Dinah was in the middle of the storm. She was running but it was in slow motion and didn't know she was nearby the Lightfoot household. Ian was watching the rainfall and spotted her running

"Guys, there's a girl outside…" Ian alerted Barley. His older brother rushed to the window and the girl fell because of the basketball.

The boys tried to rush outside but Colt stopped them.

"What do you think you're doing?" He asked

"There's a girl outside and she fell…" Ian explained. Colt turned around to see the motionless girl outside.

"Come on…" Barley brushed past Colt with Ian following him. The pouring rain and weather didn't suit either of them but they didn't want to leave the child in the cold.

"Wake up kid...Wake up…" Barley called. Ian touched her wrist

"Barley, She's knocked out," Ian told him. The boys both picked her up and her bag and carried her inside.

"Poor baby...She must be freezing" Laurel said when she saw the boys carry her inside.

Once the girl was inside, Barley brought her upstairs with Ian following him. They made their way to Ian's room.

"Barley…" Ian called

"She needs to be warm...Get me one of my shirts…" Ian rolled his eyes and went downstairs.

Barley gently changed her out of her wet clothes and went downstairs to hang them dry. Ian met him with a large shirt and they went upstairs to quickly dress her. Ian tucked her in his bed. They both stood over the bed with the motionless child laid and wondered

"Where did she come from…" they left the room to let her rest.

Dinah bolted awake. She spotted her doll beside her and held it close to her, gently moaning. Then her pointy ears perked hearing voices. She got out of bed and exited the room

"I'm telling you It's real…" she heard Barley. She slowly went down the stairs as she heard Barley talking to the others about last night

"A dead nurse told me to protect Dinah...or else she'll die…" Barley explained

"Now are you sure Barley…" Ian asked him

"She also showed that lab from the news...I think that's where Dinah is from…"

Then Dinah perked when He mentioned a nurse. She quickly flew up to him

"Well good morrow Dinah…" Dinah moaned frantically.

"I think she's asking about the dream…" Colt asked her.

"Well Dinah...a deceased nurse told me to protect you from the lab or else you'll die…"

Then a vision of Nurse Lily came up and Dinah pointed at the vision.

"Yeah Yeah...That's her...Did you know her?"

Dinah didn't move. Tears brimmed her light green eyes and then she let out the biggest sob and when her tears landed on the ground, crumpled blue irises grew in their place

"Hey...What's wrong…" Laurel placed her hands on her back. Then Dinah brushed Laurel off of her and got really angry and gripped her hands in her hair and angrily threw a fit.

"Hey...What's the matter with you…" Colt called to her. then red irises grew along with purple ones. Ian looked at them and tried his best to interpret them.

"Hey hey...Dinah…" Ian tried to get her attention but Dinah slouched down on the wall nearby the Quest of Yore covered dining room table and cried, covering her face in her knees.

"Are you upset about her...Was she your friend…" Ian asked her. All she could do was cry and more and more flowers grew, almost making the living room a garden, a very angry and somber garden.

"You were very close to her weren't you…" Ian coaxed her to answer him.

"Ian...let's give her some time…" Laurel placed a hand on his shoulder and led him away from her. The family left her to mourn the loss of her only friend she's had and her protector. She looked up from her crying and looked at the garden as it reminded her of a certain night.

Dinah was being dragged, screaming, and crying. She reached for Dr. Peterson and he just turned away from her and she got thrown into a small dark room.

She tried to scratch her way out but the door was locked tight. She stuck her hands in and lava came out of her hands but no matter how much she tried to burn the door down, it wouldn't budge.

She felt claustrophobic in there, It felt like she couldn't breathe and all she could do was curl in a ball and cried. After a few minutes, she heard the door unlock and she found none other than Nurse Lily. She rushed to her and whimpered.

"Shh shh shh…" Lily hushed. She looked both ways and took the girl out of the room and ran.

"Don't those people know she's not an animal…" The nurse whispered to herself.

When they got to her cell, The nurse stole a blanket, a pillow, and a large burger.

"Eat up sweetie…" Then Dinah bit at the burger and chowed down. "That's it...Good girl…"

Then the girl smiled up at the nurse. The nurse made a zip sign to the girl and she responded with the same sign. Then the girl showed the nurse a drawing that she completed. It was a drawing of her and the nurse holding hands in a garden of beautiful flowers and the child moaned happily. Nurse Lily grinned ear to ear at the picture

"This is beautiful-" she stopped when she saw Dinah making an illusion of a garden just like the picture. The nurse was in awe at how she made the flowers bloom like on a summer day. Then the child snuggled up against the woman and the nurse held her and hummed a little lullaby to her to get the child to go to sleep.

Dinah snapped herself back into reality and looked at what she had done to the living room. Red and blue irises surrounded the child and the dining room table was knocked over. She was surprised that she did this much damage. She was just angry and upset about what happened to Nurse Lily.

"I should've been killed, not her...Why did she have to die because of me...I'll never forgive myself…" She thought. She ducked her head back into her knees

Just then a vision came to her. It wasn't something that she conjured. It was Nurse Lily's ghost. She was dressed in her nurse uniform. Her blonde hair was luscious and beautiful and she had a faint halo on her head. Dinah perked up seeing this and her eyes widened and her mouth was agape with a small moan

"Dinah is now your name…" Nurse Lily spoke in a kind voice. Dinah nodded her head. Dinah nodded her head. Nurse Lily looked around to see the mess she made

"I know you're angry and upset...but my death is not to your blame…" then Dinah started to cry again but the nurse gently shushed her, placing her hand on Dinah's cheek.

"It's going to be okay...I wish I were here with you…" Dinah nuzzled herself in the cyclops hand.

"This family will protect you from those monsters in the lab...You must be careful...Live your life to the fullest...and your abilities are for you...not for everyone else…Do you understand?"

Dinah looked up at the nurse with tear-stained eyes and nodded her head. The nurse smiled and brought out a familiar picture that the child drew

"This is something that I will forever treasure…" then the nurse kissed the child on the forehead.

"Please be careful, and I will always be with you...No matter where you are…" then the nurse disappeared from the child's sight.

Dinah looked around the room and the flowers were now pink and yellow, which lifted her mood a little.

She didn't know that the family watched everything unfold and they all saw the nurse's ghost before her eyes.

"Well, For Dinah...We have to protect her… and teach her" Laurel announced. Then the family approached her and gave her comfort and the love she needs.
