started to fidget with worry and my palms became sweaty from being so nervous. My thoughts continued with all the dangerous scenarios that Lucy could get into in her condition.

Laxus's POV

I watched on in amusement as the brat in front of me began to fidget nervously, hm, maybe she's worried about something. My curiosity got the best of me and I asked "Hey, kid what are you thinking about? It's obviously bugging you so, tell me, i'm curios." She looked at me and started rambling about how Lucy could be in danger with all of these different situations. My amusement only grew, I smirked "I'm sure someone in Fiore has a good enough heart to take care of Blondie and not try anything. You know for a twelve-year-old you sure worry a lot if you continue that you'll start to grow white hairs from all the stress." I chuckled at her red face. It was going to be lots of fun with this girl and her cat around. Speaking of which the cat hasn't said anything yet. "Kid what's up with your kitty-cat." She looked at the cat in her arms and said "Carla, are you feeling okay?" The kitty-cat looked up at her with a stern look before talking "Wendy." She paused for a short moment. "I think I have an idea as to where Lucy's at." We stared at her in shock. I was going to ask her where but she started first. "I had a vision of Lucy in a forest, with five companions, two guys, one girl, and two exceeds. And I got a quick glimpse of the sign of the town she's in. And to our luck this train is taking us there, but there's at least three very large forests in that town. The Cursed Forest, the Dark Age Forest, and the Forbidden Forest." Wow was my only thought. "Pretty intimidating names." I said with a small grin. "I think we should start from the top of the list. So when we get to town we go to the Cursed forest first. Just to make things easier on us with this whole situation." I got nods of agreement then we fell into silence.

It had at least been an hour since we got on the train and I was bored as hell. And hungry. I sighed then put my headphones on and turned toward the window to try to distract myself, eventually I closed my eyes and went to sleep.

I awoke to the inter come and the cat's voice. I groaned and stood up ignoring the cat as it talked about something I didn't care about, I grabbed my bag and followed the girl out the train. "Carla? What did the people Lucy was with look like, did you get a good look at them?" That caught my attention and I took my headphones off to listen better. "Yes, one exceed was a reddish brown with a sleeveless jean jacket. The other exceed was green with a pink frog costume. The girl kind of looked like Lisanna but her hair was a bluish white, she wore a white shirt and brown shorts. One of the guys was a spiky blonde a few shades lighter than Lucy with a scar on his right eyebrow, wearing a grey t-shirt and brown knee length khaki shorts. The second guy has black hair and a scar on the bridge of his nose, he wore a black shirt and dark brown khakis as well." Hm well I guess the description was better than nothing. I pushed that thought out of the way and put my hand on the kids head to steer her toward a restaurant not to far away. She didn't say something like I expected her to, but instead she just looked at with a curious expression. I ignored it and continued on my way to the destination.

After having ate some food we walked around the town since we might have to come back for supplies. The midget - I mean Wendy - went to a ton of shops with Carla buying clothes, I was surprised she was so into shopping and had enough jewels for it.

When their shopping spree was over we headed toward the Cursed forest. This trip was going to be long and hard.

No one's POV

"So how are we going to start this search?" Wendy asked.

"I think we should look for something that gives us a hint so, try using your noses to pick up her sent. Also keep an eye out for any signs of struggling or blood, maybe pieces of clothing that might have gotten caught." Carla got nods of agreement from the Dragon slayers. The three then set off on their journey to find Lucy.

I just might re-watch Fairy Tail, I love the anime it's always held a special place in my rank of favorite shows

But things are really bouta go down hill I'm not even sure if the next chapter was ever finished? It's more a drabble than a chapter really
