Proving herself

Heeeeeyyyy asked for a oneshot of fourteen year old Emma in the EF running away after a fight with her parents. When they find her after hours of searching she's kicking one of the Evil Queen's guards butts.

"I told you we should have put some more guards on the main gate." Charming grumbled as they trekked through the forest. Snow just sighed.

"Yes, you did, but how was I supposed to know that Emma would take it upon herself to throw a missive hissy fit and trot off by herself on her horse?" Snow pointed out. Emma was getting older now. She was fourteen and the teenaged tantrums were becoming far too regular an occurrence. This one had been pretty big. She had wanted to travel by herself to Thomas and Ella's palace for a week in the summer to stay with Alex, as she had been invited to. However, Emma had neglected to point out the invitation also included her parents, as Thomas and Ella knew very well Snow and Charming wouldn't let Emma make such a long journey alone. After a proper shouting match with both her parents, Emma then took it upon herself to just hop on her horse and leave anyway. Now here Snow and Charming were, trekking through the forest after her. They were both terrified. What if something had happened to her? The Evil Queen's men often roamed the forest looking for any glimpse of the Charmings. As they followed Emma's horse's hoof marks, things got louder. They were sure they heard swords clashing. Their hearts plummeted into their stomachs. They raced towards the sounds of the noise, but by the time they arrived, the fight was over. One of the Evil Queen's black knights lay with his arms tied behind his back and Emma giving his backside a kick for good measure.

"Emma!" Her parents cried out. They ran the remaining few metres to her, embracing her.

"Are you alright?" Charming asked her. Emma nodded.

"I'm fine." She told them. "I would be miles away if this bozo hadn't gotten in my way." She looked cockily up at her parents. "So, what was all that about it being too dangerous for me to be out here alone?"

"If anything, this proves our point. Don't get too big for your boots." Snow warned her. "This was one guard. Don't get us wrong, we're mighty impressed, but can you honestly say the result would have been the same if there was a crowd of them? Remember, Regina's knights fight dirty." Emma sighed. She had to admit, he had nearly got her a few times.

"That's what we thought." Charming said, breaking the silence. He pulled the tied up guard up by the back of his shirt. "This one will be going straight to the dungeon when we get home. As for you, young lady, you'll be going straight to your bedroom for a week."

"What?!" Emma screeched. "I just captured a black knight singlehandedly!"

"Yes, after running away and lying to us. Do you want to make it two weeks?" Snow warned her. Emma's face fell. She folded her arms across her chest and stomped back to her horse, saddling up for home. She might as well join the stupid guard down in the dungeon for all the fun she'd be allowed to have over the next week.
